This is my second visit to the Inn. It was so much fun the first time that I had to return. This time I brought my daughter & best friend. They are both now wanting to come again for Christmas. The inn is exquisite. A beautifully restored home. It’s comfortable & inviting. Carole,  the owner makes sure that you have a wonderful time. The amities include everything you could ask for. Too many to list here. Check out the pictures on the website. The food is tasty & served on beautiful china. A golf cart is available & Carole will take you to town to shop or eat & return to pick you up. Beds are comfy & bathrooms have restored soaking bathtubs. Navasota is a hidden gem with lots of activities & Bernhardt Winery is just down the road. Check it out. You will not be disappointed. 

Second stay in 3 months

Wonderful place to celebrate our 49 th Wedding Anniversary. Carole was the best and most hospitable Inn keeper than we have ever met. Within minutes of our arrival, Carole showed us around her  134 year old home and shared some of its history. The  three beautifully decorated bedrooms were very comfortable for lounging , sleeping or watching your favorite movie.  Our “Gold Room”had a private bath while the other two had a shared bathroom. .  She then proceeded to share some of her “must see” recommendations for downtown Navasota. We made our way to the downtown area and all of the shops and the intriguing historical elements that Carole had recommended for us to visit were as interesting as she had shared . We interacted with the shop owners that we met and they were so hospitable and welcoming as if we were family.  For dinner we decided  to pickup a to go order from Rail & Rye which is one of several historical downtown restaurants that have helped bring downtown Navasota back to life. We chose this dining option as we wanted to take it back to the quiet environment of the B&B and eat amongst the beautiful home with it many inspiring works of art and beautiful furnishings throughout the home.  In the early evening we went back to the downtown area to enjoy some of the bubbling nightlife of music and people watching. We then left the downtown area after visiting the beautifully renovated 
P A Smith Hotel and the interesting speakeasy  located on the second floor of the Hotel.   For those history buffs that remember the Bonnie & Clyde  era of crime , you would  find the speakeasy very interesting.  After returning to the B & B , we enjoyed the hot bath in the old claw foot soaking tub located in our room. We went to bed looking forward to a wonderful breakfast. Well, once again Carole did not disappoint as she exceeded our expectations with delicious hot breakfast fit for a king and queen. If you like art, you will really enjoy time just viewing numerous art pieces and / or  listening to Carole as she shares some history on her beautiful home. She is also a very talented artist with her work displayed throughout the home as well. Many of the art pieces are for sale so you may just find a piece of art that you just cannot pass up. You will enjoy the quiet solitude of the “Parlor” located on the ground floor in case you want to read a book or meditate amongst the many historical elements within this home. We give Red Velvet Inn a 5 star rating for its attention to detail  in providing a hospitable environment second to none. As a matter of fact, it will soon be announced that Red Velvet Inn and Art Gallery  is being named 
“ Best of the Brazos Valley B & B’s”
Quite an honor however, Carole exceeds the Mission Statement that she has committed to as shown on the table in her foyer.

B&B  within a Beautiful Historic 134 year old home just a few miles  to downtown attractions and Texas A & M University

Absolutely loved the place and I am a frequent B & B patron. Absolutely spotless and incredibly well taken care of. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Rooms are appointed with water, cable TV and treats! Nice having a mini fridge and coffee in your room too. The front porches are perfect for relaxing and having a glass of wine. The back yard was enclosed and safe for my little dog to run around in. Denise, the owner, even left him treats and a toy in the room. 5 stars!

Fabulous Historic Boutique Hotel

My sister and I booked a room at this charming little B&B for a wine harvesting trip. Our only other two options in Navasota were a Best Western and a Comfort Inn. The Red Velvet Inn topped these options, by far, and for a much more reasonable price. Denise has thought of everything to put into this li'l place so it truly was like being at home. Everything from the cleanliness to the quality of the towels and robes to the red velvet cupcake and personalized note left for us, I can truly say our stay was warm, welcoming, and definitely enticed us to book again if we're ever in the area.

Charming little B&B on the way to wine harvest

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a beautiful B&B in downtown Navasota, TX. Close to College Station, which is why we were staying there. First time to Navasota and College Station, TX. We may be back.

One night stay review

Loved my stay in this lovely and relaxing B&B.  The bed was super comfortable and the host thought of everything to make my stay enjoyable. Great that it is pet friendly -- big yard for your pooch.  Will definitely stay here again!

Restful and fresh

The owner has taken care of everything. This starts to feel like you are staying at a friend's home as soon as you put your bags down. It's not froo-froo where you feel like you can't touch anything. It's very comfortable and homey. We had Flynn's room and the bathroom is literally just 2 footsteps to the left of the door. So don't let the term "detatched bathroom" deter you. It's private - as it uses the Flynn room key. It's very roomy and it has a new clawfoot tub. The guest room was also very large - I didn't bring a pup but if you did, there is plenty of place for a dog bed or crate. In room fridge and coffee maker, as well was earplugs for the famous rail lines that made Navasota a town! Also, this is the first place I've stayed where I enjoyed reading the Room Binder! The owner is so forthcoming and funny. Downstairs there are fun board games, reading material, lots of tables and chairs to relax in and the kitchen is just like at home. The front and back porches are relaxing as well!. Come stay at a friend's house (Red Velvet Inn)!

Great Stay in Historic Navasota

Regardless of how I attempt to put our experience into words, it is going to fall short.  This place is truly wonderful, from the moment you pull up and see the place you know you are in for something special.  We opened the door and the place smelled so good.  The entire house is immaculate.  We stayed in the KYA suite (we were upgraded due to a cancellation...WOW and what an upgrade it was!!) .  The bedding is exceptional.  Super comfortable and was a wonderful night sleep.  The towels and linens are high end.  I have stayed in many many high end hotels and they don't hold a torch to the accommodations at The Red Velvet Inn.  I hope our travels will give us the opportunity to stay at this spectacular place in the future.
