This place is excellent, we will most definitely stay here again, room was absolutely wonderful, nice big porch/balcony to sit on, for people watching or taking a breather from the kiddos etc. Slight view of the ocean between the big hotels in front of it. It's only a clock off the boards and beach. If stairs are an issue they have other accommodations that are ground level. Pool was wonderful. Staff is absolutely amazing. I read some not good reviews before we booked, and I will say I didn't experience any of the bad things I read about. There's hot coffee in the office available all day. If u need anything like towels to etc just ask they'll either get it to you or meet you with it.

Totally worth every penny

We stayed in one of the large apartments and it was terrible. There were 11 of us so we had the biggest apartment that fits 9 people, and also had a standard room with a queen-sized bed. The standard room was extremely small. There was trash left from previous guests, it smelled of marijuana, the table had red stains on it. The carpets were gross and looked like they haven't been vacuumed for weeks. The beds were stained and hard as a rock. The vents in the room were extremely dusty and the A/C smelled of mold and was also very dusty. The air quality here is almost certainly unhealthy. There was hot water, but it only lasted for about 3 minutes in the shower. Other guests were extremely loud and there was nothing done about it. The room didn't come with enough towels, and it took multiple calls to the front desk to get any. They ended up never actually getting to the room, so I ended up going to the front desk to get them myself. The doors didn't close properly and were paper thin. They also had very weak locks. The rooms can be easily broken into and there is no safe to put your valuables. Also keep in mind that there are no elevators, just steep stairs. The pool was gross and the concrete around it was slippery, so be careful around the pool. The hotel is also in dire need of updating, or at the least new carpet and better security. Overall, the room was disgusting and seemed like a health and safety hazard. 

The only good things about this hotel were that the staff was friendly, and the location was good, being one block off of the boardwalk. But don't let the price fool you. Spend a little extra and stay elsewhere.

This place is a health hazard.

I have been coming to OCMD for years. Quick mini trips and try to save since everything is so expensive. 
The Staff is so friendly and kind. Yes it is a little old but it's an older hotel. The room was comfortable and so was the bed which is important. Most of all it was NOT dirty at all. We were comfortable here. IF you want a low cost nice place to stay, come.

Very nice for the price

The only reason we ended up staying here is because when our week long reservation was up at another hotel,we weren't ready to go home, and they had no vacancies. We should've just gone home! Our room was filthy,stinky...just gross! My husband found weed in the top of the closet and some clothes that belonged to the previous people. The pull out couch was beyond disgusting! Thank goodness we had sleeping bags in the car,so my kids didnt have to sleep directly on the "bed". We had no hot water in our room...NONE!!! I had some random guy knock on our door looking to buy drugs from the previous occupant. Later that evening the cops were there bc of the same guy. The "pool" was so tiny, it's like the size of a baby pool. My kids couldn't even stay in it long bc of the rowdy heathens that were jumping, splashing,and fighting with each other all while unsupervised. One kid got out and peed right on the pool deck! Thank goodness we were only there for 2 nights! I picked this place bc it's cheap, close to the boardwalk and rides and we stayed here a few times when I was a kid. The place obviously hasn't been renovated since at least the 80's. Also, there is no elevator or luggage cart. We were on the 3rd floor and had to lug everything up and then down. The ONLY positives about this place is the front desk people were nice, our room had a balcony with chairs, which was really nice for my husband and I to sit on after the kids went to bed, the location and price. I'm sad to see a good childhood memory trashed.

Dirty,Extremely Oudated Room

When my husband and I got to the room, we found a dirty shirt on a chair. We asked to the staff to take away that shirt. They were so nice and picked it up. When we checked the room we realized that there were water stains in the ceiling, the microwave was dirty and the bath was awful. We were so excited to be there that we didn't care and we went out during the rest of the day. At night when we went to bed, I realized that the bed was wet and the sheets had stains. What a disgusting experience! Fortunately, we had our own sheets and we used it during that and the next night. If you are planning to go to Ocean City and you don't care about the room, this place is perfect for you because it's pretty close to the boardwalk. For me, the place where I stay is part of my vacation experience, so I'll never come back to this place again!

Old, dirty room and the bed was wet

Staff was kind but the place is awe full.  Rooms smell of cigarettes mold and mildew   Phone isn’t even hooked up to complain.  Found a weed pen and a devils symbol in the nightstand. Police were there the first day for what appeared to be some sort of stand off.  Younger people at the pool blasting a radio most of the day and no one seemed to care   Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.   Have one night left and want to cancel and leave now.

Terrible

This hotel is good for its price. Everytime there was a complaint or problem they never had a solution. Cops were there everyday, no hot water, dirty rooms, only good thing was the front desk niceness. I tried asking for the bigger boss and there was “none”.

Not good for a stress free time.

They were very friendly and accommodating. When I asked if we could check in early, they allowed me to park my car there and walk around the boardwalk until the room was ready. The room was average, bed could have been comfier. Not bad overall. 

Nice little place

We LOVE the staff here. Our favorite thing to do each year is visit with the staff that checks us in. Very friendly and great sense of humor. Makes us feel safe & at home while on vacation. Very clean rooms with plenty of room for your family! This is where we stay yearly, for our friend vacation & with our children! Easily a 5++ Star!

Clean atmosphere & friendly staff!

Near the Boardwalk which was nice but couldn't control the a/c, no hot water in shower, had to ask for blankets several times before getting any.  Basic tiny room with no amenities. Nice pool though...
