Hotel is situated in a lovely area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was fairly spacious, although the bathroom was a weird shape - the toilet bowl didn't allow the door to open fully and you had to squeeze through a small gap to actually get into the room. We had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. No breakfast, but there are a couple of nice places in town, one of which is only two doors down from the hotel. Would certainly come back here if we pass through the area again.

Only a couple of small minus points. Firstly it would've been nice to have a fridge in the room. Secondly, it was a little frustrating to go out for the day and return in the evening to find the parking lot entirely occupied by tavern customers, so perhaps some parking spaces reserved for hotel guests would be a good idea.

Friendly hotel in a lovely area

Horrible experience.   We were in the bar having dinner.   The waiter brought all the meals except mine.  He said he forgot to put my order in.   He said it would be out in 10 minutes.   After waiting another 20 minutes, I asked him how long it was going to be.  He said “it takes what it takes”.  In a very irritable tone.   I then complained to the manager Hannah and finally got my food.     But then the waiter stopped waiting on us.   We complained to Hannah the manager again and she had a complete meltdown.   Needless to say, we didn’t get any more service. No more drinks, no dessert.  They just stopped waiting on us.   The next morning I went downstairs to get ice, and no ice.   The staff had lost the key to the bar where the ice machine is.  The re were other issues as well.  The manager Hannah was so aweful.    Horrible experience.

This is a perfect place to stop while touring New England scenic back roads. I made the resveration through trip advisor, it said historic tavern,it was great. In all my travels never stayed in such charming building. With a great staff, reasonable rates I will plan to return, I to had room 312, a charming stay

New England Charm

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Especially the spicy mussels were a treat. Huge portions and very friendly waitstaff. Good selection of beers. On Tuesdays with live music. Very big establishments, but due to the many different rooms didn’t feel to crowded. Really recommended.

Very good

This will be my third time coming here. I always get room 312, so cozy and I love the little fireplace. The restaurant is delicious and the staff is very friendly. All three trips have been in the spring, but I’d like to go sometime in the fall. North Conway is very close and the perfect place to shop around.

Love this place!

I was passing through and needed a last minute place to stay near Jackson. The staff at Wildcat were able to put me in one of the “Tavern Rooms” and I absolutely loved it! The staff was wonderful- helpful and friendly. My room upstairs was perfect- clean and comfortable with the old New Hampshire atmosphere that I missed from my childhood. The common room upstairs was amazing. There was a live band playing downstairs and a full bar but the sound upstairs was faint and muffled-just added to the charm. I can’t wait to go back when I have more time to spend. I will definitely be booking a Tavern room! Thank you staff of Wildcat Inn and Tavern!

Can’t wait to go back!

We arrived for a late lunch after a beautiful day of cross country skiing in Jackson. We did not have a reservation, but the staff accommodated our family. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered crab cakes, a burger and some flat breads. Delicious. We noticed every single table around us ordering wings. They looked delicious. Will definitely try them next time!

Great atmosphere

My husband and I had dinner at the Wildcat on our 1st night in Jackson. Reservations are a must especially in the fall. The tables are spaced appropriately apart. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating.
    The food is very good. We started with the Goat Cheese Pillows which were amazing. My husband had the Chicken Pot Pie and I had the Sole Fish dinner. 
    For drinks my husband had a Guinness and I had a glass of Sangria. For dessert we shared a piece of the Fruits of the Forest pie. 
     Our server was Michelle. She was very busy but she made sure we had everything we needed.

Excellent Dinner

Very tasty dinner served in one of the nicest rooms we’ve ever had dinner in. Service was prompt friendly and efficient.  Nice Fall decorations and loved the pumpkin people. Fun place to eat and visit  looks like it would be very cozy in the winter.

A weekend trip to the Wildcat inn in Jackson, NH turned from a couple to Solo trip due to an airline issue. But the trip was still worth it. The Inn itself is old but very cozy. The staff is awesome. All have great personalities and are there to ensure a pleasant experience. The food is very good although a little resort pricey. Beverages are moderately priced. The entertainment is local mountain comfort music. You can walk to other establishments. Enjoyed my visit so much that WE are going back over memorial weekend. And to make a point of how great the place is; we are flying there from Tampa Florida! Enough said?
