We were really pleased with our stay, clean, quiet, and most of all no bugs!!!!! Very short walk to get to the beach. We will surely stay again and recommend our friends and family to stay at the sand dollar.

Daughters wedding on the beach

Neat place but dated.   Prefer more upscale.   I would stay again.   Friendly staff and service.   I travel a lot and often try local places.   Beach nearby of course and other activities.  Staff was genuine and cared

Not worth even $40. Room light all night due to poor blinds and no drapes, and bright lights on outside the rooms. The “bath” towel was about the size of 4 washcloths. Very slow internet connection. Even with shower curtain pulled, water went on the floor.

Save your money. Don’t stay here

I don’t bother writing reviews often, but every now and then something really stands out. This time in a horrible way. I feel people need to know how terrible this place is. There was no staff and just a key in an envelope. So no one to talk with about the deplorable conditions. I have attached pictures so you can see for yourself. Cigarette burn through the comforter. Then peel the sheet back to reveal a gross stain. The carpet was absolutely filthy and you can see that in the pic. If you walk too close to the bed you will loose part of your shin on the hidden piece of metal bed frame. I pulled the skirt back for the pic. We had two rooms with our group and they were both the same. They also had cheap blinds that didn’t block the light so the outside light would shine right in the face of whoever got the bed by the window. Staying anywhere else would be a better option.
You have been warned.

Filthy, rundown Motel.

Check-in is at 4:00, but you have to get the phone number of the ONLY employee from a faded piece of paper taped to the door to let her know that you have arrived. Once we checked in, the room still wasn't ready, because once again there was only one employee.( Outside of our room at the spot where we should have to park is an old dump trailer that had been sitting so long that the tires had dry rotted, inside the trailer was a full load of trash covered by a tarp.) So we went to the beach and came back about an hour later. Still no towels or toilet paper, so again we track down the only employee and request them again. She got us very old worn towels from a trash bag in the back of her Honda car. After showering and thinking are we really going to sleep in this horrible place we decide that since we have paid we will tough it out, turn down the comforter and the sheets don't match. One bed had old faded brown sheets and one had old faded floral sheets, which kind of was weird. The thing that sent us to another hotel for the night was that the beds had sand from somebody else's feet and hair in them. NOPE could not stay at that point I would have preferred sleeping in the car. Each room had a rusty air conditioner unit that the fronts had fallen off of. I can't say how disappointed this motel was. PLEASE find a different place to stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

No pillow  cases, no blanket, toilet paper fixture broken, no desk, few electric outlets, poor window shade, loud other guests. Had planned to stay five nights but One night was enough, don't recommend.

Low Rent Motel but not low price

The pictures are deceiving.  The floor was so dirty we could not even walk on it without shoes, there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, toothpaste on the mirror.  We went to Walmart to buy a blanket and pillows because theirs was so nasty.  We were only staying 1 night for a fishing trip, but there is NO way I could have stayed more than that.  So bad I refused to take a shower there.  Steer clear of this one!!

Disgusting

Booked the 4th of July weekend - cost about $570 for three nights.  it was so bad that we left after two nights.  They did refund us $25.

Small room with two queens; sticky floor; broom and dustpan were leaning against wall behind entry door (to brush off sand?); early cinder block decor (ugh!); "closet" was a hanging rack about 3 1/2 feet long with no hangars (management did provide several upon request).  tiny bathroom/commode/sink/shower; only amenities provided were two pieces of soap about a half dollar in size.  Fan (if there was one) did not work.  Window a/c was old and noisy.  No telephone in room.  Desk chair was broken such that to sit in it you had to assume a rocket launch position (i.e., lie on your back!).

You get the picture.  Save your $.

Buyer Beware

LOTS OF SAND FOR THE DOLLAR
The worst accomodation imaginable.  Had to spread towels on floors to negate amount of sand under foot.  Started visit by asking where ice was as no bucket in room.  How about a pay ice machine outside office in bags.  Watched 2 lb bag of ice melt in sink as minuscule reefer couldn't accommodate. Then way down hill thereafter.  Asked for vial of shampoo as none in room.  That's right, none available.  
Fiddled with tv for 20 mins and figured out batteries were dying/dead.  Left dingy digs for few hours to think about how to survive two nights at the pit.
More tomorrow, should the morrow come.

Worse than the virus.

Went in June checked in, the rooms are very dated, our room had 3 beds and 2 rooms the ac was in the back room you froze in that room and suffered in the front room. Roaches where present, and a fraudulent charge was attempted for $20 damaged towel they did reimburse, said it was damaged with hair dye. And they have a central hot water heater if there's a lot of usage then no hot water had to forgo bath 1 night due to the lack of hot water, like I said very dated no amenities other than the basics. They have a sign up stating you will be charged a 50$ fee for any dirty dishes they may incur through an oversight or intentional means. Would I stay again? No.
