So-  I was booked for a week in August on a river site. I was on my account yesterday and noticed that they moved me to another non-river front site- with no communication. I booked on November 28, 2023 directly with the campground. I have spoken to them and was told that they moved us because they double booked the site due to a change in reservation system.  I really want a riverfront site for my family- I am so so angry.  And the fact that no one called me is completely unacceptable.  Can you imagine if we showed up and were expecting a river site???

NEVER MADE IT THERE DUE TO SKETCHY TACTICS

A fun-filled very clean and safe campground.  We are not typically campers and we were so impressed with how clean all the facilities were and how secure we felt.  The daily activities were a lot of fun for the children.  A wonderful family experience.

This was our first visit to this campground.  We stayed from Sunday-Tuesday --place was close to or at capacity and filled with all kinds of people!  This place is definitely "in demand"!! From families with littles to older folks just chillin' and everything in-between.  Check in/out was quick and easy with very helpful and friendly staff.  Half of us stayed in my son's "Schoolie" bus which is 40 feet long on site 76.  Totally wide and  long enough with plenty of space to spare.  The other half of us pitched a tent on E2 which was such a nice spot across from the duck pond.  My only complaint from that spot would be the noise from Rt. 16, which is no fault of the campground.... the water feature in the duck pond def helps dampen the traffic noise a bit and was much appreciated!  Bathrooms were spacious and clean.  They installed some new ones that are just beautiful.  Pool was soo nice, new, and clean-- just very very busy with lots of kiddos.  If you are looking for quieter pool hours, the earlier the better is my recommendation.  The pool is a bit of a haul depending on exactly which site you are staying in bc there are minimal "cut throughs".  Bringing a bike or renting a golf cart will help if you have issues with walking so much--the place is really big!  We brought our own tubes and rented one extra to tube the very swift river which was so much fun!  I recommend water shoes or crocs to save your feet.  We will def return to this place again.  One tip (from one camper to another)--Say "hello" and smile to your fellow 'campers' as you visit.  It really doesn't take much effort and can mean the world to someone :-). 

Large sites, updated features, river access--Beautiful place!

Stayed at the park with 32 other RV's for 4 days.  Roads are paved, sites are spacious with many pull-through, facilities are new, and there are plenty of activities for the kids!  Group area features a covered pavilion for gatherings.  Sites are 4-way (water, sewer, 15/30/50 electric, and cable.  Rental cabins are new.  Pool is new!  Fully stocked store.  They even have sites with covered dog pens!  This park is amazing!      

This RV Resort is fabulous for family RV fun in the heart of the North Conway region!

We have been repeat leaf peepers for many years. And every time it's like coming home to the Saco River Campground. This year we were able to use the newly built sites for the first time, and we were thrilled: spacious, perfect infrastructure (hook-ups, grill, gravel). The reception is very friendly, professional and customer-oriented. We are already looking forward to the next time.

This is my second trip this season and both times going they were incredible from check in, to all the miscellaneous stop ins, to my son and niece going in and out (likely being annoying haha) they were great.  The name "family" is 100% true.  You feel very welcome from the campers and you feel safe letting your kids go play. Incredible environment and so worth it! Will be going multiple times again next season!

We called ahead to let the office know we were running a little behind. Apparently, when you are running late they don’t let you in and have you stay outside in the parking lot for the night. How late is too late you ask?? Anything later the 8pm!  This left us seeking accommodations elsewhere for the weekend. People traveling will often have things that delay them on the road. There is no excuse for being inflexible about simply opening the gate and letting us check in. It made us immediately wonder about the lack of security after hours. We had booked 2 weekends in the fall and this was our 2nd stay. On the first stay I really wasn’t happy with the campground. The staff isn’t that friendly, there was loud music blasting from several sites on our first stay. And not surprisingly with inflexible places with poor management, they charge you your entire stay in advance. We won’t stay here again.

Does anything else out there close at 8pm? Don’t get delayed checking in!!!

Absolutely love this campground.  It may not have all the amenities of Jellystone in Glen, but it has a wonderful location (right next to the outlets) and we’ll maintained sites.

What makes this place outstanding is the customer service.  The ladies at the the store and office areas always have a big smile and are willing to help.

They added a new heated salt water pool and splash pad for this year which certainly made the kids happy.  Apparently there is a restaurant going in above as well which is kind of neat for a campground.  

The only thing I’d ask is that they add more deluxe full hookup riverfront spots.  They have about 6-7 and they book up quick on holidays.

Our Family Favorite

They don't use waterproof mattress covers in the cabins. I spilled some water from an ice pack onto the corner of the mattress.. They called me to tell me they're charging me money for damages because the entire mattress was "soaked through". I asked why they don't use waterproof covers for mattresses on a camping ground on the river, and the rep said they do. If that was true, the mattress wouldn't have soaked through, right? She then accused me of unzipping the mattress cover prior to getting water on the mattress. Gross and fraudulent. **UPDATE: despite my telling the girl on the phone I did NOT authorize any additional charges, they put the charge through before allowing me to speak with management**

My wife & I camped here for a week recently. We had site #36 which was roomy & in a good spot. The campground itself is in a great location, close to lots of attractions/ things to do. We tubed the river and at the end where you exit the river back into the campground, the sloped embankment was uneven, steep & dangerous. My wife lost her balance and fell down the slope, bumping her head. Long story short, another camper called 911 & we spent 4 hours at the hospital. Campground officials showed no interest in our experience. We came home Saturday and I emailed them yesterday expressing my concerns and haven't received a response.
