Just spent the past weekend at Wolff's Maple Breeze Resort. Never heard of the place. Was attending a friend's family reunion. Ellen and Mike and their daughter Lauren are top notch. Very welcoming and made us all feel right at home. The food was excellent. Dinner and lunch are included and there is a snack bar where we were able to grab a snack during the day. The pool was big and clean. The rooms were clean too. Each room comes with a mini fridge which was a nice surprise. Will definitely be back again. Has an old school vibe to it. There aren't many places like this left. Great place for groups and family reunions. Thanks again to Mike, Ellen, and Lauren for a great weekend.

Family fun getaway weekend

Cannot say enough good about Wolff's.  Family owned for generations, Ellen is the current proprietor along with her husband and daughter (Lauren).  We had our first family reunion there two weeks ago and it was fantastic.  You are truly treated like family from the moment you arrive.  The grounds are beautiful and there are lots of activities (ping pong, swimming, stocked lake, bocce, basketball, game room, mini golf, etc. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price (which is very reasonable) and the food is definitely above par. Every request was met - whether it was a to-go meal (thanks, Pat!!) or shuttling my elderly aunt around in their golf cart.  We all loved our stay.  If you're looking for a true escape from city chaos, this is a fantastic place to go.  Wifi is very sketchy so you are guaranteed to "check out" while you are there.  Note that the décor of the rooms is 1980's throwback, but I feel that this adds to the whole experience.  Clean, a/c and comfortable.  There's a reason people return every year for generations. I know we will be back for sure!!

Wonderful Retreat

We are just back from a fun filled week at WOLFF’S! This year besides enjoying our annual summer vacation together with family and friends, we planned a special birthday celebration that week  with 37 family members. It was awesome and wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the owners, Ellen and Mike and their daughter Lauren. They went over and above to make it a huge success. There is nightly entertainment, delicious meals each day and countless things to do around the property and a big beautiful pool. So if you are planning a reunion, family get together or just a family/friends vacation, look no further than WOLFF’S Maple Breeze Resort.

Vacation FUN in the Catskills!

Just spent a wonderful week here with friends. The staff are wonderful: Ellen, Lauren, Pat, Pam and others. Rooms are clean and include a fridge and tv. There's a lot to do if you bring kids. There's a large pool, table tennis, miniature golf, kids playground, Bocci court, volleyball and others. There's also three lakes. I believe you can fish and go boating on one of them. The dining room is large and the food is delicious. There' s usually of choice of two different dishes for dinner (you are asked at breakfast what you would like). Meals (only breakfast and dinner and are included in the cost) are served family style. There is a snack bar in the recreation building and the prices are great!!! Something is always going on at night, a DJ, horse racing (resort style), karaoke, bon fires with marshmallows or weiners. Always something. Many other attractions are close by as well. Thomas Cole's house, Olana, Kingston, Dutchman's Ferry (riverside park in Catskill) and a zoo that I think is called Balliwick. You are also near a ton of waterfalls and other natural sites. The Catskills are gorgeous and there are a few driving routes that are most interesting. You're close to Woodstock, Kaaterskill Falls, Haines Falls, North South Lake and much more.

Great Catskill Resort

We spent 3 nights at Wolffs Maple Breeze for our family reunion.  We had close to 100 people in our group and every single person in our group had a great time. Activities there are countless, and you won’t have time to do all of them. Breakfast and dinner are included with the price and all the meals were delicious. The workers in the dining room work very hard to satisfy the needs of everyone eating and are very polite. Nighttime activities were very well coordinated by the resort staff. The rooms are okay for a setting like this. The owners are always on-site and are always willing and able to take care of any issues that may come up during your stay.

Family Reunion

We stayed at one of the Lakeside rooms during Murder Mystery weekend and had a wonderful time. The food was tasty and filling with several choices available at every meal, the grounds were beautiful and very well kept, and the price was quite reasonable considering the various activities/amenities that were available. We also appreciated happy hour with a variety of free appetizers and two dollar drinks, and the murder mystery performance was entertaining and contributed to our enjoyment of the weekend.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable but could use some minor repairs (crack in ceiling of bathroom, front door swollen and difficult to open, etc.). At the price point this resort is offered, we had no qualms about these minor imperfections, but to present a completely accurate view of our visit we felt it important to mention. 
Our experience with customer service was very positive as we felt welcomed at check in, and were served by a lovely waitress who quickly learned our likes and dislikes. It quickly become apparent to us that many satisfied, repeat customers frequent Wolff's; some for years and years and several generations. Overall, we highly recommend this resort and are looking forward to vacationing there again.

A wonderful holiday weekend!

My family and I have been coming to Wolff’s for the last 10 years.  When friends ask me about Wolff’s I say it reminds me of Dirty Dancing…just in the present.  Our group has been as large as 20 or as small as 11.  Wolff’s has a feeling of stepping back and slowing down.  Each full day starts with breakfast (breakfast and supper are included in your package).  It’s typical fare (cereal, eggs, bread, meat, and pancakes or French toast).  At Wolff’s, you can always order as much as you’d like.  At the end of breakfast, your waitress will take your supper order – usually 3 entrée choices.  Since it’s all-you-can-eat, sometimes my husband orders all 3!  Supper always has soup/salad and dessert.  

What to do at Wolff’s?  Hang out at the pool, play shuffleboard, fish (private property, no NY license needed, but bring your own poles and equipment), hike, play mini golf, use the driving range, arrange a massage (for an extra fee), go to Happy Hour (which always has free snacks)….lots of options!  If you want to leave the resort, there are several things to do nearby (several golf courses, Cat’n Around the Catskills, Irish Tea Shop in Durham, Hudson River Cruises, and Emerson Kaleidoscope, just to name a few…).  Evenings at Wolff’s has bingo, horse racing, a magician, a movie, a DJ, etc.  There is something planned for each night.  

I must address some complaints from other posts:  Are the accommodations a bit outdated or is there a musty smell?  Let’s remember this is not a high-end resort in the Caribbean.  This is a SEASONAL resort that began in the 30’s with major growth through the 70’s.  The current owners, Mike and Ellen, make updates each year, but this is a LARGE resort maintained by ONE FAMILY.  The rooms do get renovated (new mattresses, new TVs), but I’m sure it’s a constant rotation of need.  As far as a mildew smell, I find that once the air conditioner is turned on (usually off during check-in), any smell disappears (again, possibly just closed up…).  Have I ever felt unsafe or the rooms being at risk in any way? NEVER.  Mike or Ellen being unavailable?  Well, again, this is a large family resort.  It is hard to man the front desk when you are also running the kitchen, maintaining the grounds, sometimes even tending the bar!!

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with delicious home-style meals included (2), lovely public spaces, nighttime entertainment, and a chance to reconnect with your friends and family, this is the place for you!  Give a classic a chance….you won’t regret it.
