I needed an inexpensive place to stay for a few hours to sleep on a long road trip. This fit the bill. I was a little concerned after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised! The room was clean (it did have an odd smell, but I think it was the cleaning products used) and the room was in good shape. Bed was fairly comfortable. The AC was a bit loud and kept shutting off and on. It was probably on auto fan but I was too tired to get up and change it. The only concerning thing was there wasn’t a cover on the smoke alarm and I’m not sure if it was working, this could be a safety issue! The area was quiet, which was nice considering the parking lot was full, so I’m assuming the hotel was pretty booked! Several fast food joints near by for a quick bite before hitting the road. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone needing a place to rest!

Good Stay

Ashley at the desk went above and beyond!  Very pleasant and personable.  Our first stay at a motel 6. Rooms were clean and updated could still use some work especially in the bathroom. The water was hot and I have to say the towels were the softest of any hotel I've been to. 

No complaints

This is decent for the price. I was a t SPIRE for a function, and the location is great - right across the street. The downside is the condition of the hotel - it needs renovated. The furnishings are getting dated, the place needs painted, the fixtures, particularly in the bathroom, need updated and replaced. The hallways are dingy and unappealing, but the room was decent. Can't comment on the lobby (closed due to COVID) but overall, not bad for the money. If they renovated and updated, this place could be very nice.

Needs renovated

This place is just disgusting. Health dept needs to just burn this place to the ground! It was just me, my husband, my 3 month old and my 2 year old. We stopped for a couple hours of sleep & I couldn’t even sleep because I just kept thinking of the worst. This place isn’t even worth the $63 not at all!!!!!!!!!!!

Listen, pictures on the internet of these rooms have to be photoshopped. I wasn’t expecting much because I didn’t pay that much however, pictures made this place look clean. My stay determined that was a lie. Pros are cost and location. That’s it. 

Dirty 

getting to Motel 6 was EASY PEASY---got off the thruway and right across the street---there it was.
gal that checked us in---Brittany---was most pleasant & helpful. when I asked where Spire was, she nicely said: "turn to your left  and see that building in the back?"
I said yes, and she said: "that's it!" and then proceeded to tell me how to get there. and I must say, it was EASY PEASY.
before taking the ride to really check out Spire---granddaughter had a swim meet--- hubby & I went to check our room.  I must say,  it was very clean, spacious and comfortable.
my only suggestion was for a grab bar in the bathtub to make entering & exiting EASY PEASY.
there is no breakfast, but there is free coffee and free newspaper.  however, and this is a HUGE however,  your room key can be used next door at Best Friends Restaurant for 15% off your bill. cool.
would we stay there again? ABSOLUTELY!

EASY PEASY

This motel has a great location that is within minutes to some of the most popular wineries in the area. With ride sharing options in the area not being very reliable, I was hoping this motel would suffice for a night. Obviously, I was not expecting a 5 star hotel, but based on the pictures this motel appeared clean enough for a one night stay. However, upon entry into the motel itself it stunk of cigarette and gym socks. As we moved into our actual room, there was no difference, even though our room was "non-smoking". The room reminded me of a dirty recreation center bathroom in which you didn't want to touch anything, or even walk around without flip flops on. The bed consists of just a mattress, no box spring, so not comfortable at all. The pillows are like laying your face in one massive ash tray, with every toss and turn it kicks up a fresh wiff of cigarette in your face. We only stayed one night and nearly left at 3am just to get out of there. Everything we brought stunk of cigarette smoke by the time we left. The extra $50 for other options in the area is well worth it, unfortunately everything was booked as this was a last minute trip.

1 Star for location

I normally avoid this chain because of past experience with quality. However, to my extreme surprise this one was very well kept. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The rooms were large and spacious. I like the fact they had hardwood floors instead of carpeting.  Their website didn't mention it but the room did have a mini fridge and microwave as well. The location is right off an exit. We spent the night there so we could attend the Great Lakes Medieval Fair which was approximately 6 miles away. I would recommend this hotel and will book again next year.

Very Surprised at the Quality

My wife and I stayed for the night for my high school reunion. The hotel was very clean and nicely furnished. The mattress was too firm for me, but that's a personal choice. Just know that they are firm. All of the rooms have their own little patio, which is a nice addition.

Great for the price

Stayed here for about 4 days and I was very pleased with everything. The room wasn’t bad. Kinda dated but for the price it serves its purpose. The check in was quick, staff were friendly and helpful. I didn’t bring a dog but there’s doggy stations with baggies for them to potty. There’s a lovely diner next door. I only gave 4 stars because the bathroom tub was kinda grimy and the water pressure is low but I would definitely stay again the next time I’m in Geneva.
