The manager offered me a great rate.  Check in was easy…the room was nice, clean and quite..the hot breakfast was very good especially the cinnamon rolls!!  Check out was also easy…the staff was friendly and efficient.

The room was clean and comfortable.  The two biggest issues were they were remodeling the lobby area.  Maybe they should have closed to do this.  The area was in disarray.  The other issue was the road noise.  Interstate is not far from the hotel and you could hear the traffic from the early morning on.

Bad location and a remodel makes for an average stay.

This hotel was booked for me by the company that hired me to come down to Marion, OH. The hotel is tucked back behind Lowe's so you have to look a bit to find it. The location is quiet and the facility is the usual hotel that you'd expect. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Lots of choices and everything was very tasty. There is a pool but I did not visit it.

Quick Business Trip

We stopped here while traveling. It is a great place to stop and stayed for the night. The staff was friendly and very helpful with any information that we need it. The room was spacious and the hotel was clean. The free breakfast was good and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. We would stay here again if we were traveling through.

Would stay here again

The room smelled fresh and clean when we arrived. It appeared to have recent updates, especially with the bathroom fixtures and shower stall. Our room had a small fridge and a keurig coffee maker. One weird thing is there was no place to hang clothes. No closet, wardrobe or the whatever. An ironing board was leaning in the corner and was out of place among the flat screen tv and lighting fixtures with usb ports. Our room was also across from the ice machine, so a heads up that you might want to ask for a room down the hall from it. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Clean and updated rooms

This is the 3rd visit to a HIE this summer and by far my best experience.  We were there with a group and everyone was greeted with a smile. It was clear they were understaffed but all the bases were covered quickly. Sandy on the front desk was a bright light, always welcoming us back “home.”  Rooms were clean when we arrived and were not serviced during our stay. This was explained when we arrived and was fine. Fresh towels were available whenever we wanted. Breakfast buffet was abundant but a few days it was being staffed by the woman at the front desk. She did a phenomenal job given the circumstances. 

My last review of the Auburn,Indiana HIE was very critical of the on-site manager. HI reached out to me immediately and has hopefully corrected the problem. That manager was very rude, totally unhelpful and unpleasant. The Marion staff was the extreme opposite and totally what I expect of the HIE brand. Thank you for a great stay.

The best stay I’ve had this summer!

Check in was easy.  The room was very clean, quite and nice.  It went down hill fast in the morning...the elevator didn't work...at breakfast they had NO milk, NO  OJ, NO Oatmeal, NO cinnamon rolls.. their answer the truck will be here tomorrow. Then after I was already checked out and ready to leave I noticed my hotel receipt had someone else name on it!!!

Ohio Travel

We stopped at 9 pm after 11 hours of driving with no reservation.  The front desk was very helpful and got us a requested first floor room. The room had been updated and was spacious and clean. There was extra coffee pods for the morning and in spite of COVID, they served a decent breakfast. There was a good variety and they had Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches in warmers for something warm. The hotel is situated far enough from the road and highway that it was very quiet. A good value.

This hotel actually lied to me on the phone when I called to ask cancelation policy. When I called and asked if I could still cancel or did I need to come check in to avoid fees, they told I could cancel. Then two days later I saw they billed $220 to my credit card. I called to ask how to fix it and the manager said she could do nothing because IHG corporate billed me the fees. Turns out that was a second lie. When I got corporate involved, they found the fees where charged locally by this hotel. Multiple lies from one facility. Telling the truth either time would have resulted in things getting fixed. But now this is going to cost them a lot more than $220 to deal with.

Lied to over and over again

The hotel is very nice, very clean, newer, etc.   The breakfast area is shut down.   When I was in town, food and dining were a big issue with only fast food drive through available...... The hotel desk people were very helpful and were doing their best....

I would definitely stay here again!!
