Our family was headed to North Creek for a birthday celebration weekend. We were looking for dog-friendly accommodation with an on site restaurant and North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain looked good. It turned out to be perfect. The staff is friendly and really helpful. Special shout out to chef Tina for the best fried haddock we've had in a very long time (even according to the Brits in our group).  Rooms were clean and neat. Quite basic but met all of our needs. 

Perfect for our family weekend

We were looking for a place to stay near Gore Mt. We found the North Creek Lodge formerly known as the Black Mountain Lodge. It was less than a 10 minute drive to the mountain. Melissa and her husband run the lodge. You couldn't ask for nicer hosts. The rooms, I understand were recently renovated, were exceptionally clean and very adirondack. They offer a continental breakfast, surprisingly we were offered pancakes and bacon one day and french toast and sausage another. We had the french toast and it was delicious .We ate dinner one night and that was also great. We are so happy that we found this place. We will definitely return and are looking so forward to it. 

North Creek Lodge a plus

My sons & I had a very pleasant stay at the North Creek Lodge conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Gore Mountain.  The room was clean and the bathroom was a nice size.  The owner Melissa is a gem going over and beyond by offering a hot dish for breakfast although she only had to serve a continental breakfast (biscuits & gravy) and manning the on-site restaurant that offered delicious home made food,  Jerry and Melissa  & the staff are very friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make guests feel welcome.  We wound definitely stay here again the next time we go skiing at Gore Mt,

A Gem near Gore Mountain, NY

Took my daughter for a couple of days skiing. Perfect location to get to Gore Mountain. The rooms were clean, a decent size and well furnished. I believe there has been recent renovations including AC in all rooms. The restaurant/bar was a plus, very cosy and a nice mixture of locals and guests. The big plus was the staff…really friendly folks. Highly recommended.

Excellent hospitality

Living in Rochester it was about a 4 hour trip for us after work so we got there after 10pm but when I called them to let them know it was no problem, they left the keys out for us. The rooms were very clean and very pleasant to sleep in. Towels, bar soap and shampoo was provided. Clean bathroom and shower. No service in the area for Verizon carriers but had Wi-Fi we could use. AC units in the wall worked well. We also were leaving before the included breakfast opened so she (sadly I cant remember her name but I believe she's the owner) woke up early to meet us and offered bagged breakfast to go. Very kind and thoughtful. Would most definitely recommend to a friend and stay there again. Thank you!

A perfect nights rest before the rough of the mountains 

North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain exceeded our expectations.  The room was large and clean, clean, clean. Good water pressure, plenty of hot water, firm mattress, comfortable pillows, air conditioning worked great, plenty of parking, off the beaten path which provided peace and quiet. The breakfast was very good with scrambled farm fresh eggs as well as other choices.  The restaurant food was outstanding.  We chose to eat there every night. There is volleyball, corn hole, fire pits and trails for walking if you so choose to use them.  Staff is excellent. Wi-fi worked just fine. We did not have cell service(Verizon)

Peaceful location

We were visiting our daughter and chose the North Creek Lodge as our home base. It did not disappoint. The team is superior- Melissa assures that all runs smoothly, Leah cooks amazing food with a homemade flare, Tanya keeps rooms spotless and Jerry is the fix it guy! Loved everything about our 9 day stay!  Excellent guest service throughout! There is a volleyball court, cornhole set up and a bonfire every other Saturday.  It is located in a beautiful area.  The restaurant/bar are such a bonus.  Melissa and Jerry have exciting plans for continuous upgrade.  You will love your time here in the Adirondacks!

Highly recommend

We stayed here a week and really enjoyed our stay.  The North Creek Lodge (f/k/a Black Mountain Lodge) is under new management.  Jerry and Melissa are the new owners, and they and the staff are very friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make guests feel welcome.  We had problems getting FedEx to deliver a package, but they made sure they did everything possible to help us with it.  The rooms (including the bathrooms) are really clean, and an advantage over most motels/hotels is that the floor is not carpeted, so it is possible to clean the floors really well, and you don't get that "musty, sweaty old industrial carpet" smell, like you often do in other places.  The towels, bedding and pillows were really clean too and did not smell like someone's armpit (as they often do).  WiFi worked great, and we used that to make phone calls, because I did not get cell signal (Verizon) there.  We did not get to try the restaurant much, but it was clean, and the free breakfast was great!

Great Experience, Very Clean!

The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help our group after we accidentally left of key card in the room. They are within 5 minutes of Gore Mountain. The restaurant and bar are only a few steps from your room. This was welcomed after a few days of hard skiing and snowboarding. The food was great and although every table at the restaurant was full they service was great. 

If you are planning a get away in the North Creek this is the place to stay. Clean rooms are personal care will keep me going back for years to come.

Close to Gore and Incredible Service

I would definitely stay here again. The people are nice, the rooms are very clean and it's very peaceful and quiet. The bar/restaurant has a very homey feel and the food is great. Home cooking just like mom use to make.
