Very disappointed. Upon arrival and adding water bottles to refrigerator we came across long strands of hair on the shelves. Very unappetizing!  Next we discovered the same in the bed.  Felt very uncomfortable the whole night.  Should have taken pictures which unfortunately we did not.  When we checked out, reported as such to Viviana. She ensured me that GM Jackie would return the call. Thst never happened. Followed up with another call and never received a courtesy call. Very disappointed.

We rented the apartment 45 very well located in the corner of the residence with a very nice sea view. The rental on the other hand is not well maintained. Old furniture, broken and unclean plastic dishes, bathroom drawers that do not close, dirty dishwashing, almost clogged sink, grilled and unchanged light bulbs... the bedding is not very comfortable. We did not have a cold because not only the noisy heating does not work very well either.

A beautiful view, but not very well rented.

We spent 2 night at windward shores along with 5 other families, and we all had such a wonderful time! First off management at this resort is excellent! The entire staff truly made our stay so much better. Donna and Baldwin checked us in and just made our stay extremely comfortable. Anything needed or any issue brought up was addressed within 5 minutes or less. Beach attendees where always there bright and early and helped set up beach chairs and umbrellas with a smile and great attitude! The units all were very clean, updated and comfortable. We’ve been to many other similar style accommodations in the area and windward shores stands out for the impeccable service and hospitality. Again thanks to management and staff.  Can’t wait to be back again!

Amazing place!

We’ve stayed for 4 nights in June 2022, at room #16.
Very clean and quite hotel, with beach service staff. 
Nice outdoor pool.

The comfortable and spacious room was very quite despite we had neighbors at the upper level, which was one of our concerns.
Also, there was a porch with a table and chairs, great to have breakfast, facing the dunes.
We had dishwasher, stove, microwave, a big fridge and a full set of plates, glasses and dinnerware.
Very comfortable parking lot, next to the tennis courts.
A few steps from the Clam Bar on the highway.

Great service by front desk staff (Dana, Baldwin, and Jacklyn).
Highly recommended hotel.

HIGHLY RECCOMENDED HOTEL

Our unit was your average condo rental. Very nice location on the beach with a path from the condos to the ocean.   Decor of grey and white, nothing fancy but certainly adequate. The bathroom was a good size with a nice size shower, plenty of hot water and plenty of towels. The overall clealiness was good, but you could see a little sand on floor of bathroom near radiator and a few little webs in some corners. Not unexpected since the location is on the beach.  The ceiling in our unit bathroom needs a little maintenance. The kitchen was well appointed and very clean.  The bed was clean and fairly comfortable, except for the bump down the middle to make the "king" bed feature.  I'd rather have a queen without a bump than a king with that bump.

Adequate Stay

WS ( Windward Shores) more than Exceeded my expectations. The location is convenient to all destinations in the Hamptons, area state parks, wineries and restaurants. 
The hotel is right off the Montauk Highway but is private once you get into the complex.  It is serene and peaceful. There is  a tennis court and pool and other activities to keep yourself busy in the summer. What shines here is the pristine beach that is a few steps from your unit. I had made a request for a particular room thatI liked the decor of and magically they were able to honor my request. To say that I was happy by the decor of this unit is an understatement. Everything inside was pristine clean and I had no hesitation in settling in. Bathroom was sanitized and kitchen spotless. There has been some renovations which we appreciated.  
Everything needed for a weekend stay is available in the unit. I had to ask for nothing extra. Kitchen utensils,crockery and cutlery. There is the following in the unit as well , hairdryer, iron, vacuum, medium size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker( and coffee supplies) bath supplies and dishwash supplies are provided. 
Water pressure and hot water excellent!
The hotel has gone above and beyond to have contactless check in and check out  during Covid guidelines and communication is excellent on all levels. Reminders were sent by voicemail, text and email so I could miss nothing. Housekeeping refills can be ordered the day off by phone text and is delivered to your door. We lacked nothing. If I am being nitpicky about the room it would be that the pillows and area rugs need to be upgraded. There is great attention to detail in this unit. The staff at Windward shows are very responsive, polite and go out of their way to make you happy. Beach chairs are provided by the hotel and although we did not need it umbrellas are available in the summer. Although it was Spring, I can tell attention to detail has been maintained in the landscaping and flower beds and it must be lovely in the Summer. Walkways and hallways are clean with trash containers all over the property. 
The beach is steps away from any unit and is just stunning. Sunset pictures are a dream.I would have no hesitation in revisiting this resort again and had a wonderful,restful and rejuvenating time.

Steps to the stunning Ocean. Pleasant stay.

We had an excellent stay here. The check in and check out was completely mobile and efficient but when we had a question the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. Even the fold out couch was comfortable. This is such an excellent location right on the beach with a lovely heated pool. It was cool at night so we slept with our window open and had fresh air and heard the ocean all night- so nice. The private beach chairs and umbrellas are worth the price of the room if you’re coming as a family, it was perfect for us with two young kids. Every other guest we encountered was lovely and friendly. This isn’t a party spot, it was families, chill couples or older people which is exactly what we wanted and can be hard to find. We loved it and will absolutely be back.

We had stayed at Sea crest Resorts in the past and decided to try Windward Shores. They are both managed by same company Dune Resorts. We were able to get an oceanfront corner unit. Unit 36. The grounds are well manicured and beach is great. Check in and check out was all via mobile app. The cleaning staff were friendly. The front desk asked us when we checked in how everything was. The only issue we had was the unit we had in terms of decorations and furniture was a bit dated. All brown. Kind of takes away from the beach feel. The mattress in master bedroom seemed to be curling up so that the feet part was slightly elevated. There were ants in the kitchen, they had an ant trap in the corner of the dining room so we could see they had a bit of an ant problem. If we were staying here more than 2 nights we would have asked for another room. 
Overall we had a nice stay. Just think it be mandatory for ant owners to keep their place updated if they are going to charge the amount of money they do. We were staying there off season, I don't think I would pay double for that.

Relaxing get a way

Had a fantastic stay here in February. Great weeknight deal making work and travel much easier. Room was ready three hours before reservation, got an easy text and a code, no contact service. Staff was incredible needed a few things for the room and they came through. Easily the greatest rate for an East End hotel on the ocean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Jaclyn for early checkin, Chris wifi maintenance, Ceneida for hospitality.

Amazing weekday rates with friendly staff!

Me, my husband and three boys have stayed at Winward Shores each summer for the last 5 years.   We go with a few others families.  The location is perfect.  The hotel is right on the beach .. just walk down a short path and you are there.  The chair and beach umbrella set up and towel service is complimentary which makes life so much easier.  The rooms we stayed in are nice and clean.  The one negative is there isn't much in walking distance so do you have to drive to town to go out to eat or shop but it is a short drive.  Lastly this past summer was during covid times and the hotel and house keeping (door delivery only for towels and stuff) did a good job of keeping things contactless.
