I really loved the way Hessi, the Indian gay treated us, he went out of his way to help and make sure that we are satisfied with the room.
He even offered to help carrying our things up the stairs, which was very nice of him.
The room was ok, everything worked.
Bottom line, it was a good memory to stay in this motel.
Thank you Hessi, you are a good man.

It was wonderful hotel. Front desk very helpful and friendly as was the rest of the staff.convenient parking. Beds are  very comfortable. Room was clean and bright. It was amazing experience, will surely visit again.

Wonderful hotel

I didn't have high expectations, but there's not a ton of options in Lakeview so I went this one.  The place didn't look like much from the outside, but our room came as a pleasant surprise.  It was quite nice, comfortable and clean and well-decorated, with a fridge and a coffee machine.  

We ended up extending our stay by one night, and the hotel staff was very gracious about the late-notice request.  It was September, and I was amused by the large number of quail running around the parking lot like they owned it.

We stopped here while on a motorcycle trip across-the country. It was actually a nice little hotel! I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone we ran into in town was pleasant and there are restaurants etc within walking distance of the hotel. I would stay here again if traveling through the area

Nice little hotel and town

What a sweet small town and wonderful little place to stay.  The room was recently renovated and was clean, comfortable and warm.  Can't wait to see how the whole lodge looks when the redo is done.  We were headed back to AZ for the winter and they accommodated us and our pets perfectly.  Thanks so much for taking good care of us and giving us shelter from the cold.  Added plus was wonderful restaurant, Julia's on 395.

When I stopped at the Chamber of Commerce in Lakeview they were very helpful. They recommended a newly remodelled hotel owned by two brothers, and they were here for the weekend. I drove over and saw a hotel that I would NEVER stay in, but I decided to look.
I was charmed by the two Pattel brothers. They lived in Sacramento but came up every weekend to work on the hotel.
I ask for a very quiet room and the put me on the second floor overlooking the hills at the edge of town. The room had been redone very nicely, however: The desk chair, When leaned back, hit the desk (which was painted composite) so within a few weeks, they will have to replace or repaint.
The bed was perfect! The bathroom was well appointed with an out curved curtain and no mysteries about how to get the water the right temp.
The view as spectacular and the service was very good. Walking distance from one of Americas best kept secrets, Julia's resurant.

The perfect solution

I like to stay in independently owned small older motels,and this fit the bill. The outside is looking a bit worn, and yes there are some long term construction/farm workers staying here, but it's quiet and pleasant. 

I got an upstairs room that had been refurbished. It was clean, and everything was fine, other than the fact that the window was extremely difficult to open. (I own a farm so am no weakling!) 
My room had a fridge and microwave, which is always handy.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good, served in a clean pleasant room with several tables. 

This is not a luxurious place, but they are obviously working hard to upgrade this old motel.  Price was fair at about $70 + tax. They do charge a $15 pet fee.

We had a big room, two queen beds with couch, table, chairs, large flat screen, refrigerator and microwave.  Lots of floor space.  Really liked the room.  Could use some help with  breakfast.  Hot water in the air pot was cold and there was not a lot of food to chose from.  Nice eating area.  Lobby is large.  I really like this place and would stay again.  The place is old so you need to excuse some things that show normal wear and tear through age.  Staff is great.

Nice big rooms

We decided to stay in Lakeview for the evening and found this little gem. It is older, don't mistake that, but very well kept up  and clean. Out room was newly remodeled and spacious. It was very inexpensive,  and even had a little hot tub out back. We didn't use it so can't tell you about it. 

Nice option 

After reading the other reviews I was really not looking forward to this stay, but it was the only option available except a best western with similar reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised. We were lucky enough to get a refurbished room. The bed was huge, comfy and clean. Modern decor and big tv. The bathroom was dated but exceptionally clean and in good condition, so the dated fixture started were charming rather than horrific. The shower was hot and the water clean. After reading the other reviews I bought bottled water in advance for teeth brushing, but it wasn't required. There were a few what I assumed were long term residents having a BBQ and hanging around at the back, but once we were in our room I felt safe and enjoyed the stay!
