I'm writing this review to add my experience to the wildly divergent reviews of this Motel 6.  If I had read the bad reviews before arriving, I likely wouldn't have booked it.

Let me be as clear as I can: this is an "outdoor entrance to each room" motel in a questionable part of town.  There will be sirens, train whistles, and noise directly outside your door overnight.  This part of the city attracts people looking for social services and they often have nowhere else to go.  The staff aren't whistling while they work.  The shower head won't be adjustable and there isn't a spa on site.  If these are deal-breakers for you, then pony up and pay for a real hotel.

HOWEVER, it delivers more than it promises.  My room was relatively spacious, surprisingly clean, and I had no difficulty with anything in it.  The bed was comfortable and the hot water was abundant.  My one gripe as a tech guy: no electricity near the desk, only by the bed - but I've been equally disappointed with that in five-star hotels.

The other reviews here contain horrors that just seemed almost impossible to reconcile with what I saw.  I'm sure some of them are real, but I saw nothing even adjacent to the things others have claimed or complained about.

If you need an inexpensive place to stay and just need a place to sleep, shower, and use the restroom, this is more than OK.  I would stay there again.

Things have clearly gotten better

Let know traveling from a distance & so arriving late. They said not a problem. The room was clean, in a decent location near where we were traveling through. Not fancy but didn’t need to be. Overall, good experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

I had to sleep in my car that night because I couldn't find anywhere else to go because I spent the money that I had on the reservation and couldn't get my money back or the room I've been bad health and it was bullcrap

I was turned away when I came up there and I had a reservation which was already paid for

This place is absolutely the filthiest place I've ever been to, the fridge and end table had dirt and dead cockroaches, dead cockroaches all over the floor, live roaches and other bugs running around, we wanted to leave and go somewhere else but it was too late at night so we were stuck, it was so bad that my daughter would rather have slept in the car.

Nothing deluxe about this place 

clean rooms-quiet-even tho near freeway-good price---our chi luved it too--no fridge or micro -wave--plenty of shelf room n storage space-clean beds---A/C in theat room works but needs sum tlc.overall pleased with deal.

As loyal Red Roof customers we have stayed at many across the US.  The front desk clerk Joyce was extremely friendly and helpful.  She had a great attitude and provided an excellent customer experience.  The hotel is under new ownership and there have been some cosmetic improvements ie: lobby.  

The room was spacious and clean and had a desk workspace.  The WIFI worked great as well.

As an added bonus there was complimentary continental breakfast which was simple but the choices also provided healthy options which I prefer. Yogurts, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, oatmeal and breads and bagels with cream cheese.

I would definitely stay here again.  Thanks Joyce and give Toby a 🤗 

Pleasant and Quiet 

Standard Motel 6, clean, rooms without carpets, bathroom not so good, but free WiFi.

But I should have noticed that when I walked in, there was not going to be any "Southern Hospitality". On the desk a big sign stating "WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE" (or someting to that effect, very odd...

This morning, I extended my stay be one night and was rather stunned that at 8.15am, the young guy at reception still had the doors locked and only dealt with (paying) custoners through a window! I then wanted some coffee, the first jug was empty (and the whole area was messy!). The second jug gave like three drops at the time, I told the guy at reception that both jugs were empty. I should have filmed what was happening next! The guy came to teh coffee area, opened up the first jug and put the tiny rest of coffee in there into my cup. He then proceeded to tell me that I should continue using the second jug, by pumping and pumping and punping. I told him not to be ridiculous, and left (without any coffee).

Customers service at its best, maybe someone should tell him that he is not suited to work in an environment where there are customers...

Ok place, not very friendly!

As we travel around the country we are in a hotel literally every night and this was BY FAR THE WORST.  Cheap as hell, 
50.00  flat. No flat screen, hot water knob in the bathtub broken, you don't turn it just right and water comes shooting out from the wall, toilet got clogged, went to office at like 6am for a plunger, told me would have to wait for maintenance, so 1030 Comes and housekeeping brings a plunger. 30 minutes b4 having to leave.  Office people very very RUDE. There is laundry, and wifi, and is close shopping, food, and gas. We do not recommend and will never stay there again. Oh, and there was a place on the wall next to the bed that looked to poop had been smeared. I mean seriously, housekeepers, do your job and clean.
