The room was nice. Had a dehumidifier that we had to empty daily. There was mold in the bathroom and hair on the bed.  The pool was the best part, cool but not cold and never crowded with plenty of seating and lounges.  The staff was nice but we had an issue with our card when we checked in on Saturday. The manager was called and wanted me to get it settled then and there on a Saturday or to try the next day on Sunday. I do not know of a bank that is open on a weekend but we are members with a credit union. So we paid cash to stay through Mon, which we then settled the remainder of the week once we got ahold of our bank. Hurricane Idalia was coming so we decided to leave early. The manager, Mishon, who we already had to deal with once, would only refund 1 night even though we checked out 2 days early, before 11am (check out time). A storm with flooding and wind was approaching and we did not want to get stuck. It wasn't because we were trying to just leave early. I would think twice before booking this property.

Great staff, poor management.

The staff was so pleasant. It is nothing fancy, but the room was very clean and spacious. It was easy to find, and near a lot of places. The only thing that could be improved is the parking lot was a little cramped. Would definitely stay here again.

We needed a hotel for one night while attending a Catamaran Party, and because it was the same weekend as the Big Rock Fishing Tournament, the Island Inn was the best choice of only four available hotels. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise! The management was professional and courteous, and the room was charming! Even though this is an OLDER hotel, it's been renovated. The rooms are large and, most importantly, CLEAN. The location is fantastic, just off the bridge, and with a quick drop of our keys in the lock box, we checked out at 5 am with no issues at all. I would stay again or recommend it to anyone in need of a clean, somewhat quiet accommodation. 

Charming Little Place Just Off The Bridge

Had a great time the 2nd year in a row that we visited.  Great customer service.  We got into town a day early and was able to check in. Danielle was super nice and friendly.  Very clean room, comfy bec and the kitchenette is great for an at home experience.  We went to the grocery store down the street and could have a "home cooked" meal.  I get tired of restaurant food on vacation.  So nice to wake up to coffee brewing and making toast.  There's restaurants nearby and 4 Corners diner is walkable and great breakfast.  McDonald's is 2 doors down and Roma Pizza is 3 doors down and yummy.  Our favorite part is the pool.  Very clean and lots of chairs, tables, loungers, shade or sun.  I highly recommend this hotel.

The management company is very rude, they don’t listen and make judgement calls based on their personal opinions. The rooms were nice and clean and some staff members were friendly. Close to the beach and sound and most restaurants are closed during this time, not much to do during the winter months.

I searched for a while for an affordable pet friendly place and I was super impressed with how clean the room was.I would have never thought another animal had been in the place. 
I wish it was ocean front but you can't have everything. Will be back!!

PET FRIENDLY

My fiancé and I love to stay at the Island Inn of Atlantic Beach. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We unfortunately had to cancel our most recent trip due to hurricane Ian and we waited until the last possible minute to cancel because we wanted to go so much. The hotel was amazing and refunded all of the payments we made except for $20. They didn’t have to do that but that shows really great service and class. We can’t wait to go back in July or hopefully sooner. Thanks for several great stays Island Inn!!

Greatest Place to Stay

We found Island Inn last year when we were looking for a hotel close to the beach . After visiting last year we booked a room immediately for this year. They treat you like you are family and are ready and willing to help with anything you need.   The beach is just a short walk.

I have vitiated this location many times prior to my last visit. Location is amazing, short walk to the beach, and close to food/ the amazing brewery and shopping. This time was not the same though. I found out through this visit it’s now under new management, terrible choice. We reserved 3 rooms, 2 with the kitchens. We checked in about 230, not into the room we were supposed to have, nonetheless checked in. By 3 we had to call the office and tell them our toilet didn’t work. My husband was able to finally get it to work, ONCE and only one time. Called again at 430/5, was told they would get ahold of the managers. 1030pm I get a TEXT asking me what I want done…. Ummm I want a functioning toilet…… so, needless to say manager came said they called the room… ummm I'm not hanging in the room especially without a toilet and with 2 kids waiting for a call, never called my cell.  Manager came about 11pm and the solution he had… “I can give you the key to 2 doors down you can use that bathroom”….. NO I have 2 kids I’m not sending there to go to the bathroom at whatever hours of the night. In turn he very irritatedly said he would personally clean the room at 11pm. So, 1130pm, myself, 2kids and my husband packed everything and relocated. He didn’t come back to check if we were ok or anything. This man never even muttered the word sorry through the entire experience, wouldn’t even make eye contact!! Was able to eventually after checking out talk to 2 of the 3 directors of the location. One was amazing! He was understanding and considerate, the other, well you can tell she was the reason they are the new managers. I spent $1400 for the total for the 3 rooms for 4 nights, not again. I will not be back until this manager is no longer there. I try to give ppl the benefit of doubt, but he was just rude. If only sorry for the inconvenience was offered after the move it would have done good, or heck, eye contact would have been a plus….. but instead I got basically a screw you as he told the staff I “cursed him out”…. Ironic that’s 100% not who I am and don’t care the circumstances would never treat someone that way. Sad to see only a very few from past visits, thank goodness they have toughed it out and I was able to see them again. But, the warm friendly happy vibe it once had is definitely cold and dry now. It’s amazing all this from just wanting a functional toilet……. And it be in my room so that I don’t have to go rooms down for it……

Had to find a last minute place to stay and found this little gem. Within walking distance to the Brewery,McDonalds,Roma Pizza and the Shark Shack. Rooms were clean. 

Can't comment on the Brewery since we aren't drinkers. I have been to Roma Pizza before and its great. Was the first time going to the Shark Shack and was impressed,I'll make a review for that later.

The two ladies who were there when I needed something was Super nice and Helpful,sorry I didn't get your names.

The biggest thing is the place is Quiet. No loud music,etc going on when you are trying to sleep.

Beach is two blocks away and you're taken to a public access. You go out the back of the parking lot to the Right onto the side street,go a block and go left another block,beach access is straight ahead.Since there isn't any parking at that access,wasn't any problem finding a spot on the beach. There is room to park for a second to drop off anybody who isn't able to walk that far.

All in all,I must admit I was surprised that a last minute stay was this good.
