ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! The rooms are filthy and dilapidated, as well as smelling like a mixture of cigarette smoke and mildew. The doors don't work, as they issue key cards that look like they're years old. The outside is run down as well. Beer cans and bottles laying around everywhere. It also appears that there are people living there. I was only there 10 minutes and saw a number of people hanging around that were obviously high or drunk. It probably had bugs too, but I didn't even bother to inspect closer as the level of filth and the smell is apparent before you even step fully into the room (assuming you were able to actually get the door open). The best part is that they absolutely refuse to give a refund, stating that I need to call the place that I booked the room with (Hotels.com, who then in turn told me that I needed to get a refund from the hotel).Hopefully this place gets shut down before someone gets robbed, raped, or worse.

Great Place if you enjoy filth and being around drug addicts....

Just to be nice, if I had to compare sleeping on the streets next to strangers, with no bed, privacy and a place to shower, then I would be grateful to stay here if someone offered. Other than that....NO WAY.

Bad sign #1 - When I pulled into the parking lot, the motel sign is missing - so it looks vacant.

Bad sign #2 - When I walked into the lobby to the front desk, there is a mop and mop bucket sitting there, mop leaning up agains the desk. Stacks and stacks of paper work was sitting on the front desk, and behind the desk. There were SO many hand written policy's taped to the desk and walls about Refund policy's (or the lack of them apparently lol) It was so unprofessional and tacky.

Bad sign #3 - Bless his heart, and no offense, but the man at the front desk was dressed as if he were the maintenance man, or the guy who fixes everything around the place. Definitely not what you would expect to see when checking into a motel.

Bad sign #4 - As I walked up the steps to my room, there was man sitting on the steps smoking and drinking. I had to pass him just to get up the steps. The steps were very dirty, very rusty, had horrible stains of urine, and looked as if someone poured their drink all over it. Yet, there was still someone sitting on them - so...I was alone, and I did not feel safe or comfortable.

Bad sign #5 - When I walked into the room, I just stood there and paused. I felt like I stepped in the a weird 80's movie, and the joke was on me. The room was oddly orange. The beds looked So Extremely questionable, they didn't seem clean, and I cringed at the thought of laying on them, let alone putting my face on the pillows. One of the pillows they stuffed in the pillow case was so small, that it took only half of the space in it. It was crazy! 
The desk they had the tv on had holes and was badly worn. When I turned on the TV, it had a message on the screen that said service was interrupted - I don't know what that meant, but I only had like 3 or 4 stations that worked, all the stations had the message appear.
The Bathroom - gross. The shower was tiled and you could see grime and dirt inside the cracks - a lot of it. The wall behind the toilet was exposed and gross. 
The picture they have posted on the website is not accurate to what was actually in the room. At the sink, there was 1 face towel folded in a triangle, with 2 tiny bars of soap on it. There was an ice bucket. That's it. 
There was no tissue box, or coffee pot, or lotion/soap/shampoo like they have on the photo.
So I'd had enough. I called hotwire, and told them I needed to cancel, told them it was not safe, I am a woman traveling alone and there was a man outside close to my door (you know the guy on the steps...yea him, he was still there when I went to check out) So they called the front desk and told them I was checking out. Call took about 20-25 minutes. But when I went to return the key, I didn't have any trouble or attitudes about leaving. When the guy at the front desk asked what was the problem, I mentioned the lack of safety I felt, and he shook his head in agreement, like he already knew it was an issue. 

The rate I had was $39 a night, after this experience, I wouldn't stay there if it was free. To bad 1 is the lowest score, I would rate -10.

REVIEW: DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!

I arrived late night after a long drive, was sssllloooowwwwlly checked in and went straight to bed. 
In the morning I noticed the shower/tub had no knob/handle on it to turn it on.
Housekeeping arrived and daid they had no idea why the gave me this room.  Stopped at the front desk on my way out.  They noted housekeeping told them the shower was inoperable, but they offer nothing. NOt even an apology.

Having a fabulous stay! The rooms are beautifully   remodeled, and the pool is awesome... the staff are all very nice and helpful! Hotel is walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping is also near by! I will definitely be staying here again!!

The rooms are good sized, clean (new paint and floors), the staff is very helpful, and the rates are great. the rooms include a microwave and mini fridge, NICE! I have enjoyed my stay here at the Motel 6 in Mason Ohio.

Okay, so my husband booked this room for me through Expedia while I was traveling with a bunch of kids and 2 dogs.  It was booked on the day I needed to stay, so there probably wasn't a ton of options and the rates were probably higher than normal, this place is not worth $75 a night after taxes, NOT EVEN CLOSE. 

When we arrived there were very few rooms available, because they are remodeling.  Then when they found out we had the dogs, we couldn't stay in only one building and it was even harder for them to find us a room.

The very nice man at the front desk was gruff at first, but then ended up being helpful and accommodating and that is the only reason why I stayed there because it's only a 3 hour drive home for us, we could have just drove the rest of the way.

Really, driving home probably would have been the better choice.   The hotel room was pretty much in need of remodel.  I won't say any more than that, because, you never know.  I may need to stay there again and if I give them a 1 star, that would be pretty embarrassing at check in. 

I mean, I think they know that this motel needs major work and they are in the process of a remodel so, just take all that in to consideration.  I will reserve further judgement of this place after the renovations are complete.
