Too high of chemicals for the indoor pool it burnt my family’s legs and even my child! The hotel is amazing and the staff is great except a few people which is a normal thing for everyone. I love this hotel and choose it over compass cove but I hope the little things that happen change in the future so we can continue staying here. The people were okay there but a few problems with locals at the hotel.

Overall decent hotel

The Sandy Beach Resort was a great resort, the rooms were nice and clean and had a nice variety of rooms, the staff overall was nice and friendly and helped in anyway they could. The heated pools were great and the hot tubs were nice, the price overall was good to for everything you get and being an ocean front resort,it is also very close to the boardwalk and 2nd ave pier and shops, and sky wheel  I would recommend this resort for any family to stay. My family and I will be back

Sandy Beach Resort

There were roaches in the room. The cable kept freezing and the TVs did not half work. My husband had to fix the cable line. I was really disappointed when I seen the roaches crawling around. The staff was noisy in the hallways at 6am until. The people in the room above us had a lot of bumping and stomping as well. Told the clerk at check out about the roaches she just repeated what I said.

Do not recommend

Incredible location, the balcony view is beautiful.  Overall the room was good, just needed some tlc.  Stain on the kicthen wall, bathroom door hanging off, dirty towel. I’d stay again in a different room. Staff were great. 

Great place overall, just needed a tiny bit of TLC

The room is great . The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We got stuck in the elevator and someone got us out pretty fast which was awesome. Will come back again next year and hopefully bring more friends with us.

Accommodations were as advertised.  Room was clean plenty of supplies . Other GUEST couldn't follow the no smoking rule for the property . But overall  a nice stay. Not sure I will return to this part of myrtle beach in the future.

Great stay.  Very clean. I like staying here because it is close to many attractions. The hallways smelled very strongly of cleaning supplies this trip , which is my only complaint. Other than that I was pleased with my experience as I usually am. 

Great stay

Pros:  The overall stay was very pleasant. The room was large and had all the amenities that we needed for the most part.  Staff that we came in contact with were very friendly and attempted to be accommodating and helpful as best they could.  Location was perfect.  Balcony over looking the ocean.  Kitchen large enough for one person cooking but had the necessary stove, microwave, and small appliances.  

Cons:  Room decor was very dated.  Living room sofa needed a serious deep deep cleaning.  The mattress has also seen it best days.  It needs to be replaced asap.  Ours leaned in one direction.  I would like to suggest that since this is a beach hotel with kitchens and dining areas that guest rooms include a broom, paper towels and perhaps a guest pack of coffee, creamer and sugar. Our stay wasn't long enough to grocery shop, but it would've been nice to not have to go get those things every morning, or at least not the first morning. Luckily we were there during the off season, so the sand tracked in from the beach was minimal but still very annoying.  Additionally, the thermostat display in the room was broken.  After a few hours of trial and error we got an appropriate temp set. Maintenance came quickly to repair it, however they weren't able to do so during our stay.  The bath tub drain was very very slow to drain.  During a normal shower (10 mins) we had water pooled at our lower calves.  We called no one ever came up to check it out.  Lastly, we requested extra bed linen and pillows for the murphy bed, they also never came.

Safety Concern:  The only thing I can think of was the parking lot.  Guest park across the street in the reserved lot.  For a few of our comings and goings it was super dark and a bit sketchy due to bushes, trees and inadequate lighting.  Be careful and keep your head on a swivel. 

   

Beautiful View...Good place to stay for the value

Our condo was exactly like the pictures, maybe even better. It was adequately stocked with what we needed for the few days we were there. The condo was very clean and the beach view was amazing. We did have an issue with the jacuzzi tub in the master suite but a suggestion from Codey, our host, got that sorted out in a jiffy.  If you were wanting to do much cooking there it could use a couple of added utensils and whatnot but we didn't plan to so we had everything that we needed. The outdoor pool was heated and the hot tub was hot, but the jets did not work in that particular tub. We had to use the outside as the inside ones were busy at the time we decided to visit them, no big deal.  I would definitely reserve this unit again with our host Codey, they responded very quickly when we had any questions. It was close to everything that we wanted to do.  Thanks for a great stay!

Girls trip

This place is so disappointing. The room looked nothing like the photos and overall it is very run down and dumpy. Drop ceiling is hanging over one of the indoor pools and the bed was hard and lumpy. I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere.
