I was trying to not break the bank for an overnight stay in Nashville but I missed the mark with this place. Its not in a safe part of town. The light bulb in the bathroom room didn't work so the lady at the front desk handed my husband a new light bulb. Ok... problem was the original light bulb wouldn't come out of the fixture. The door was missing the extra safety lock. The room smelled old and stagnant. Since the bulb couldn't be fixed they moved us to another room that wreaked of cancer. The door was missing the extra lock as well. The air conditioner worked but at first look it died 10 years ago. They didnt even try to hide the repairs done to the room.  The floor was sticky. The fixtures are dirty. This is more of a rent by the hour room. Not recommended. Spend the money and get something better.

Never again

My boyfriend and I checked into a regular room Thursday night the room was nice we loved it. We thought we’d come back for the weekend and request a bigger room but to our knowledge the bigger the room the nastier it is. We had one of though 90’s TVs with the big backs couldn’t hook my ststem up to it. The bed was disgusting everything was dirty. We called and asked for a refund or a different room the lady said she can’t help us she’s done for the night. This is not the place for pregnant women I’m nauseous just thinking about it.

I want a refund

We had the misfortune of checking into a room here in the middle of the night. We were desperate for a room anywhere after our 8 hour long drive. We just wanted a cheap simple place to stay the night and leave first thing in the morning. We were unfamiliar with the dangerous area the place was in. With obvious hookers, pimps and drug dealers going in and out and arguing in the halls at 4am. We were greeted by a cockroach right as we walked through the door. Stains on the bed, missing light bulbs, insect feces on the dirty window sill, rotten bath tub....it goes on and on. This felt like the type of place you wake up dead at. Me and my entire family fell ill from this place and our entire vacation to Tennessee had to be cut short because of the effect this place had on our health. Shut her down. Place is disgusting and should be investigated by the department of health and human services. 

Hotel Of Horrors 

If you are picky about where you stay or are looking for a five-star luxury hotel, then this is NOT the property for you. However, if you want a cost-effective hotel that is close to downtown (10-minute drive) that is clean and in a safe area, you should check it out.

While staying in downtown Nashville and not having to drive would have been my preference, doing so at a cost of over $200 per night was not in my budget. The Regency Inn and Suites is located just outside Nashville and was only a ten-minute drive to get to 5th and Broadway where all the action was. 

As I was travelling solo, being in a safe area was important and at no point did I not feel safe. Located right off the highway with a large gas station/store across the road, lots of restaurants in same area ensured it fit the bill for my needs. Well lit and someone at the front desk at all times (or at least every time I came and went) made me feel safe at all times.

When I arrived, found out they had upgraded me to a king-sized bed room. Room was clean, VERY spacious and perfect for my needs of housing my clothes and sleeping each evening. No breakfast included, but Jack in the Box, McDonald's and the Waffle House were all within walking distance. 

If I had one complaint, it would simply be that the free WiFi was sketchy. Couldn't always get a strong connection or it would continue to connect/re-connect. In my book, if that is the extent of my negatives, that's pretty much not a big deal. 

Would I stay here again when visiting Nashville? Absolutely. But as mentioned at the outset, if you are a picky traveller or expecting luxury, this is not for you. However, that is NOT to be taken as a negative, just that not everyone is able to handle a property like this that isn't a five-star resort!!

All the staff I dealt with were VERY nice and VERY helpful and so pleasant to deal with.

I will be back on my next trip to Nashville!!

Great location to downtown

Our room was fine for the price! Looks like it was an attempted remodel.  Some men were working on rooms.  Room was clean,  beds comfortable and air conditioning worked.  No extras for sure... Had to pay for coffee... Pizza place hotel recommended was great!
