I'm a local who stayed three nights at The Olympia Inn while having some work done on my house.  It was me and my three dogs.  First of all, I want to say that the mattress(es) in the room were both nice and firm--and nearly as good as my expensive mattress at home.  The place was very clean.  I found it to be comfortable and completely adequate and without any frills.  The management was responsive to my needs: Jodi lives on site and is available 24/7.  Convenient to all amenities.  Absolute lowest price in town for a decent clean room that allows pets and is set up for pets without carpets.  Microwave and fridge both worked.  If I have guests in town and don't have enough room to put them up myself, this place is where they'll go.  Not the Hilton, and it doesn't pretend to be, either, but I was very happy there.  5 stars.

Nice, clean and convenient and a good place for pets.  Not fancy.

Walls are paper thin - you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbor is doing :(
Restaurant was closed when arriving, location is in an industrial park so nothing nearby to walk to or see. They are currently being bought out - so not sure what new owners can do about thin walls but maybe there will be somewhere to eat

No sleep ahead

OMG!!! Let me say that again, OMG! This place is a total filthy dive. And, it is very scary.  It looks like most of the rooms appear to be for long-term homeless housing. All the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking but the tenants are all sitting by their doors yacking loudly and smoking up a storm. I had to close my window. The place is run down. The walkways are filthy and gross. The room is shabby and dirty with spider webs in the corners. People next door have been banging around for hours. Someone in there is mad because he has been promised a downstairs unit but hasn't been moved yet. Brick walls are paper thin and I can hear very sound.  So just going to sit in the middle of my bed and hope I don't catch something disgusting. Jay F, I wish I would have read your review before I booked but I was in a hurry. So sad for me.

A complete and total dive.  What a mistake to book this place.

I would not take my time to write a review on a place this bad if I didn't mean it. But I am to make you (others) aware. Please do not stay here. Pay a little extra and go to any other hotel if you are going to be in Olympia.

-Completely horrible service.
-Rooms smell horrible.
-Rooms are not cleaned good.
-Disgusting.

My 3 friends and I are from out of town and were coming to Olympia. All the other hotels downtown were booked for this Saturday night. This place had vacancy we booked online for 3 people (got a room "3beds" with 2 queens, 1 king bed). 2 of us road together traveling through and we checked in (RUDE service from the front desk guy) An hour later our 3rd friend got into this city and we went to the parking lot to help him grab his suitcase and the 3 of us walked up to the room together. Immediately we get a call in the room saying "The person we just brought in needs to leave, the black guy you got in needs to leave now" (He is samoan) We did not leave we paid for 3. This was half embarrassing, we brought him to the front desk to check in, gave him his id, and the front desk guy said "Oh I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a trespasser we were sneaking in on the premises. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I will never tolerate service from a small minded bigot.
But besides my experience read everyone else's also and that will give you a great idea TO NOT stay here. And if all the other hotels are vacant try AirBnB.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

Ok, yes, this is an older basic property so if you are looking for fancy and lots of amenities, keep looking.  What the Olympia Inn offers is friendly and helpful innkeepers, a safe location, very reasonable prices and comfortable rooms.  My friend and I needed a last-minute reservation and got one after a quick call.  Our need for a room with two beds on the lower level with easy-access was accommodated.  Wi-Fi was available. We were provided with a list of food places that deliver.  All in all the Olympia met all our needs and we will return the next time we are in the area.

Everything You Need - Reasonable Price

Motel is very dated, furnishings are old mis matched. Carpet stained and room run down. No breakfast small parking lot.
Good points, clean bedding and hot shower!  Room was okay for the rate but wish I would have researched better

Get what you pay for

I reserved a room for me and my dogs and asked that we are placed on the ground floor near a door so we can have easy access for potty breaks.  I've traveled all over the country with my dogs and they're have never had any problems.  Lots of hotels have welcomed us with open arms.  I was just informed that they'll accept our dogs as long as they're not pitbulls which is so archaic.  I refuse to support a business that discriminates dog breeds based on fear and ignorance.  We'll take our business elsewhere.
