Have been staying here for many years.  After a STEEP decline in the last 5 years i'm glad to say the new owner(s) and staff are trying very hard and this once pretty place is coming back into it's place as a comfortable, clean affordable place to stay.   Keep up the good work! 

Nice place fell apart, new owners working hard. 

A basic motel room, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.  Convenient to the rest of Onley and Onancock.  The front desk person was very helpful and a nice person.  If you have mobility problems, the accessible rooms are a bout a fifty-foot walk from the disabled parking spaces, and roll-in shower was good.  I don't want to oversell it but this was a good single-night experience, especially at the senior-discounted price. 

GOOD EXPERIENCE

For the price ($66/night), the Onley Inn is more than acceptable. I was a little worried ahead of time, but the room was clean and in good shape. I think that the air conditioning may have been off before our arrival, as everything had that slight damp feel, but it didn't have any odors, etc. Soundproofing to the outside is minimal, so I wouldn't recommend getting a room on the McDonald's side, as we heard noisy people and cars during the evening.

Pretty good for the price!

1st room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. They gave us a different room with no problem and it was better. Bed squeaked badly, air conditioner was very loud and noisy and lots of road noise. There was a leaking soap dispenser in the bathroom that they must know about because they had paper towels under it to catch the soap. And in the morning there was no hot water (at6am) and no on at the front desk to talk to. Go somewhere else. 

Surprisingly clean and well-appointed property apparently in the process of renovation. I was wary about staying here but did so on the strength of more recent reviews, and did not regret my decision. Our WiFi signal was stronger than at a nearby luxury hotel. We really appreciated the help extended to us my the staff, which provided microwavable paper plates after we realized we could not micro our food in the aluminum tins a restaurant had provided. TV for once had user-friendly instructions on how to navigate the two remotes (something again lacking elsewhere). Well worth the price. I would not hesitate stopping there while travelling the Lankford Highway.

The check in process was easy. 
 Payment $$ always is. Upon parking, to enter room. We were advanced by a broke. Down person. Across the parking lot. Scary. 
Next we entered room. Greeted by Smokers on the entrance. Sitting outside.
We quickly unloaded. Having to walk thru the Smoke. Next checking the facility.  The restroom. Had not been properly cleaned. Or cleaned at all!!!

The bed linens probably had not been changed. We went out and bought some sheets to use that night. I was deathly afraid to sleep on the ones provided. Or use the bath towels.
The hand soap looked like it had been placed back into the plastic wrap. To be recycled! Nasty!!!!!
During the night. We were woken by loud unpleasant noises. Coming from next room.
Seriously!!!  
Please avoid this motel. 👎😵😖

Great hidden gem  Wonderful staff. Rooms were very clean & spacious. Front desk staff awesome! Check them out you won't be disappointed. They are in the middle of a renovation but will be completed soon 😁

Property and front desk manager Jennifer went above and beyond expectations to help me.  After leaving property, I realized I had forgotten a small, but important sentimental item in my room. Jennifer went out of her way to find the item and return it to me!  Jennifer was incredibly kind and caring in her efforts and I'm very grateful for it.  Definitely recommend this hotel for it's kind and caring staff!!!

Me and my family live on the road whenever we need a break from the big truck and are In onley we stay here great staff friendly and clean rooms compared to some places we have stayed!  We would just like Thank you

The best

Best price for the area. Room clean and comfortable. Seems to be renovating rooms, lobby is closed for renovations, so don't expect any breakfast. McDonald's is right next door or skip the fast food and get real breakfast at Sage Diner just up the road. Will continue to use this hotel anytime I'm in this area for work.
