We loved our stay here! Everything was perfect. The Inn oozes charm and character, and our room was large, clean, well-appointed and had a great balcony with a view of Magazine Street. It is easily accessible to all the sites, shops and restaurants in the Garden District, and the bus stops right in front for easy access to the rest of the city. Raynell, the host, was very friendly, helpful and accommodating, and we appreciated the light breakfast and snacks that were provided. We ate and slept well, heard lots of great music, and hope to return soon!

A Wonderful Place to Stay!

In NOLA for the WWII museum and more with family - connecting rooms made morning coffee together a breeze; Convenient location, a short walk to the St Charles Street car, and comfy, nice sized rooms.  GREAT hosts and morning breakfast treats.

Welcoming and Convenient!

We stayed at  B and B recently and we loved it . I can’t remember the name of the room we had but it was up the  stairs at the top of the house . 2 ways into the house was a novelty and we found that bit quirky. Raynelle was a brilliant host and was really knowledgeable about New Orleans, very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was simple but just what we needed and some baked surprises would appear throughout the day too.The bed was very comfortable and the house was clean and warm. We would definitely stay there again if we happen to be in the neighbourhood .

Warm Authentic NOLA Bed and Breakfast

If you want the full New Orleans experience, stay in a beautiful older  home in the  Garden District. Our host was born and bred in New Orleans and helped us find restaurants and transportation routes. For a first time NOLA visitor, that was invaluable!  Perfect location - the B&B is on a quiet area of Magazine Street; there are lots of shops and great places to eat all along the street. We walked the area, had drinks on the front porch while we people watched and took the St. Charles Avenue streetcar to the French Quarter. Would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful!

I was so grateful that I had a former New Orleans resident advise me to stay in the Garden District. Best.Decision. Ever! 

After visiting different locations each day it was an absolute blissful sanctuary to return to in the evenings and wake up in each day. The location is peaceful and picturesque and locals are friendly. Magazine Street was a delight to walk down each day and there were some great eateries. We even saw a wedding procession with full band! 

As for the accommodation well there were just so many positives. Raynell has to top that list. She was  gracious and welcoming but felt like your instant best friend at the same time. We stayed in the courtyard room and our mornings with kids were easy and relaxed having a light breakfast, enjoying the garden and spotting little skinks outside (kids loved it).

Breakfast was provided and GF option for me too. Everything was fresh and sourced from a quality bakery. Raynell went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. She is the epitome of Southern Hospitality.

The building was beautiful and has so much architectural interest. Our family room on ground floor was perfect with separate sleeping area for kids - and separate beds (one single, one rollaway) - this is so important when travelling and they are sick of sharing! I loved the quirkiness of the space and the history of how the house was built in stages which explains the unique layout. I have to say that the value of staying here was unbelievable. Seriously $700 for 7 nights. That was the best value we had anywhere but not just value for the sake of low cost. Genuine quality and wonderful experience at a bargain price!

The only downside I could mention is the location of AC unit. Facing the bed. I dont like feeling breeze on me but Im also a heavy sleeper so it didnt bother me once asleep. However Im just mentioning this for full and honest experience. This did not detract from our experience or negate/outweigh in any way the numerous positives from our stay. I would - and will return in a heartbeat. 

Oh and Im still having withdrawals for Flying Burrito in Magazine Street.

One week in New Orleans with young kids

We had such an awesome experience staying here that we will only stay here when we are in town again.  Booking was simple and easy.  The rates are incredibly fair for the value they provide.  The architecture of the house is unique.  The accommodations are thoughtful and elegant.  The owners are on property, engaging, and super friendly.  I could go on and on and on about how great this B&B is.

Stay here the next time you are in NOLA!

I live down the street from this B&B and was planning a backyard wedding for Dec 31st. My family doesn't have much money so this is a big and expensive trip for them and my brother and sister both booked a week here for the wedding. Well 2 months before the wedding, my gal got diagnosed with breast cancer and we had to start chemo and cancel the wedding. The B&B policy which they clearly stated is a 5% cancellation charge and they pay you when and IF they re-book. I thought I would have a big fight on my hands.The opposite couldn't be more true. They didn't hold onto funds until they re-booked and they refunded the 5%. For a family like mine, that was HUGE and made a bad situation bearable. I can't wait to book them in the spring for the 2nd date! Thank you thank you.

Amazing customer service...real people

A quaint house that has a period decor inside.  Mostly modest antique furniture that fit the old times atmosphere.   The back room suite was clean, private and very quiet.   The owner was friendly and accommodating.

Great place for a nostalgic experience.

My dad and I traveled to New Orleans for a few days and I wanted something in the Garden district away from Bourbon street with two rooms and some space. This is a good location as it is close to shops and restaurants and a quick Uber to the French Quarter.
We had a suite and it had a nice porch and private garden. The one bed was small and in the kitchen and the bathroom was really cramped and old . I think the other rooms have nicer bathrooms.
The lady who runs it was nice and the breakfast was self service from your own fridge .  It was comfortable and good value .

A great location in the Garden district 

From making reservations to departure, Raynelle and her husband could not have made this visit any better!!
Great communication prior to arrival made us eager to meet our hostess, and stay in the B&B.
We were delighted with both!
Okay. It IS a bit funky. But if that is not your thing, PLEASE take your hidebound carcass to a chain in the French Quarter and awake to the invigorating smell of a garbage/vomit mix which in 90 degree heat will keep you cheery all day long.
Back to funky. The house is old. Maintained, but old. Get over it. And yourself. The sheer joy of sitting on your second story porch as people ride by in cars, on bikes, and skateboards is unmatched by ANYTHING 5stars could provide.
Minus the aroma. People LIVE here. (The Garden District). They LOVE living here. Enjoy the vibe. And avoid the swarms of cruise ship eruptions of BORING tourists. And crap art on your hotel walls. Big bonus - no panhandlers in sight.
Loved our room, LOVED our porch access through our sitting room window, and loved our experience. 
Walking distance to FABULOUS restaurants (Coquette, Commanders Palace, District) two of which were Raynelle’s suggestions and spot on.
Bus stops at the corner for easy access to central city. Cheap taxi fare to same. 
Fun walking distance in Layfayette Cemetery #1, the glorious mansions of the Garden District, and the Garden District Book Shop, one of THE BEST independent bookstores in the WORLD. NOT exaggerating.
Lots of owner operated stores for excellent shopping. One of our favorites is just up the street, PEONY. FABULOUS children’s clothing.
Enough raving. 
Yes, the bath is small. Yes, there are stairs. If either of these is preeminent in your lodging-choose another place.
However, if you travel to experience reality combined with super friendly, knowledgeable, caring innkeepers, you could not make a wiser selection.
