Staff was friendly. Tony was very helpful. I was disappointed in the room compared to the advertising pics. Vanity light was not working. Cleaning people tapped it with hand to get it to work. Cover was on closet shelf. So every time you used sink you had to tap vanity light to come on. Outlet by bed would not hold charger plug. It kept falling out. There were kids running up and down hall and whoever was above me was running around. Noisy. Just as a suggestion as a retired paramedic. Tub is very very slippery. No slip mat or adhesive slip strips would be helpful. The bed was very squeaky. It was comfy but every time you moved it made noise. A channel guide would also be helpful for us out of towners.  For lobby and halls very nice and clean. Thank you.

Not what I thought

This has been my go-to hotel for several years, as I have family in the area and of the options in Jackson, this one has been the best.  The indoor pool is a big part of that, and the grandkids still love it.  But the hotel itself has really gone downhill.  The staff are very friendly and working hard, but it honestly just feels like ownership doesn't want to invest anything into the hotel.  It's very dated, and what they do have is in rough shape.  The breakfast is just sad.  The only hot option is waffles, everything is very carb heavy.  They have a few containers of yogurt, packaged donuts, some single serve cereals, and a few packets of instant oatmeal.  That's it.  The beds are small, the bathrooms have crud in the corners, the remote is held together by tape, the furnishings are old and chipped, there are no modern touches like USB ports.  And what is up with these sinks? I don't know what genius thought this up, but these were a horrible idea!  You lose a lot of counter space (of which there wasn't much in the first place), and the sink is so high that a child or disabled person will have difficulty using it.   Sad as it makes me, I think I may have to look elsewhere for my next family visit, possibly even Portsmouth or Chillicothe. 

Used to be good, but has really gone downhill.

Have had better constructed rooms, it clean.  Bathroom door hit the toilet and door to the room has big gaps weekend you could see our to the hallway. The tub felt uneven and unsupported.  The beds were ok and clean.

Ok for stay

The bed was surprising comfortable! Overall the room felt dingy, old and cramped. The bathroom and sink area were barely big enough for one person. Inadequate for 2. All in all, it was fine for one night, but I was glad that was all we were there for.

Breakfast was only waffles, and the attendant didn't seem to care that was all that was there. We were down within the first hour of breakfast beginning and there was nothing to eat other than the waffles. If you are diabetic, this is not a way to start the day with high sugar and carbs.

People at check in and check are  very nice indeed: polite and available to meet any demand. Room clean and quiete.  On the other hand I have to say that the BREAKFAST  is VERY POOR INDEED !!!!! Not acceptable for the cost you pay.

Very good location with close proximity to the major retail chains in Jackson as well as a variety of restaurants to choose from. Highly recommend staying here when traveling to or through Jackson Ohio.

Novix

On a road trip and needed a place to sleep and shower. Linens were clean, towels were clean, water was hot. It was a good place for a pitstop. The pool looked okay as we walked past. If you are looking for a five-star hotel this one is not for you. We would pitstop here again.

Road Trip Pit Stop

It's an older property, but everything was fantastic.  The rooms were clean and beds were comfy.  The pool was great, actual heated pool, not just the room.  They even had puddle jumpers available for guests to use in the pool, that was a huge benefit since we have 2 young swimmers.  Everyone was friendly and helpful during our stay.  I booked on the reservation line, then called the front desk to verify our 2 rooms were connecting, they weren't so she moved our reservation and even gave us rooms closer to the pool.  If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely stay here.
