Let’s get the obvious out of the way, this is an older property associated with a budget brand, so it’s not a 5 star property. However, it certainly earned its rating thanks to how good it is compared to the competition. I travel to Jackson to see family often and after a horrid experience at the Days Inn several years ago, we switched to Red Roof, which was good until about 2019 when it started going downhill. After a negative experience causing me to write a two star review last December, we tried the third and final hotel out, this one, and oh how I wish we had sooner. 

Grounds/Common Areas:
The parking lot is spacious with plenty of lights and doors, and the outside, while older, is well kept. The building is aged on the inside but in good condition and clean. While I didn’t make use of any of the amenities offered outside of the room, they all looked decently nice, and all of the staff were extremely friendly. One complaint is the lack of an elevator. This is probably the biggest thing they could do to improve this property.

The Room:
Upon entering the room, you’ll be in a well lit and tiled entryway, with a spacious and well equipped open closet. The door locks were recently upgraded to RFID and the latch lock worked, with a fire map present, making the room safe and secure. The restroom opened into here, with a functioning toilet, plenty of counter space, a newer sink, and plenty of clean towels. The tub/shower had some older plumbing and the nonslip mat really needed replaced, but the otherwise lack of maintenance issues was impressive for a property of this age. Moving onto the rest of the room, there were two comfy double beds with clean bed linens all around. The carpet was in excellent shape and clean, and all of the furniture looked redone. The mini fridge and microwave were a nice touch, as was the abundance of outlets, and strong HVAC. Of course, if you looked around, some permanent fixtures were obviously well worn, but nothing offensive, especially given the type of property this is. The single cleanliness issue I managed to find were crumbs in the drawers, something that even a Marriott property I was at earlier in the month couldn’t get right. 

Overall:
This property is only about $10 more than the Red Roof and well worth it. It serves its goal well, and I certainly will be a repeat customer here as it’s truthfully the only good option in town.

A Pleasant Surprise

When we first arrived everything seemed great. The lady at the front desk was very nice. The room was clean. My son went to take a bath in the jet tub and it had a cover missing on the inside of the tub, a screw is sticking out and he got his hand stuck in the hold, the suction pulled it in there. So ridiculous, I cannot even believe this happened during our travels. Construction workers seem to stay alot, tons of them coming in and out all night long. You can hear every car and person outside the windows. We will not ever be back and I hope my son will be fine as well from this traumatizing trip!!

Horrible experience!

Couldn't take a shower because the tub was disgusting. What appeared to be blood on the walls where you hang your clothes. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 10 a.m. when checkout isn't till 11 a.m. and the do not disturb sign hung on the door handle. Also, what's the deal with putting the bill under the door in the middle of the night??? Addressed complaints to lady at front desk when checking out with no response. I will be calling corporate as the amount charged my debit card was $10.35 more then the amount on the bill slipped under the door. Was told the $10.35 was a holding fee by my bank and will drop off. Room was definitely not worth $117. Extremely disappointed disgusted and mad!

Disgusting place to stay

We looked for a place to stay in Jackson, OH on our way through, and this one seemed to have good reviews.  I am not sure why.  When we checked in, the first words out of the young man behind the desk was, "Can I see your ID?"  I relied, "You MAY."  But there was not a smile, nor words of welcome, not helpful advice as where to park or how to get to our room, from him.  I had to ask.  This was my first clue that Quality Inns are not managed well or monitored.  
There are no elevators in this facility, so we parked in the back and came in through the back stairways.  I could not believe how dirty it looked.
Then we get to our room.  60 F. frigid.  Cobwebs on the window and the wooden sill looked water-worn.
Our phone had a blinking red light flashing, as it there was a message for us.  So, my wife called the front desk, and the young man said he would come to check it out; but he never did.
ON the positive side, the bathroom was clean and had a nice long tub.  And the bed was comfortable.
When we checked out, an obese man with a t-shirt came to the desk, without a smile or "Good morning".
We were rested, but it was not due to the service or facility.

