Decent place, large open space.  We had a little difficulty finding it after dark but it was nice, clean and had everything we needed.  Hotplate, toaster, dishes, sizeable bathroom.  Great location.  On-street parking.  We had a couple of questions and the owner responded immediately to our texts.  

Good option in Carlsbad

A really outstanding experience. No reason to stay in one of the chain motels when you could be staying here. Only stayed for one night passing through but still a great choice. Wonderful decor. Lots of small things thought of - chocolates by bed, earplugs (didn't need), fresh cookies on arrival, great bathroom and overall tons of characters. Helpful staff (via text). Breakfast is included and is a cafe 2 doors down which was also great. Also just over the road is a supermarket (Albertsons) with a Starbucks so helpful for road snacks and coffees on a trip. Internet strong. Set back from the main road going through Carlsbad so quiet. Really can't recommend enough.

Outstanding.

The “Whiskey Before Breakfast” room was fantastic - very spacious yet cozy, comfortably cool and a nice bed. Convenient location and parking. Check-in was super easy and breakfast at the Blue House was delicious (go early before they sell out of their cinnamon rolls!).

The Fiddler’s Inn - Wonderful B&B in Carlsbad

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in the Orange Blossom rooms at the Fiddler's Inn. The beds, pillows and linens were comfy. Our rooms were made up each day when we returned from our outing. $18 breakfast certificates were provided two doors down from the Fiddler's Inn at the Blue House. This place was also fantastic. I could have used their scones for pillows. They were so soft and delicious. The three berry smoothie was also refreshing on a hot summer day. On Sunday morning a breakfast tray was provided because the Blue House is closed. 10% off certificates for local restaurants were also available. We used them twice. An out door hot tub is also on the property. TV, microwave, refrigerator, and beautifully decorated rooms with easy come and go access. No hassles, friendly and courteous service. This beautiful place was slightly more reasonable than our Hampton Inn in El Paso was. But maybe I shouldn't include that statement in this review, they may just raise their rates. Their is an Albertson's grocery store within walking distance kitty corner across the street. The only downside were the loud mufflered cars at night taking off from the busy intersection by Albertsons. But, of course, that's not Fiddler's Inn's fault. I actually slept so well I never heard them, but my other family member did. Before I went to sleep I played the YouTube video of James Last's Orange Blossom Special on my phone. There are several video versions. The perfect night cap. Please try having sweet musical dreams at the Fiddler's Inn. THANKS!  

Sweet Musical Dreams

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fiddler’s Inn. Our room was perfect. We were there Saturday and Sunday night so breakfast was in our room on Sunday morning. The variety provided was very good. My husband loved having cookies for his evening snack. 
The Inn is in a beautiful setting on a quiet street. It was so pleasant to be able to sit outside and enjoy the garden space. The large pecan tree provided ample shade for the patio. We would stay here again. 

Beautiful Carlsbad Inn

A colleague and I were in Carlsbad for business and were very pleased with our rooms. My room was lovely with everything I needed for our one night stay. We had a coupon for breakfast at the Blue House Bakery & Cafe, which covered the cost of my breakfast and coffee. It is close to downtown and in a walkable area. I will stay here again.

Charming B&B in Carlsbad, NM

Unique, homey and yummy.  The rooms were cozy with great lighting and fun decor.  The breakfast was outstanding, provided by the Blue House with the allotment from Fiddler's Inn being generous, allowing us to pick from the full menu. 

A unique find!

Four of us traveled through Texas and New Mexico visiting the beautiful National Parks. Of all the places we stayed, Fiddler's Inn was our favorite. The weather turned very cold and after a long drive we were tired and needing a rest.  Walking into our warm, cozy and beautifully furnished room was such a treat. There were so many extra touches - - mints, cookies, lots of towels, earplugs, Q-tips, bottles of water, $18/person coupons for breakfast at the local bakery, hot tub to warm our bones - simply marvelous.

Absolute great place to stay!! Super nice and very well maintained. Owner is fantastic.  Very helpful with logistics when I needed to extend my stay with little notice. In town close to everything but feels like your in the country! Will definitely be back!!

Great place to stay in Carlsbad.

We fortuitously stumbled on Fiddler’s Inn on our cross-country summer road trip!  Our preference is always to get a taste of the local flavor.  This inn gave us that and more.  Who wouldn’t be intrigued to stay in  a room named Whiskey Before Breakfast?!  This sprawling room let us unfold and unwind from a long day in the road.  We enjoyed an evening on the front porch, and could walk to any number of downtown restaurants.  Breakfast is included at a sweet restaurant two door down.  The innkeepers texted us room instructions, making our stay seamless.  On top of everything, we received a discount for making reservations on the phone!  Thank you Fiddler’s Inn!  You’re a classy place.
