This villa was modern, clean and beautiful. But you must have a car - don't expect to be able to walk to local shops, bars & restaurants. Also the pool was extremely cold and unusable - I don't like the extra charge to heat it....

Gorgeous Villa

My husband and I spent one night in Morgan Samuels Inn and it was absolutely unforgettable experience. We were warmly welcomed by John and his charming dog (yes, this is pet friendly place) and accommodated in lovely room on the ground floor with picturesque view on the garden and patio. What we can totally recommend is to give a call after making the reservation and book a dinner. Such a perfect 4-course meal and friendly, romantic atmosphere. Everything was delicious and we felt like special guests. Next day morning was even more perfect and before we chose our meals, we got very interesting history lesson plus great conversation with John. In conclusion, we were pleased to be there and enjoyed every minute. The place is unique, meals exquisite and the host one of a kind. Thank you John!

Perfect weekend getaway for couples

We keep going back because we have not found another B&B that rivals.  Excellent food. Hospitality is 4 star and the rooms are all beautiful.  The breakfast is delicious and the inn is cozy and located close to the lake.

Our favorite getaway

We stayed one night here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The breakfast was exquisite. The room was fine but the shower did have steps which caused a little issue for my wife who recently had knee surgery. The grounds were spectacular and would like to have spent more time there.The innkeeper was very good and helpful.

Great place to stay in the Finger Lakes

We stayed at the Morgan Samuels Inn to celebrate our anniversary and had a delightful experience.  The Inn is gorgeous, the property and gardens are beautiful, the innkeepers are very friendly and attentive in the right amount.  We had first class service at breakfast and at a celebratory dinner and the food was outstanding.  A 5-star experience, and only 1 1/2 hours from home!

Peaceful, relaxing weekend

My sister and I chose the Morgan Samuels Inn because we were looking for a unique, luxury inn experience in the Canandaigua, New York area. Many of the reviews we read spoke to the outstandingly lovely environment of its gardens and walking paths. So we were eager to arrive, settle in, and begin our Inn experience. The gardens, patios and vistas did not disappoint. Stunningly gorgeous! The breakfasts are delicious and served in several courses by your reserved time, so do not plan on rushing this meal.  The owners are lovely and welcoming and we recommend you take time to engage them in conversation as they are very interesting and truly committed to their Inn.Due to some chance circumstances, we had the opportunity to stay in three of the guest rooms during our stay. Unfortunately we were disappointed in all of them. The proprietors keep the windows of upper floor rooms painted shut; if you don't have a balcony there may be no way out in case of fire or other emergency. We also noted one of the upper floor balconies in immediate need of reinforcement for safety's sake. The rooms we were in are in need of updating and upgrading: we found several of the mattresses did not give support and the pillows were almost formless in one of the rooms. We would have appreciated better lighting and, in one of rooms, less dust. It was quite warm and humid while we were at the Inn but the air conditioning was insufficient to produce a good night's sleep if the rooms did not have its own ac unit. Arriving at night is quite a challenge with neither the Inn's sign nor entrance having a single light. All in all, the Morgan Samuels Inn, though truly an outstanding property, lacks the comfort in the rooms you would expect it to have for the reputation and for the price.