Disappointed with facility and service

Having traveled a good portion of the day from Fayetteville, NC, on my way to Peru, IN., I got off the interstate looking for the first available hotel - wrong move, should have kept going!  From the outside it looks like your typical mid-range hotel, but oh my, not so much on the inside.  There was an indescribable odor when stepping inside the room, I could determine if it was aerosol cover up odor spray, mold or animal urine!  There was a terrible dampness about the room, but I couldn't decide if it was from the AC unit or possible water damage coming from the rooms up above as there was signs of some type of water damage to the ceiling around the edges where the walls meet the ceiling.  Forget about the continental breakfast, they haven't served one there in quite sometime even though the facilities are there, I suppose it's due to COVID

Well there aren't too many selections in the area but this was a nice stopover while driving from northern Illinois to North Carolina.

The hotel was well cleaned and had comfortable beds. You can't ask for much more than that for a roadside stopover. 

My only complaint is that the property didn't have a crib/pack and play available. When we travel with our little one we usually don't bother hauling it with us because every other hotel I've stayed at has had them available. I asked when we checked in and the clerk told me they had one but it was stolen and needed to be replaced. This is a very small hotel and like I said there isn't too much around, so I can't imagine its a request they get too often. Not a huge deal though, we made it through. We just ended up getting a room with two beds and made due.

We would stop here again on a future trip through the area!

Nicely maintained older property

We stayed in order to be able to make 11am appointment next day due to the inclement weather.  The room was clean, well kept and reasonably updated. A pleasant quiet atmosphere.  Food delivery readily available.  Coffee and tea readily available in room. Microwave and refrigerator provided. Casey, evening hotelier, not only made our reservation but also checked us in and assured everything we needed was available.  Parking lot had been salted before we left. 
For anyone seeking clean, reasonably priced accommodation in Jackson this motel is it.

Lovely clean motel

I have stayed at many Quality Inn properties with work travel and I usually seek out Quality Inn hotels.  This location gets a strong FAIL!! 
Gig List: 
* Multiple ceiling stains from??? Perhaps leaky roof as my room was on second floor.
* Brewed my cup of coffee on the floor due to 
dead socket at coffee station.
* Mold as well as a couple coats of paint on and around smoke alarm.
* Mold around non-slip surface in bath tub.
* Limited cable, very limited television selection.
Unfortunately I can only put three photos up, I do have more.  The tragedy is that the guy at the Front Desk had no desire to make this right in any way.  He handed me the Business Manager's card upon request.  The advertised Continental Breakfast was closed, I suspect Covid shut down but all I was told was, "uh yea,.... breakfast is shut down."  
I'm in disbelief, amazed, confused, how I mean HOW can this sort of customer service exist, particularly at almost $100.00 a night?0???

Obviously I paid for my night and cancelled the remaining reservation.

$95.00 Ripoff w/ no price concessions 

All who Wander are Not Lost. We were traveling to Scottsdale and decided to wander the country along the way. We had no plans until we became tired and hungry. I checked for a place to settle in. This Quality Inn popped up on my screen and it was the closest place so in we went.  Bobbie Jo was at the desk. What a great lady. Got us all taken care of. She was just a delight, one of those people you can chat with so easily. She helped us with a restaurant choice as we talked about life. The hotel was perfect. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Since we travel with bikes on the back of our van we are always concerned about security. The lighting around this hotel was amazing. Overall we had a great evening and a good dinner at Arch and Eddies in Jackson, Ohio. Thanks.

My friend and I (two ladies in our 60’s) stayed here for two nights. We were very pleased with the room and the service. Staff were wonderful. Friendly and helpful. I left a note about a knob being off a drawer and when we came back from an outing it was fixed with a note of apology. Our room was made up the next day while we were out and everything was very clean and fresh. Water pressure was great and the shower head was amazing. The tub can be slippery when entering it but there is a grab handle. The mattresses were foam and very comfortable. We loved the pillows. They were fluffy but did not go flat. Location was very good. I would definitely recommend this motel and look forward to returning.
