I had just gotten off the phone with the reservations department and spoke with Charlie Rose. He was the most pleasant and informative person. I have spoken to in a very long time. This was my deciding factor on where to book our vacation this year. Thank you, Charlie Rose. I hope the hotel knows how lucky they are to have someone who has a heart as big as yours.

We were very disappointed wit our experience at the Dunes Village resort. We were promised several times that we would be provided with portable cribs for our 7 month old babies however when we got to the resort no portable cribs were available! We waited many hours before we finally got the portable cribs. The condo kitchen did not have enough pots and pans and bowls. The shelf in the refrigerator was broken! I had to call the front desk to get toilet paper and dish soup.The pool had so much chemicals that it burned our eyes even when we weren’t swimming. Very disappointed!

Don’t provide what they promise

We stayed here for Spring Break this year with a 4 and 6 year old.  The kids LOVED it.  They had a blast!  Shannon checked us in and was super friendly and helpful!  Loved the indoor water parks (2).  SOME of the indoor pools are heated, but two of them seemed to not be heated at all - BRRRR!  Hardly any one would get in them.  Also wish the outdoor pools were heated.  It was a bit chilly the week we were there, so we were in the hot tubs most of the time.  

There are four water slides - two smaller ones and two larger ones.  The green/blue larger one was our favorite!  Also two splash pad areas, but again - BRRRR! 

They had people watching over the pool areas.  They were pretty hands off, but would intervene if kids started to act overly rowdy.  

We had breakfast on-site - was not included in the price.  Food was okay - buffet is a little pricey for 4 and 6 year olds as they hardly eat, so we opted to go somewhere else after trying the buffet on site.

Gift shop is in one of the buildings - that was pretty helpful to have!  They have a lot of different things you may need like water shoes, goggles, sunglasses, etc.  Just know it's a bit on the small side and doesn't carry all sizes.

Overall, we enjoyed our trip.  I think the kids would come back for the water slides.  I think for the price, it was a good deal and the kids had a good spring break.  Me personally, I would probably splurge next time and go on a cruise with the water slides on the boat!  But this is definitely a good option if you are looking for an affordable family vacation - just be sure to go in warmer months!!

Enjoyed the Water Park, but cold!

My family and I had an awesome time at dunes village resort😍…thanks to Kimoy the front desk agent she was very warmth and attentive to us,very professional and informative. It was a great experience apart from me contracting the flu lol but anyways we will most definitely be back😉😉😉

The Dunes Village Resort was and still is my go to spot for a get away. Between the activities and the indoor water pool it’s never a dull day I personally love my oceanfront suite. Since moving from NC to GA the biggest park about the Carolina’s is the relaxation coming from the sunrise/ sunset and the sounds of the ocean. I can say as emotion as this trip has been for me Shannon has been helping and providing exceptional service and communication throughout my stay. She has a bubbly personality and knows how to make sure your enjoying yourself while your residing in the resort. I am enjoying the time I’m having and so have my children. Makes us consider moving back. Thank y’all!!

Dunes Village Fever…

The room was clean and nicely arranged. We used a queen suite with a full kitchen and we were able to cook without having to bring pots and utensils from home. 
Over all the stay was pleasant and the view was great!
The staff was super friendly and just overall happy! 

Business Trip

Great Complex! Something for everyone in the Family. The Indoor pools, hot tubs, water features are so much fun! I didn't think we were ever going to get our grandchildren off of the waterslides! We'll be back!

Great Place for a Vacation!

Starbucks in the lobby is amazing!! Ashan’ae, Miss, Canym, and Shaika did amazing on the morning of October 1st 2023!!

Love the waterpark!! Great atmosphere and family friendly!! Right on the beach!!

This is the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time. Very clean,friendly staff. Very nice parking garage. Great water parks. Had a super breakfast and dinner in the restaurants on site. I can not stress how clean our room was... we will stay here again.  Great family hotel.

Best hotel

This place is the best! If you are going to go anywhere in Mrytle Beach, this is the place to stay if you have kids. There is so much to do to keep them occupied. Multiple pools, splash pads, lazy river, hot tubes, inside and outside. The room was clean, hotel clean, and even the parking garge was not bad. The staff were amazing.  My only tip would be if you have a kid who likes to wrap themselves up after swimming, bring your own towel as the towels at the pool are small.
