We stayed for two nights in a cottage #15

Pros:  location, dog friendly (be sure to take paperwork for your dog)

Cons:  
- housekeeping left the door to our unit unlocked and wide open after going in to make beds on 2nd day
-credit card was charged more than quoted price and an extra fee we have to call and ask why 
-at checkin they said we were upgraded to a “cottage” but it was really just a hotel type room, no table, no chair or anything extra. Just two beds, tv and nightstand for furniture plus fridge and microwave
-shared main door with a second unit. Soundproofing was terrible. Could hear neighbours conversations 
-dated furniture with squeaky bed frame and old bed spreads
-things like plastic wrapped cups were not replenished on 2nd day
-no staff on site. Took multiple calls to get through to front desk at the other hotel that handles questions
-very small bathroom with only a small glass shelf to put things down on or use the back of toilet as shelf
-no tub and very small narrow shower
-room smelled like something had been painted in it recently 

We travel to North Conway every year but we wouldn’t book at Oxen Yoke again.  The main reason is because of our room being left unlocked and door wide open by housekeeping.  Grateful none of our items were stolen. Doors should be replaced with real hotel doors that close automatically behind you and then that mistake couldn’t happen.

Disappointed

This little hotel is great.The rooms are spotless.They are a decent size.The price is not bad.Its off the Main Street so there isn’t a lot of noise.You can walk to the Main Street and take in the neat little shops or restaurants.I would recommend this little place to anyone 😁

Clean

Booked a room for 2 nights.  First off, we went to find the office to check in.  There is no office.  You have to drive about six blocks to a fancy hotel to get the key.  The room is way too small for two “queens” (they are actually smaller than that) with a tiny table jammed in the corner.  This room would have been okay with one king and maybe a little couch that folds out but it is outdated, crowded and smells stale.  Bathroom is outdated.  TV is tiny.  AC was running full blast and still didn’t cool the room (and it was not that hot).  And... please please buy some dam curtains.  The plastic louvered blinds to nothing to keep the sun out.

There are many better choices

Stayed here for one night and it was more than I had hoped for.  We arrived late so had to check in at another property but directions on how to find the other place are at The Oxen Yoke - so easy to find.

This place was a typical motel type place with everything we needed.  Got a recommendation of where to eat from reception which was a good shout!  Motel is within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants etc.  I would stay here again.

Lovely little place in the hub of things

We had a voucher for a free two night stay at Oxen Yoke but ended up using only one night.  My non smoking room smelled smoky and musty and the comforter had stains and cigarette holes.  The front desk was unable to move us to something at Eastern Slope so we ended up checking out and paying to stay at a nearby hotel.  I would not stay here for free nevermind paying to stay.

Bad Experience

Older motel style rooms. Rooms were clean and beds were pretty comfy. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. Outdoor pool is not heated but clean- open 9a-9p. All guests have right to the mother hotel- Eastern Slope Inn with indoor pool/hot tubs and restaurant. Also- this is where u need to check in! Also pet friendly rooms are available! Wish I had known that- would have brought my german shepherd as there were very large dogs and small ones too. Location is great about 3/4 mile to downtown area.
