This is an excellent bed and breakfast. It is only 0.3 miles to the cliff walk and about 1 mile to downtown restaurants. Breakfast was delicious too! If we come back to Newport, RI, in the future, this is the B&B we will stay at.

Stay at Town & Tide Inn

 I want to first start off by saying that this place and it's staff were AMAZING! I had surprised my Wife for her birthday and our anniversary with a night away. We have three young children and, needless to say, we hardly get out anymore, so this was a very big deal for her. When we walked onto the property she fell in love with it, and I have to say, she is not very easy to please! Outside of her experience, I have to say that I can’t remember a time when I personally experienced such amazing customer service. Serena was in contact with me leading up to our stay, texting me and giving me updates. Communication is such an important thing to me, and this team obviously feels the same way.  The entire team onsite was outstanding, I honestly don’t know how they found their employees for this property; however, they deserve the highest accolades! I also scheduled a facial for my Wife while we were there and the masseuse, Charlie, was phenomenal, she came right up to our room and my Wife said it was the best facial she had ever gotten! Once again, I cannot begin to say how awesome our stay was here. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away for 1 night or a week in Newport. Oh and Breakfast was a 10 with the food and service! Thank you!

Mom and Dad Get a Night Out and This Place is Awesome!

We stayed in this beautiful B&B for a quick midweek getaway in October.  The property was beautifully decorated and the staff very welcoming. Location was perfect, within walking distance to both the Cliff Walk and downtown areas.  We stayed in Room 11 in the Carriage House which was pristine and quiet.  It had a lovely view of the Zen type courtyard with koi pond which was a relaxing place to sit and read or unwind. Breakfasts were outstanding and the staff very attentive. A special thanks to Serena for her suggestions about area restaurants and activities.  We look forward to returning. 

Highly Recommend This Wonderful Gem of a B&B!

Great overnight stay at Town and Tide. Lovely room, great breakfast and Serena was a wonderful host. Bed was a bit soft for our liking  but will definitely be back and highly recommend! Stones throw from Cliff Walk and very walkable to Wharf and several restaurants.

Great stay

Wonderful 3-day stay at the Town + Tide Inn, celebrating our wedding anniversary with a trip to Newport.
Here's what we especially liked: 
*The hospitality was super!
*the breakfasts were superb (truly gourmet!), the best we've ever had in our travels. 
*our room was clean and comfortable, and the entire premises was well-maintained.
*there is a small one-room building called "the shed", with comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing, reading, equipped with a coffee station and supplies including cups and wine glasses. A nice little retreat any time of the day!
* the Inn's location is within walking distance of the International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum (an important attraction for us), the Cliff Walk, and several nice restaurants. 
* free parking on the premises for guests.  
Finally, a big “thank you” to the staff for maintaining an environment that made us feel right at home!

Great Hospitality! Great Breakfast!

Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms are clean, breakfasts good, and hostess is very nice and helpful. My only issue is the amount of noise your can hear from the street and room above. Anytime the people above you move it sounds like elephants are stomping around. The noise from the street is bad as well.

Nice stay

This was the 2nd time we stayed at the Inn! Serena was very welcoming! Room was immaculate, relaxing, and breakfast was delicious! We highly recommend. We will definitely return for future stays. Easy walking access to downtown.  5 star 🤩🤩🤩

Anniversary weekend!

From start to finish, an amazing experience! Innkeeper could not have been more accommodating. Breakfast was superb. The rooms was clean, quiet and very comfortable. I would stay again in a minute. Well done Team Town & Tide!

Ah ha experience

We've stayed at many bed and breakfasts and hotels in Newport. Each one has their superpower. The Town and Tide Inn really brought everything together. What we look for is proximity to Thames and/or the Cliff Walk and beaches. The Town and Tide Inn is smack in the middle of both. You're also around the corner from Bellevue Ave which offers so much convenience. Besides the location the rooms are great. Every detail covered, including white noise machines. Now the best part, the breakfast. I could type another paragraph on it but to keep it simple, I'll just say it's outstanding.

My husband and I travel frequently and have stayed in everything from the Ritz to Holiday Inn and this is by far my favorite! Was so quaint, VERY CLEAN, the breakfast was homemade every morning, the owner (manager?) knew us by name and was enthusiastic about our every need being met. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Will definitely stay again
