I agree with other reviewers.  The place really needs some TLC and major updates in the units.  Everything inside the condo was not only dirty but well used/abused looking.  Our refrigerator did not even have a handle!!  Kitchen silverware was sparse (obviously lost over time and not replaced).  No pot holders.  Stove drawer hanging askew and filled with stained and damaged pans.  Some of the lamps were so damaged they were unsafe to use.  Extensive water marks (leaks?) apparent on the ceilings in several of the rooms.  Dresser drawers smelled musty and handles were loose or damaged.  Floors were dirty.  Sofas and seating for dining were absolutely covered with stains and soiling.  Who would pick a white cover for banquette seating anyway??  Bed linens on some of the beds did not fit.  Rugs at the bedsides were so filthy they looked ready for the trash.  Outside seating area looked very aged and the cushions on some of the chairs were so sun damaged and dirty we opted not to sit on them.  The side table for the outside chairs was broken.  Phoenix/Brett Robinson needs to inspect these units and bring them back to acceptable condition.  We enjoyed our stay there 3 years ago but I would not return if no updates/improvements occur.  We paid for a walk out level unit labeled "High Demand Select".  It was not worth the price considering the condition of the inside.   We did report many of the issues.  Minimal assistance and no offer to reduce pricing.
 BTW, the pool areas were well maintained and we observed the outdoor maintenance team doing regular cleanup and monitoring.  Even the outdoor grill was cleaned extensively.  Wish they had done so inside!!!

Phoenix V

Don’t book  Phoenix 5 unit 910.
The mattresses on all beds are OLD/INFERIOR. . The bed linens do not fit properly and are scratchy. Bathtubs are narrow and do not feel very safe. Bare bones condo. Decor is hodgepodge and looks like a bunch of leftovers from other places

UNIT 910 not great

Condo 1102 was ok but had a bad smell. I could not figure out what it was. 
Phoenix v does not follow their smoking policy. People, including staff, smoked on balconies. Many guests were smoking even weed. Smell was strong on balcony.  It ruined sitting on the balcony with children.
View was great. Some restaurants were close. Room appeared to have updates.

Ok but few concerns

We stayed at the Phoenix ...unfortunately we we’re very disappointed in our condo. 
Had a awful smell, the couch, chairs and outdoor cushions were in dire need to be replaced. But they gave us sheets to put over them. ..hmm
One light bulb was hanging off the outlet.  It just wasn’t what we were sold. 
I did bring it to there attention and was given a small refund.

Needs TLC

We just returned from 8 nights at Phoenix 4, rented through Brett Robinson. We've been staying at the Phoenix's for 25 years and never a problem. This time we called to book because of Hurricane Sally. We wanted to be sure the complex was good with no problems. We were assured it was. When we arrived our drapes were hanging off the rod. 2 shelves out of 3 were broken. Neither bathroom drain worked. The telephone was out. And there was no patio table on the balcony, which the online picture showed a nice table. They dude fix the shelves and drain and we were assured we would get a table in 2 days. Never got one and not one call to check on us, of course the telephone never worked. We were very disappointed this time!

Not up to par!

I was not impressed with this condo.   I wasn’t pleased with several things   The Television in one bedroom didn’t work.  The bathrooms REALLY NEED updated. The tubs are hard to get into.   The bath area in one is so small you can hardly get dressed in it.  It has separate sink area.  Both baths have the old fashion shower slide doors.  The entire unit could use a good update.  If this is how they want to rent the unit the price should be lower.  I expected more for my money.

Phoenix IV Unit 4153

Phoniex Rental Properties has exceptional customer service.  We enjoyed our stay at 2307 at Phoniex West.  It was very lovely.  Comfy beds, plenty of seating in the living area and balcony.  Plenty of kitchenware.  Everything about this unit was wonderful.  Sadly, due to an unfortunate event with the building as a whole, our trip was cut short.  Even though it was chaos trying to pack up and pretty much evacuate, when I contacted the property manager for help, the gentleman I spoke with was very nice and professional.  They refunded us the nights we were unable to stay.....plus some. This was out of their control but they handled it well and took care of their customers.  They will continue to have my business in the future.  I greatly appreciate them.  You will love unit 2307.

Phoniex West Property Manager and Lovely Unit 2307

Today was the third time I Tried to find a rental unit at a Phoenix property thru Brett Robinson for a monthly winter rental. Each time I found a unit I liked and put all the information in and would get a rate I would put deposit information in for said dates.  Then they would inform me to call reservations only to find out the rate quoted was wrong.  The unit would not rent monthly and you have to pay the regular rate, which is ridiculous.  If the units do not rent monthly then don't put them on your website with the rate. Probably will not be going to Orange Beach. Very discouraging.

Brett Robinson web site sucks !!

My family has been coming to the Phoenix properties for years.  My parents stay 5-6 weeks and the rest of us come in for about a week.  We always come in December and January for a family holiday.  We all arrive in different days and usually if a unit is ready, they will let us check in early (like 9-10a ish).  We get a 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom units.  They give us 2 parking passes for the 2&3 bedroom units.  Last year and this year we needed 1 additional parking pass for only 1 night (for the 3 bedroom unit) and this year they refused us.  They also said our 1 bedroom unit was ready but we were not allowed to check in.  Because those are the rules!  I realize that in the summer when parking is a problem (there are about 400 empty spaces right now) and when occupancy is 99%, rules are critical.  But for the snowbirds are coming in and occupancy is about 20%, they could build loyalty with the few of us that pay to come here when it is cold and empty.  The 3 bedroom unit we are staying in needs some carpet cleaning but otherwise it is in decent shape for a rental.  We have been really loyal to the Brett Robinson properties and stay in the same building every year.  This year we will shop around while we are here and see if there is a location and can treat us better.


service is slipping a lot

We stayed in the Phoenix 10 in unit 1107. It was incredible. I can't say enough good things about it. Perfect location. The complex has direct beach front access. Our condo had a breathtaking view of the gulf. It's walking distance to the famous Flora-Bama. It's hard when you book a condo online and don't know for sure what you're getting. We were over the top impressed with this condo complex.
