This perfectly fit the bill for what I was looking for...clean room near the beach, for a low price.  Great value for the family who wants to get away to the beach, but doesn't want to eat out all the time, as it has all the essentials to prepare food in your room.

Clean Room and Friendly Staff

My mom and I came just for a quick over night mother/daughter trip. Len was great during check in, and during my pre trip call to check the status because of covid. Room is clean and spacious, 1 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of restaurants around. Clean pool! Definitely won’t be our last trip here!

Shangri-La is an excellent place to stay overall. Staff is excellent, beach is a minute walk, it’s very clean, and the beds are comfortable. It’s definitely not an ultra modern hotel, so if you need everything up to date, not your place. If you want a close walk to the beach, a clean place to stay, at a reasonable price, this is the place for you!

Wonderful Stay!

Our first tip this year was in June. Just a last moment get-a-way.  Called to see if there was a room and they held it for us until we got there. Everything was great and clean.  Our second trip was 2 weekends ago for an anniversary trip. Once again we loved it!  We are going back again this weekend coming with the kids.  Rooms sleep 4 with private bathroom, full size fridge with freezer, small stove and oven with microwave.  2 table to eat at.  They also have 2 larger rooms that we like to use when we bring the kids for the extra space for toys and pack n plays.  We have been staying at the Shangri La for 4  generations!  I am so glad I get to make memories with my kids that I got to make as a child myself. I still get as excited to go back each time now, as I did as a kid.

20+ years and still loving it!

This was our first trip to Ocean City and the first time staying at the Shangri La. The Concierges were very personable, Len and Susan, and we enjoyed talking to them daily. The room were very clean, spacious, comfortable and affordable. The kitchenette had everything needed to prepare meals if someone wanted to eat in. The building was well maintained and our room looked freshly painted. We were pleasantly surprised to see how close to the beach we were!  We were able to park close to our room with never a problem.I would highly recommend the Shangri La to everyone!!

Great time at Shangri La

This was my first time staying at the Shangri-La! It was awesome. Our room was available when we checked in. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable! Now it is an older motel, but the upkeep is so good. The kitchenette was clean as were the items provided. It really helped with not eating out all the time. My grandkids loved the pool. I did too! I can’t say enough good things about this property. We will definitely be making this our go to place!

Amazingly clean, amazingly affordable and amazing service!

decided last minute to run to the beach, our first choice to stay was the "shangri-la", of course this motel did not disappoint.  Room was ready at 3:17am when we arrived and check-in and check out was quick and easy.

We have stayed here for years, and by years I mean about 20 years. We love this place!!! The rooms are always clean, the sheets and pillows are comfortable, and the pool is always nice and clean. Great location, friendly owners and reasonably priced!!  This place is way better than those overpriced high rise hotels. We love to sit outside and watch the traffic go by or walk one block to the beach. We can’t recommend this place enough! The Creamer Family

We love this Motel!!

My sister, her husband, my husband and myself all stayed 2 nights here and it was great. You cant beat the price and being 1/2 a block to the ocean. The room was a little outdated ( bubbling wall paper, old sink fixtures) but very clean. The rooms have a kitchenette which was very convenient. We did breakfast and lunch in the room and ate dinner out. I would recommend them putting paper towels or napkins in the room. They did provide dishes, dish rag and dish soap. The beds were comfortable.  The water pressure was great in the shower however the temperature kept changing which was annoying.  The pool is a good size with chairs around it. It is well kept and clean. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.  We were able to check in early the day of arrival which was great. It is a 15 min drive to the boardwalk but its cheaper to drive and pay for parking then to take the shuttle anyway. I would definitely stay again if we come to O.C. overnight again. Overall great weekend trip. 

Weekend in O.C.

Compact clean room with kitchen amenities with none of the old worn out motel odor. Great beach a block behind the motel. Front desk lady was very helpful and helped us check in early. This motel made our short stay memorable in ocean city.
