We had a great stay here! I have never felt more welcomed and comfortable at a hotel, especially in a busy place like Ocean City. The staff was super friendly and courteous, room clean and comfortable and location perfect. Will definitely stay again!

Great place to stay in OC

The cleanest hotel I've been to. Also very friendly staff and specially the owner. I will come back. I love this place. Excellent location. I have stayed in many places in Ocean City. By far this is my favorite hotel now. No problems parking and very close to the boardwalk. Very good rates

Very clean and organized.

We felt like we stayed with our grandmother here at King Charles! They were so kind giving us great recommendations for dinner, and greeting us with fresh snickerdoodle cookies in the evening when we came back from watching the fireworks on the beach. The room was VERY clean with fresh linens and bedspread. The porch was huge! I enjoyed reading out there in the morning. We will certainly return again!! 

Awesome beach hotel!!

This will be the 12th year in a row my wife and I will be staying at the King Charles Hotel. Very simply put, the reason why is comfort. My wife is comfortable here. I am comfortable here. We feel valued and safe. We can RELAX on vacation. As you probably have read from the numerous other reviews, this place is beyond clean, so if you have any post-COVID concerns, stay here and don't worry about it. We have never had an experience at any other hotel like we have had here. The owner takes pride in her establishment and in her guests enjoyment while on vacation. She always has a smile on her face and engages her guests as they come and go. She seems to have first hand knowledge of everything in OCMD, from restaurants and shopping to where the fish are biting! She is also extremely flexible with arrangements. One year we didn't get there until after 11pm and she waited until we got checked in. She has the coffee daily, and the after dinner brownies or cookies which she bakes on site. This also makes them near impossible to ignore as the aroma fills the lobby. ;) This hotel does not have an elevator, or breakfast, or a pool, or a hundred other things that the larger chain hotels may have, but we couldn't care less. The King Charles is affordable, CLEAN, quiet, and in a fantastic location. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this establishment is, it is our home while on vacation. Home on Vacation

We were in a pinch to find a place and found the King Charles at the last minute. Yes, we were concerned. We were incredibly surprised and happy with this place and the staff. The room was good, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The cookies and brownies were YUM! Off street parking was a big bonus.

Pleasantly surprised, definitely worth staying here.

We recently just stayed here and let me tell you I loved it here! The feel of the hotel was quite homey (the best sleep I’ve gotten on trips), parking is in the back of the hotel (a little cramped but worth it). The owner was very nice and they have overnight security. I would definitely stay here again next time we’re here. 

Great place to stay

Rooms are reasonable to be a block from the beach.Always clean and owner is very pleasant.Rooms are small however with no kitchen and one dining table near beds.Front porch makes you feel very much at home even though it is on a busy road with constant traffic.Good walking distance to beach and boardwalk if you plan on not driving your car everyday.

Comfy

We stayed for 3 nights in a queen bed room and were very pleased with this hotel! The staff and owner were extremely nice and helpful. The room was much more spacious than the pictures show. There were individual AC units and a fan in the room which were great for the hot weekend. This hotel is minutes away from the beach and is in a great location with a pizza place right behind the building. We would 100% stay here again.

Great weekend get away!

Found this place last minute for a weekend getaway to the beach. The property was great. One block from the beach, everything was clean and neat and the staff was wonderful. There were fresh cookies and brownies in the lobby every day, which my son loved.

Lovely,Cozy, Hotel located one block from beach and boardwalk. Owner are very nice and accommodating. They bake cookies and brownies on different nights. Coffee and tea is out throughout the day. Plenty of places to eat nearby. My family enjoyed staying here and can't wait to go back.
