Comfortable and very clean room. The family room was perfect for my weekend trip with my older kids so we each had our own bed and it gave us a lot more space. I think this is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. It looks like they recently updated everything too.

Comfy and clean

This small motel in the country was perfect. Spotlessly clean, spacious room, comfortable beds and very quiet. Was only 15 minutes to Munising. Staff was very helpful. Ask them were to get the best ice cream down the road. Was very good. Everything worked in the room as should. Only thing I can think of to make it better would be if there was a fire pit in the back to use.

Hidden gem in the country.

Stayed at Village Inn Motel in Chatham, MI. Great place, reasonable price. Great scenery on way to Motel.Close to Munising. I visited Munising Falls and Alger falls. Very beautiful area to visit. Will visit again.

Fall colors

We read the reviews and chose this motel, and are glad we did.  They use a no contact check-in and out system.  The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.  Good coffee was available.  Will stay here again when in this area.

Great Nights Stay

We stayed on the backside.  It was very quiet.  The beds and pillows were comfortable.  What we appreciated the most was that it was SO clean!
The staff was helpful.  It was reasonably priced.  We would highly recommend staying here.

Cleanest hotel we have stayed at

Our family stayed here on the backside and loved the spacious room. Nice table space, and the beds were comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful, sitting on the chairs, by the grass. The WiFi,fridge, and microwave came in handy. If we needed anything, the staff provided it right away. We would definitely stay here again, when we were back in the area.

Super Clean

We stayed here two years ago and returned for a snowmobile trip this year.  This is the definition of a small business doing it right!  The owners work hard to keep the place friendly, clean and everything working properly.  Most rooms are spacious with 2 queen beds.  We rented their one upsized room which has a separate suite with 2 Queen beds and a private bathroom.  This is in addition to two single beds and a 2nd bathroom.  This room is ideal for families, giving parents some privacy or for a larger group.  You could comfortably sleep six people in this room.  We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

The snowmobile trails are approximately .5 mile from the parking lot allowing easy access in many directions.  We rode 500 miles in 2.5 days going in 3 different directions from the hotel.  We could have rode much further but that was plenty.

Great Value for a Group!

What a lovely surprise! Booked this reasonably priced room for a couple nights with my college daughter. We just needed a place to crash when we weren't exploring ice caves, waterfalls or the frozen Lake Superior.

What a find! We arrived after dark, but the room was cozy warm! Although we have not met the owners (contactless check in) we felt welcomed and appreciated. There was a lovely note, and the room is so clean! The cleanest of any place I have stayed. 

As others have mentioned, the room is spacious and having 2 sinks is helpful. It was great to have a table for eating the take out dinner and breakfast we brought with us. Nice sized refrigerator, plus a microwave and Keurig. 

We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Munising area. 

Best motel around

I feel lucky to have found the Village Inn! When everything I found in Munising was overpriced, I stumbled across this motel online, and I'm so glad I did. Communication with the owners was great from the moment we booked. We came in late at night, but with contactless check-in, it was so easy! We found our room to be quite large and spacious and immaculately clean. It was spotless down to the shine on the bathtub and fixtures. It was a nice quiet stay, and even though we didn't check in with a human, we felt welcomed by the nice note in the room. The rooms have two sinks; one in the room and one in the bathroom, which was very convenient. The beds are very, very firm, which unfortunately meant I personally didn't sleep all that well, but not the fault of the motel by any means. We had a great experience here, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Definitely recommend this place

What a nice place!  It's quite clean, modern, and lots of nice touches.  You have two sinks, in and out of the bathroom. A really nice shower with lots of hot water, plenty of nice fluffy towels, a Keurig coffee maker, table and chairs for meals or playing games, nicer sheets and covers than is usual, and parking right outside every door.  The owner was very friendly and helpful.  We really enjoyed our stay.
