Expectations for a Motel 6 are modest—but this one is really disappointing. First room had broken AC; second room was missing the door chain, the clothes rack, the refrigerator, and the smoke detector. Stairs had dangerous frayed treads, were filled with stored items, and reeked of cigarette smoke. Office was never open; all interaction was through the night window.

Tired property reeks of tobacco smoke

Really wasn’t as bad as some of these reviews say. Perhaps I had a stroke of luck and had gotten a good room but it was clean and tidy. Very simple at a cheap price. I did get a single room with a no smoking policy so that might be why. There were some people making noises by walking in the hallway at night but that’s to be expected.

Pleasant

Absolutely the most disgusting motel I have ever visited. Everything from the check in desk, the stairway to the first floor and the bedroom all made me feel sick. The smell was appalling throughout, a mixture of stale vomit, cigarette smoke and feet. The check in desk had a window half blacked out so I have no idea what was happening with my credit card and passport. The bedroom was just awful. Curtains hanging off the wall. Cigarette burn holes in the blanket. The bedding may well have been white at one point but was now a very dull grey, not dark enough yet to hide the hairs of the previous guests though. It took all of 10 seconds for me to walk out and tell the young man on the check in desk that I simply couldn’t stay in this motel. To his credit, he didn’t question this at all. He actually seemed quite used to it and simply said “sorry about that” and started filling out a refund slip without any fuss. Ended up visiting the holiday inn across the road, more expensive but felt like a palace compared to this utter hell hole. I have never walked out of a hotel/motel before, I’m not a particularly fussy person, but there is no way I could stay in this place. I’d recommend to all to avoid.

Stay away

This place should get 5 negative stars.  We first got a room with somebody sleeping in it although the attendant said we were imagining things until we proved him wrong.  Then we got a room that was so damn filthy that we asked for a different room. Wasn’t much better with cigarette burn holes in the sheets, lamps that have never been dusted, drapes falling off the windows and the shower that you were afraid to get into. Of course we didn’t because we just wanted to get out of here as fast as we could. I’ll be writing corporate as this place should be shut down by the health department. 
There are so many code violations. I don’t know how it is still operating.  Who is getting paid off?

Get out fast and run.

I checked out of this place as fast as I checked in. The front office was closed and there’s a sign directing you to a side window where one side of the window is blackened out so you can’t see the actual front desk. You slide your ID and. credit card under the glass but your can’t see what they’re doing with it.  There was garbage visible from where so was standing. I noticed when I drove over to my room there were people in lawn chairs sitting in the parking lot and it appeared as if they lived there. I went into my room and couldn’t believe the filth. There was a cockroach on the floor and the shower was black. I immediately left, put my keys under that glass,  called them and told them no way would I stay there. Dogs stay free which I think is funny since I wouldn’t even let my dogs lay on that floor. The absolute filthiest room I’ve ever seen. I didn’t have my phone with me or I would have taken pictures. It was so gross I couldn’t even stand there long enough to actually check out.

Nasty

This didn't feel like the safest hotel. I understand Covid protocols, but when you are sliding your credentials underneath a window like a Detroit gas station, there's a feeling that this is a dangerous place. Plus, it clearly has people living in this hotel. I wouldn't let my daughter walk out to the vehicle by herself. Lighting in the halls was very dim. The smoke alarm on the wall of our room was removed with the bare wires hanging. There wasn't a sprinkler system, either. The shower seemed to have quite a bit of mold that wasn't getting cleaned out properly. Thankfully, my stay was for one night only. I would not repeat this visit.

A little scary

Sheets with cigarette burn holes. Blankets with tears and holes! Wifi unsecure and worthless. Tv would not stay on cable, kept losing signal. Bathroom was deplorable. Shower had no water pressure and if you are 5 foot tall you can shower standing up, unfortunate we are 5’8” and 6’, so we had to kneel down to shower. Grounds are messy! I wouldn’t let my dog stay here 

Don’t bother! Awful!

Just flying through town and wanted a cheep place to stay for one night. That’s what I got...a cheep place to stay. 

Front desk staff was great. Helpful and friendly. 

The room was not clean. The floors were not swept, the shower had hair in it, the bed spreads were stained, the pillows smelled like someone’s head and the fridge was dirty. 

There was an air conditioner but the room was so humid all night that I felt like I was covered in damp. 

Did have a window I could open and clearly someone, at one time, probably either broke in our out of it. 

It is what it is and I got what I paid for.

We needed a cheap room for 1 night, we found this hotel to be clean roomy and quiet. The front desk checked was easy we got to our room had a microwave  and refrigerator  a plus clean room.The outside parking lot lobby and hallway we very clean as well . This is not a 5 star hotel but clean and quiet  would stay again 

A Good Suprise

Have stayed here before as it is conveniently located from the interstate and options for food close by.  It has been renovated as you can tell by the flooring in the rooms.  This particular room had many things not going for it - non-smoking room that smelled like a smoking room, burn marks on the countertop and cigarette ashes by the trashcan in the bathroom - which just added to the thought that it really wasn't a non-smoking room; shower that barely functioned (extremely low flow rate) and short - the water would hit me chest height; bed linens that were stained - didn't look closely enough to determine what the stains were.  Was totally wiped by the time I got here and just didn't have the energy to deal with the hassle of getting the front desk to give me a different room.  Sadly, this particular place will come off the list of places to stay while passing through.
