I checked in for one night while I was in transit home from another event.  They advertise as a "pet friendly" hotel - and then charge you a pet deposit for EACH pet - for a one night stay, I paid $60.00 for two dogs.  As if that weren't bad enough, when I got to the room, the paint was peeling in the bathroom and the wall was cracked.  I paid $173.80 for a one night stay and that was with a military discount - This place is nothing special to charge that kind of money - and charging a pet charge per pet for a one night stay is just ridiculous!

Don't stay here if you have somewhere else you can stay!

Not worth the $140 price paid on a Monday night - especially since this place looks like an abandoned property. Made non-refundable reservation based on claimed amenities: Restaurant on site - there used to be. It doesn't appear it's been opened in years, now it's full of junk; Hot breakfast - yeah, if you heat the pre- packaged sandwich (which was actually pretty good); fitness center - almost every door everywhere other than the guest rooms had "out of order" signs taped to them, including lobby restroom which, based on past reviews, looks like it has been for quite some time.
But, our room was large well furnished and comfortable. Ideal location to the turnpike. Front desk staff were friendly.
The positives make this an $80 property. I should have consulted TripAdvisor prior to booking.

Not worth the cost

I would like to give this place a zero or negative score. 
I had the worst experience of my lodging life at this hotel - Quality Inn on Port Clinton RD, Fremont, OH. 
After getting into bed I felt my back was damp. I checked it out and my pajamas and back were soaked. I was lying in a pool of urine. Disgusting doesn't come close to my reaction. Since it was 9:30 pm I had little choice but to change to another room at the same Quality Inn. I took a bath and bagged my clothes. On checking out the next day, I was informed that the credit card had already been run. Of course, I assumed that the cost of the stay would be fully refunded and some sort of apology and explanation would be provided. Instead, the very helpful front desk referred me to the manager, Tej who avoided my calls and never called me back. Eventually, he told the front office staff to offer a $58 return on my card. The cost of the stay was $158. 

When you call them to lodge a complaint, Quality Inn suggests you pay a fee to talk with a lawyer (that they refer you to). Wow. 

Frankly, I can’t believe this happened nor can I believe the total disregard of the event by Quality. 

I also spoke with Choice which is somehow over Quality. They listened, but offered only $100 compensation for my $158 experience. 

This was such a horrible experience.

Urine

Hotel is way out of date and dirty in many areas. Long time to get hot water and the cold water was never cold - put glasses of water in frig to get cold water. Apparently some fixup work started as some areas blocked off with yellow tape.
 No vending machines at all. Breakfast ok but sparse - no tv in breakfast area which actually is main lobby - awkward. Location is right along turnpike so some traffic noise.

renovation needed

We stopped in here for an overnight stay during a long drive. We called ahead and we were told that a reservation wasn't necessary, as the hotel wasn't very busy.

Upon arrival, we had a smooth check-in and the front desk clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us a choice of rooms, either 1 king or 2 queens, but the 1 king room was on the second floor - and there is no elevator here. So, since my wife was feeling a bit under the weather, we opted for the 2 queens on the first floor.

After we got to the room and got settled in, we received a call from the front desk asking if everything was OK with the room. That's something that I haven't had happen in any of my other hotel stays, anywhere. A very nice touch! Wish more hotels did that.

The room was clean and tidy. The HVAC had a constant-on setting, which is something we like. We could hear our neighbors occasionally, though, and since we were on the side facing the Ohio Turnpike, the traffic could be heard a bit as well... even with the HVAC running. There was plenty of hot water with no fluctuations. 

This is a pretty large hotel, with the rooms spread out over three "areas". We were in the C section, so it was a bit of a walk to the front desk. Not a big deal for us, but like the lack of elevator, keep that in mind. You CAN drive from the main entrance to the entrances for the A, B, or C areas, which does help a bit.

The hotel is undergoing a bit of a renovation project in the corridors, so it's got the "under construction" look. Also, there aren't any food places close by, but there are plenty about 5-10 minutes away.

We did not try the breakfast, and it was picked up by the time we got to the lobby.

Not a bad stay overall.

Comfortable Visit

The lobby was dated, the carpet in the hallway was dirty and stained. Weeds were on the side of the building  along with trash. The ice maker had black stuff under the tray. Told the front desk about it, it got cleaned.  Was not happy.

Needs a major overhaul

Room was musty smelling.  Bathroom sink drain was clogged.   No elevator.  Breakfast was very minimal.  Bathrooms in lobby were padlocked.  Paid over $200.00.  Will never stay there again.  Poorly run front desk.   Internet was very poor.  Never could access.

Had better breakfast at a gas station.

The location was convenient as we were traveling and doing something in the nearby city of Tiffin. The facilities were 'weathered' but it looked like they were renovating part of the facilities.

We had an issue with some neighbors partying and being loud so that needed to be addressed, but it was right off the highway and was convenient for us. The price we got through Priceline was decent as well.

Needs updating, but an inexpensive place to stay for my family and small pet.

This is an older building, but the carpet is fairly new, the internet was not too slow and the bed had a new, very comfortable mattress (firm). Towels more like an EconoLodge than a Quality Inn. Rooms quiet and not too small.

Has seen better days, but upgraded and very clean

I asked for a different room for person reasons. The women at the front desk huffed and said she “thinks” all other room are taken. Also asked for more towel and she came with one towel. It was disappointing.
