This place was not what we expected.  The room was extremely small, 1 little chair in the room, a pop-up closet, no hair dryer and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall.  It was very clean, but, not what we expected after we researched it on the internet....sorry

Disappointed 

I would have given a better review, however, our last night here, I was enjoying the view from the bench swing they had out on their property. I was only on it for about 5 minutes when it broke, the side frame fell on my shoulder and head, while the wood above split in half and fell on my knee. My friend had to lift the frame off of my shoulder for me to get up. I told staff about it right away, they asked if I was okay, and of course, my shoulder and neck hurt, but I said I should be fine. The staff member then proceeded to say it must be due to the people who mow the lawn, that they must have bumped into it too many times, making it unsteady. I thought this was a poor excuse for why the entire swing fell on me, and I stood there unsure how to respond to that statement. After the swing broke, looking closer at the wood, it does look to be a bit rotted out.

This inn is a motel which feels like a B&B. Very clean. Appreciated the special decorating touches. Was great to have a refrigerator( with freezer) and the microwave. Each room has a private deck with a lake view. Firepit and a small waterfall fountain were nice touches. The innkeeper Jeff was so friendly and informative, very helpful and willing to assist if needed. Such a perfect location halfway up Seneca Lake. Would definitely stay here again! So nice to support a family-owned local business!

Great location, nicely decorated, friendly and helpful staff.

When I opened the door and took 2 steps into the room, I stopped and walked out to get my wife.  Upon entering, the sounds of nature were playing through the television.  The rear sliding glass door showed a beautiful view of the lake.  The electric fireplace was "blazing."  The room was so welcoming, I thought we were on HGTV.  The owners did not miss a detail to make us feel wanted.  I cannot recommend a better place to stay.  A small motel making you feel like you are at the Ritz.

Shocked and Amazed!

I booked a room here for a recent trip to the Finger Lakes and was very disappointed. I stayed here a few years ago and it was fine, but this time the room was quite musty and felt damp. I am very sensitive to mold and mildew, so I had a reaction to staying there and had to move to another hotel. (Trouble breathing, etc.) 
There is no staff on site - they communicate only via text. I texted to tell them about the issue and that we couldn't stay there. No one ever responded. You have to pre-pay so I guess they just don't care whether you are happy once you arrive. If you just want a place to crash and don't have any issues with mold, it's probably fine, but definitely stay away if you are sensitive.

Musty

This place is a gem. The location is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. In fact, our room, had recently been redone. It featured a fresh coat of paint, new sink & shower-even the towels and curtains seemed new. With a drip coffee pot, real coffee mugs(not cardboard), a fridge, and a microwave you will want for nothing. We had 2 outdoor sitting areas-1 in the front and a small private deck in the back with a beautiful view of the lake. The manager and staff were friendly and responsive. We stayed 4 nights and loved  it. Be sure to request wine glasses to sample your purchases!

They’ve Thought of Everything

This quaint motel is located right off a state highway that runs along the west side of Seneca Lake. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The back porch looked out at Seneca Lake which was very pretty. The owner has a fire pit and keeps wood split and available for a nice fire. For the price, you can't beat it. This property is located about 15 miles north of the Village of Watkins Glen. A added touch would have been to provide a couple of complimentary wine glasses since this is wine country. 

Perfect little hotel for our three night stay

we totally LOVED staying here. We had room 9 (more like an apartment): it was amazing (though the jacuzzi tub in the bedroom was a bit unusual). The place was centrally located to many of the vineyards and right across the street from Herman J. Weimar (which may well be our favorite).

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Savannah House in mid-August.  It was adorably charming!  While the room was small, it was so perfectly equipped with everything that we could need that the size really didn't matter.  The air conditioning was nice and cold, and so was the mini fridge.  The bed was comfortable.  Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire time we were there, so we didn't get to use the little patio, but at least the glass doors allowed me to see a great view of the lake.  I want to take a quarter of a star off though because the water pressure was really low.  I didn't get a satisfying shower while I was there.  Otherwise, it was perfect.  If I'm in the area, this would be where I would stay again.  It is surrounded by dozens of lovely wineries.

The most adorable little inn!

The Savannah House was the first stop of  2 properties while visiting Seneca Lake - stumbled across this one and was impressed by many of the positive reviews. Also liked that it was family run and on the more "charming" side. Booked the room with the owner, Patrick who was very nice and accommodating. 
My husband and I met Jeff (owner's son) upon arriving. Very nice guy who was busy preparing for the next round of guests. Things are done very simple here...if you check out their website it mentions no contact check in, and this is exactly correct. We returned just a short time later to find our room ready to go.
Clean and cozy, like the title says. You will have everything that you need. Bed is very comfortable and when compared with the second property, our favorite.
There is a small deck where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the grounds and the lake. 
Really enjoyed our stay at the Savannah House...there is a reason why the parking area seems to be full when you pass this place - a sweet stop.
