Very rude owner. Poorly run manager The internet ad says pets welcome.  It their Facebook add says pets cost$50 extra.  Came to my room and told me to leave or they would call the police He  finally accepted my money.  Said he couldn’t change his ad on the internet.  No soap in the room  worst motel ever. I stayed there two times before and they did not charge for little dog.  Never again

Majestic motel Lakeside Ohio

It’s a great place to stay for fishermen. They have a place to plug your boat into and the rooms were very clean. The beds are comfortable. It’s located within one miles of the boat ramp. It has a refrigerator and a microwave and a keurig coffee pot.

Fishermen’s dream

I stayed here a Fri/Sat Nite in Sep-21.  Cash Price was only $70 per nite, one of the best values in the area. It was a small single room with a small bathroom and only one table.  But for the price, I didn't mind.  It was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Management didn't mind that I pulled in my Lawn Chair + one of their two Patio Chair Outside to use in my room to hold my luggage. No problem. Great Kitchen area (esp. for fishermen) with full size Fridge & Kitchen Sink.  Also a K-Cup Machine, but you need to bring your own coffee.  I was very pleased overall, and will likely stay again if I venture to Marblehead.

Clean, Cheap, and Close to Most Everything

Made a reservation because a friend told me he stayed there last year. When I got there the key was on the bed, no one at window. The bed was broken, bedspread dirty and stained, carpet wet and dirty, bathroom was disgusting tub moldy shower curtain gross. Left key on bed and left, went to holiday inn for 15 more dollars. More secure and free breakfast. Can't give lower than a one star but I would if I could!!!

Rundown!

A friend of mine and I came to the area to fish on Erie. All we wanted was a place to rest our eyes. That's basically what you get here for $72 a night. We never talked to a soul there, door was open and keys were on the bed.  The room smelled of stagnant cigarette smoke, but the shower was hot, the TV worked, and we had a coffee maker with coffee and cups. Good enough for one night, probably wouldn't do multiple nights.

If you're coming to fish, it will do. 

Have been reading all the negative reviews regarding the Majestic in Marblehead and just had to add my two cents worth!  First of all you must realize that this is a little local owned motel that caters mostly to the fishermen in the area.  You are not at the Embassy Suites or even the Holiday Inn!  So don't expect lavish luxury.  My friend and I have been going back to the Majestic time and again for about the last 10 years.  Close to Put In Bay and all the area sites.  We have never had anything negative happen to us while at the Majestic and the folks are really friendly.  As a matter of fact we we're there just last weekend for July 4th and some friends from work we're with us.  We had a blast.   Oh, by the way,  bring your pets - They are WELCOME.

A Fun, Quirky  Mom & Pop Place!

Our experience at majestic motel was frightening. I didn't expect too much based on pictures and previous reviews but I expected to be able to feel safe in a clean room and sleep comfortably through the night. My husband and I reserved a room for 3 nights to plan a trip to cedar point. After doing lots of research on motels offered around the area, we decided on staying here because we didn't want to spend 80 dollars a night. Although the staff seemed nice over the phone, we arrived late to our room after leaving the park and had contacted the office to make sure we would be able to check in. When we arrived there around 11pm we found the office closed and a note on the office window with our last name that basically said our room was room 6, it was unlocked and keys were on the bed. So far, not off to a good start, but it was an independently owned mom and pop motel so we shook that off. We went in the room and it truly makes a microtel room look like a suite. The ceiling fan made a loud buzzing noise, the guest "directory" was a three ring binder with typed pages of places to eat, fish, etc. The pages were crusted with filth from who knows how long ago. No deadbolt to lock The door, dirty comforter with cigarette holes, the bed was sitting in top of a 2x4 and the room smelled of stagnant smoke. The toilet was sitting on exposed subflooring with a dirty plunger next to it and the bathroom was smaller than my closet at home. There is no where to sit anything beside the poor excuse for a sink, not even a toothbrush. If we hadn't received 2 full beds, we wouldn't have had anywhere to sit our things at all.
Again, not expecting fancy but clean and safe at the least. Above the toilet there was a window, and the curtains that covered all 3 of the Windows in our room left gaps where, from an angle someone would be able to see in, the bathroom curtains were paper thin.  After a long day driving and walking cedar park, a shower would have been nice but I felt uncomfortable. The biggest concern we had was while unloading our suitcases at 1130 at night, a car pulls into a closed business across the road from our motel. A younger, sketchy guy got out, crossed the street and went into his room (2 doors down from our room). We could hear him yelling in his room...almost gave us the impression he was living there. When I decided to finally take a shower the man in the room next to us was hitting his wall (as if telling me to be quiet)...long story short, creepy, not clean, wouldn't recommend ever. We checked out and went to motel 6 for 10 more a night and have had a great experience here.

This place will only do in a pinch!

Found on travelocity, paid $72 for one night. Never saw owner, had no coffee cups for coffee (went to the market) . Needed more blankets for the chily night...is close to a lot and tucked away. Towels were clean, shower small.. Don't forget yoyr shampoo, hair drier and soap Not worth $72... Maybe $40
