We had a wonderful stay at Glenmere (our second visit). The food, property, spa and service were all top notch! We really enjoyed their game room, yoga class and massages. Pamela and Ariana were particularly exceptional and helped make our stay exceptional. We had delicious meals and cocktails at both Frog’s Tavern and the Supper room. Looking forward to returning.

Awesome Stay

Had a wonderful girls overnight stay at Glenmere! If you were not in New York, you would think you were somewhere in Europe! The accomodations are absolutely beautiful, the food in the dining room and at the pub were two of the best meals I had in a very very long time! Kudos to the Chef - very accomodating to gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diners. Had a lovely spa experience also.

Excellent Overnight Stay

Had a lovely stay at Glenmere Mansion. Definitely exceeded our expectations. I know sometimes places like this can give a creepy vibe but that was 100% not the case here. Room was nice, clean. Heated floors in the bathroom and steam shower were nice touches. Staff very nice and helpful. Food was great! Property is very beautiful. We had a Turkish bath ritual at the spa that was amazing. Would go back just for that, it was that good! If I had to nitpick, I would say better quality towels in the rooms. Looking forward to visiting again in the Summer when the pool is open.

Definitely an underrated, hidden gem

This is a wonderful place, excellent service , beautiful views and nice rooms .
Very nice spa and outdoor pool .
Than there is the food, the restaurant is quite nice and the food is mostly very good even though there are not that many choices.
The one part that didn’t appealed to us was the breakfast … it’s the traditional American breakfast, potatoes, eggs , ham , bacon etc. No veggies, no fruits (serious ones) ,no yogurt…

Almost perfect

Beautiful, exquisitely renovated mansion with luxurious rooms. The food was exceptional. Very attentive service. Over the top spa experiences. Went there for our 20th wedding anniversary weekend and had a great time!

Exceptional mansion and spa!

My wife and I just finished celebrating our anniversary with an exceptional stay at Glenmere Mansion. We last experienced Glenmere 8 years ago on another anniversary trip . Little has changed and that is wonderful! Glenmere is well staffed with extremely well trained, attentive, courteous, and delightful employees. From the moment you arrive and are greeted at the front door, to the moment you check out you are treated with respect and a desire to please. The food was nothing short of delectable in every case. With only 18 rooms the facility never felt crowded. In fact we often felt as if we were the only people here. We stayed in the Astor Suite which had two spacious bathrooms with radiant heat flooring, and floor to ceiling Carrera Marble. Owners Allan Sternberg and Daniel DeSimone took a huge risk and invested a fortune to undertake a massive four year renovation of Glenmere Mansion. It is clear they put their heart and soul into this place. The results are stunning. Their attention to detail turns a stay here into an effortless adventure in relaxation. We have stayed in Relaix and Chateau properties before and can say that this one is truly a standout. The one fly in the ointment that I feel needs to be mentioned is that the Internet service is spotty at best. In fact we found our room to be in a "dead" zone, which we found to be quite frustrating. Nonetheless I highly recommend this property for your next special occasion or romantic getaway. 

A Spectacular Property

We celebrated our friend’s 50th birthday on a beautiful sunny day in July.  The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the staff was polite and accommodating and the food was delicious and just the right portions.  A special shout out to our main server Lisa who was so pleasant but also gave the entire tea room a special treat by singing happy birthday.  Every party in the room was celebrating a birthday!  Thank you for a wonderful and memorable Sunday brunch.  

A birthday to remember 

We stayed here and the landscape is super pretty and the service was tops. I would highly recommend for a mini-moon. The only downside was there was a wedding coming in with girls from Jersey who were trying to pretend to be high class like they were getting married at a mansion in Tuscany. Cheezy 

Super beautiful

We did not stay at the Inn, but booked a dinner reservation about three weeks out based on all of the fine reviews.   The grounds are beautiful and the service is excellent.  They have very good staff.  I give them that.  And the mansion's interior is lovely.   But we expected much more in terms of cuisine.  For one thing, we were seated in the bar area.  We reserved outdoors, but they considered outdoors in the courtyard, and it was too warm, so we switched to indoors with AC.  The "formal" dining room was somehow booked.   We were told we weren't seated there because you have to ask when reserving.  We had no idea.  So if you want the formal dining area, be sure to ask when you reserve.  The total price for dinner was also too high.  $200 a head without even a bottle of wine.  The food was tasty, but portions were small and not nearly worth the money.    The couple next to us in the bar area ordered a burger and split it between them.  They had the right idea!   


Overpriced

I was greatly looking forward to my stay at Glenmere because friends and family always raved about it. I’m so happy to say it lived up to my expectations. From the start when we entered the premises Joseph and Scott were welcoming and accommodating. They continued throughout my 2 day stay. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The bed is so comfortable and the bathtub was very relaxing. We enjoyed having cocktails served by Sandy and our servers during our meals, Lisa, Mike, Joanna, Ashley and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the game room and the beautiful books in the library. The grounds are beautiful to walk around even in the cold weather. The views are spectacular especially during the sunsets. Next time we will come in the spring-summer and do some spa treatments. I highly recommend Glenmere for a First Class experience.
