This place is no longer in business. It is a girl scout camp. I was on a motorcycle trip and sitting on a corner looking lost. A lady pulled up on a ATV and offered help. Short story she took me in for the night. The place is no longer a B&B. She was very a awesome person

Beautiful

Our hosts, Wes and Jesseca were not only gracious hosts, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity of their acquaintance. The rooms are so beautiful, the courtyard was so serene, and the grounds are inviting as well as comfortable. Best place ever to have a romantic getaway, family reunion, wedding or any special occasion.  Ready to visit again and take our friends and family with us. 

 Amazing Place to Stay

The night we stayed here we were the only guests.  We had the Duke room with pictures of John Wayne everywhere.  It was a truly unique experience.  The room was incredibly luxurious and the bathroom huge with a copper free standing bath and separate shower area.  We had use of the kitchen for coffee etc and were given a guided tour of the 'ranch' and told the interesting story behind the creation of such an indulgence.  The breakfast was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Experience

If you are a fan of all things western, and have seen every John Wayne movie ever made, like my husband, you will love to stay here. We stayed in the Duke Room, where everything is John Wayne. What a treat. The rooms are huge, spacious and so very well decorated.  Nothing is out of place here. There are no TV's in your room but you won't miss it.  The bunkhouse has a big screen TV but forget that, and play pool or darts or board games.  We played horseshoes outside.  Sat on the huge front porch on the rocking chairs and enjoyed the sunset over the mountains and the sun rise the next morning. The food here is delicious. we had a fantastic dinner of cornish hen and all the fixings and breakfast is wonderful too.  We rented their ATV for 2 hours and drove around in the nearby mountains for fantastic views of the valley.  The hosts, Wes and Jessica, are very attentive, very friendly and will accommodate your every need. We will definitely be returning.

If you love all things Western, you'll love this place........

Couldn't have had a nicer stay. Quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious as well. Bunkhouse pool table and amenities were fantastic. Exactly what we hoped it would be. Mrs. Frias would be proud of what she created. 

Heavenly Stay

This property is not cheap, but the value provided is excellent. Our room ("Longhorn") and its bathroom were incredibly luxurious. Wes and his wife Jessica take amazing care of the property (which is immaculately clean and luxurious in every detail), and provide kind and gracious hospitality as your hosts.

We were the only guests the night we stayed, but Jess made a delicious dinner with cornish game hen. They offer a well stocked bar on an honor system at unbeatable prices. If you're a wine aficionado, bring your own and they are happy to provide glasses for your use. Be sure to enjoy the "bunk house" entertainment room - we played pool and checkers for the first time in ages. The library in the main room of the inn is phenomenal and I could easily spend weeks in the comfy chairs, reading the wide selection of books on the shelves.

It is incredibly relaxing to sit on the front porch, watching the sun set over the mountain range in front of you while listening to the cows below from ranch lands below and the sound of the wind gently rustling the leaves of the aspens nearby.  We arrived late one afternoon a couple of hours before dinner, left the next morning after breakfast, but felt as rejuvenated as we have when going away for multiple days at other properties!  

If you are a pilot or have access to a plane, the local airport is just 10 minutes away with an excellent 4300 x 60 foot paved, lighted runway and 6 tiedowns with anchors for small aircraft (bring your own tiedown straps). With advance notice the couple who manages A Cowboy's Dream will gladly take you to/from the airport. The airport managers live 10 minutes away and always have a radio on tuned to the airport frequency and they can even turn on the runway lights for you at night before you are in range so you can spot the airport more easily. It's just another example of the kind hospitality shown to visitors by those who call Alamo home.

We didn't have time to explore local hikes and petroglyphs or the Upper and Lower Pahranegat wildlife refuges this trip, but now we have other adventures to look forward to!
