Very Clean and comfortable place to stay on the beach of Ocean City NJ!  Leigh Ann was great at the desk always friendly and helpful giving us great places to go for breakfast and dinner.  On our three week road trip from Florida, this was the best place we have stayed at.  Great views of the ocean from your room and the large deck with chairs to enjoy the views.

Great stay on the beach!

We had never been to Ocean City before and chose  the Ocean Front based on reviews and their reasonable rates. We were NOT disappointed! It's right on the boardwalk and just a few feet from the beach. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The office manager was very friendly and accomodating. They have a great sun deck that overlooks the ocean and we watched the sunrise from there. The motel is older but is updated and well maintained.  The whole experience just made me happy to be here. We would certainly come back again, if the rates remain reasonable. The affordability was an important factor to us.

A wonderful experience!

We stayed at the Ocean View Motel between Aug 25th thru the 28th. My wife picked this place due to it’s location, which is on the beach, and at the end of the Boardwalk for Ocean City. I will not hold this against her. It actually turned out to be an interesting experience.
Upon pulling up our car to the entrance, I was suddenly struck by a “deja vu” experience, like we were visiting a 1950’s era Rte. 66 Motel. I wasn’t far off. First off, as many have reported elsewhere, the parking spaces are extremely tight...like they were laid-out for Model-T’s or some other vehicle from a past generation. We went into the office, which was empty, and the clerk appeared from behind a back door. I was expecting Norman Bates, but it was a very nice friendly woman. She validated our credit card and driver license info...and we were handed ...keys. Yes,,,they use keys, not cards. It’s more 1950’s Motoring across the country….I love it!

OK, so let’s talk about the room. This is as spartan as you can get. We were in room 208 on the 2nd floor. (Oh..forget about ADA compliance...all stairs...no elevator). The room had two double beds, a table with two wooden chairs and a bathroom. I will say this...the room was clean as a whistle. No bugs, no hair...all the usual complaints that you usually hear.
 
TV & Internet is spotty at best...the TV kept crapping out regularly, as well as the Wi-Fi. Don’t depend on this if you’re going to be doing work while on Vacation. If so, what’s wrong with you? Theoretically, you should be spending time out of the room, seeing & doing stuff. BTW, we found a great Italian restaurant on 34th st., Randazzos, which we ate at several times...take out & delivery.

As someone who has stayed in up to 5 star hotels in the past past, you would think I would be horrified by this experience...strangely, I wasn’t. The place was clean...the people were nice, the location was great. I’m imagining my parents motoring across the USA back in the day, and staying at places like this. One final point...there is no free Continental breakfast in the morning at the office...contrary to their website picture below. Coffee only. Be prepared to go to the local WaWa on 34th st. to get some breakfast stuff. Price was $250 a night...during high season..for a total of $789.19 with all taxes for 3 nights...booked through Orbitz. The price per night drops down to $98.00 in late September. Interestingly, I don’t feel ripped off by this experience.

Interesting Experience

I stayed in Room 205 for two nights/3 days in July of 2021.  Solo traveler.   Very cute place. No frills and rooms are dated but spacious and come with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large closet.  It was so relaxing to be able to sit outside my room, feel the ocean breeze, see the water and just relax. There are also plenty of common areas to sit and stare out at the ocean. You are literally steps from the beach and you could not ask for a better location.  So close to everything. LeeAnn, the manager, was so helpful, answered all my questions and gave great recommendations. There was always a fresh pot of coffee in the mornings too and they were so accommodating in storing my luggage before checkin and after checkout. I came by bus and this was such a great help. Ever member of the staff I encountered was kind and helpful. Will definitely stay again.  Thanks.

Cute & Convenient

The room was nice, the sheets were soft, and the mattress was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. I took away a star for the narrow parking spots but I am grateful that there was a spot available. Also, the lady in the office came out to help. Thanks again  for the assistance. Only a few steps to and from the boardwalk and beach! I will stay at the Ocean Front Motel again!

Very Nice!

My husband and I tried to stay here 9/2020. The parking spaces were extremely narrow, and when our Ford fusion couldn't fit in several of the spaces, the manager berated us and told us to leave. He threatened to call the police while yelling at us without a mask on. We called the police, because the manager was behaving erratically. We received a refund and took our business elsewhere. The whole place was shabby and smelled like cigarettes.

Manager is rude and won't wear a mask. Save yourself trouble and go somewhere else.

This was our first time at OCNJ and we picked it based on reviews.   The staff was nothing short of amazing - Leanne, John & the others who helped couldn’t have been more friendly - we had sooo many questions with covid & hurricanes & they couldn’t have been more patient with us!  We loved  the extra little room for my son who likes to wake up very early & he could shut the door & play without waking everyone up.  We loved the location because when you walk out the door you’re on beach and boardwalk - how perfect.  The lifeguards were also amazing here - we loved this little family get away before school started - everything was open like the amusement parks, mini golf, escape rooms and more ! This place is a “find” in Ocean City! 
 Very Good for a family.
Perfect location and clean. Very reasonable (under $100 a night).  We especially liked the Ocean-facing deck with its lounge chairs and tables and chairs on which to enjoy your own picnic. Unfortunately, no included breakfast because of Covid restrictions. So we ordered takeout and enjoyed our meals on the deck. 
John, the manager, was a delight with whom to engage and very helpful and accommodating. Thank you, John!
By the way, most of the activities in Ocean city were up and running. We enjoyed go cart racing, miniature golf, and peddling our surry. 
Excellent getaway!

A great deal!

John the owner makes guests feel right at home with his generosity and kindness. I was lucky to land a room in 103 with a beautiful view of the crashing waves. The room was clean and well put together. Would highly recommend to those planning to stay in the heart of the boardwalk and beach.
