it was a little out of the way, but very much worth the money. although, $80 for the night was, in my opinion, reasonably priced for how clean, neat, and quiet it was. it is in a really great location for food, shopping, etc. i definitely,  would stay again.

What a gem of a place! We visited Edmond as our son is studying at the Oklahoma Christian university and this was an absolute brilliant find.  
A family run hotel and has a warm personal welcoming feel. Mike and his family were the kindest and friendliest of hosts and actually went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.  
We initially intended to only stay a few nights but quickly decided to extend our booking as the room was in a perfect location with fast food outlets and shopping close by and also the room itself was spotless and cleaned daily with change of towels / toiletries etc.  
honestly can’t fault the place.  Free parking, free WiFi, and the other facilities were more than adequate. 
Thank you Mike and team.  You are all a credit to Edmond hospitality sector and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.  See you again for his graduation ! X

A family run gem with the perfect family at the heart of it !

We have stayed at the Stratford House Inn in Edmond several times, most recently twice this month. The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful, the price is moderate, there is a simple breakfast buffet, wifi is strong, the beds are comfortable, and the location is good. We will definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay in Oklahoma City area!

Our room was simple, but fine.  The proprietor accommodated our request for a ground floor room.  Thank you to him!  Pillows could use some updating.  If you're fussy about toiletries, bring your own.  But for the price, we couldn't ask for more.

Surprisingly nice

This non-chain "no frills" motel was great!  Based on the reviews here I decided to take a chance and was glad that I did.

Motel is located in a decent area where we felt safe.  Within walking distance (and I walked a few miles in the morning) there is a Chick-fil-a, Hobby Lobby and Burger King.  A short drive away (5 min or less) is a Whataburger.  

Check-in was quick and efficient and the guy checking us in was very friendly.

Our room was clean, large, comfortable and modern, though I did feel like the mattress wasn't very firm and I would end up kind of dipping down in the middle (if that makes sense).  Shower and toilet had good water pressure.

Breakfast  dining area was quite small and was right off of the lobby.  Everything was clean and there was a hand sanitizer by the serving counter.   Not a lot of choices but enough for me as there were the DIY waffles. 
 I also noticed there were 3 cereal choices plus instant oatmeal, pre-packaged blueberry muffins, OJ and apple juice, coffee/tea.

Great overall experience, price is definitely a bonus!  Will definitely stay here again when traveling to Texas!

Pleasantly Surprised!

I'm single and felt completely safe with lit-up parking at night. Completely pleased with location. Great shopping & restaurants nearby.  Excellent internet, pristine clean, large room with a mini-sofa and desk area, microwave, comfortable bed and pillows.  Nice, easy-access to enclosed vending machines and ice machine, as well as a washer and dryer.  Great (free) waffle, cereal, and packaged pastries very breakfast. 
 Friendly staff. 100% recommend!  Very pleased. I'll be back when I'm in the Oklahoma City/Edmond, OK area.  Highly recommend!

Best! Experience! Ever!

Clean, friendly, good coffee, close to U of Central Oklahoma.  If my child goes to this university, this will be my place to stay for sure! Great location- many standard chain restaurants nearby but also seemed like independent restaurants too.

Would stay here again

We had an enjoyable stay at the Stratford House on 11/19/2021. The room was clean and reasonably priced, and the man at the front desk was helpful and friendly. There are chain restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We definitely recommend this motel to other travelers!

Great stay!

Very friendly staff, extra clean room. Breakfast is small, but stay was great. Special thanks goes to Mike who worked out my reservation problems. A very Professional Individual. Constant updates, and attention to the property. We booked a extra night, because we could and liked our experience. Wished everyone was like the Strat !

Excellent Stay !

Stayed here because of price, location and great reviews. There are many bonuses for staying here, room seemed clean, no weird smell, owner was very kind. However, after returning home we have bed bug bites. I have reached out to the owner. We also found a crunchy bug in the middle of the bathroom floor-wasn’t sure if it was a small roach or a beetle. I saw a bug on a towel in the bathroom and thought it was a tic but I’m realizing now it may have been a bed bug.
