My room was very clean.  Very nice bath towels and the room was very comfortable.  I stayed 3 weeks. I was extremely pleased I found this hotel.  

I had to edit a film and I needed a place to work.  This worked out perfectly.  

The bath towels I got were better than I have received in hotels that are $100 a night. 

  I have traveled all over the U.S. and Central America.  Stayed in over 100 different hotels.  This is the one of the lowest priced hotels I ever stayed at.  Their weekly rate is more than fair. It is under $200 a week?! That is almost unheard of!

The room was surprisingly clean.  I was not expecting much.  The whole place has been repainted. Parking lot is clean and well lit.  Very safe location .Some of the furnishings are not cheap either.  Nice curtains.   It was much better than I expected.

Rooms have cable TV, fridge and microwave. Their Cable had my 2 favorite shows available, forensic files and investigation discovery.  Many hotels have cheap cable and do not include these.  Even $75 dollar a night rooms.  The hotel is one block away from a  circle K where you can a large pizza for $5.00  

The only downside is the internet.  It is a weak signal and I was told that upfront before I came.  Walls of hotel are cinder block and this makes it difficult for rooms to have strong signal.  

Other than that it was an excellent stay. During the time I was there they were constantly making upgrades to the property 

They also frown upon guests who are heavy drinkers and or drug users.  I like that. 
I do not drink or use drugs so it was nice to be in a budget hotel that did not have these kind of problems going on.

CLEAN AND LOW PRICED

I needed a cheap place to sleep between a long driving trip.  This place was a little off the beaten track, but for the price I paid (32 dollars total), it was worth the extra few miles.  The lady at the front desk was nice and stayed open a little longer than normal since we were running late.  Very nice of her.

The place is clean, but its an old motel from probably the 50s or 60s, so if you go in with no expectations, you will be ok.  The place seemed safe, and in a pretty safe location.  

A great little no frills place for a stop-over if you need to lay your head and continue your journey.

The Dixie Motel was a last gasp attempt to find a place to stay during Hurricane Irma. We could tell going in there was a reason it was only $45 a night.  It is obviously old, built back in the 40s and even though it has seen better days, we had an OK feeling about the place.  

You do get what you pay for because it needs help.  The motel is owned by an older gentleman and operated by his son and daughter-in-law who have two cute kids.  They talked to us about the place and explained that they took it over a year and a half and have been trying to bring it up.  It explained a lot as our room was aged.  The only issues I had was the carpet needed to be replaced and there were a couple of cigarette burns in the bedspread.

Other than that, the sheets and bedspread were clean, the air conditioner worked, the shower area was tiled and the hot water worked.  It had a microwave, small refrigerator, great wi-if and Comcast cable with at least 75 channels if not more.

What was impressive was the demeanor of the family.  They were some of the nicest people you could hope for.  They had coin operated washer and dryer but they opened up the motel washer and dryer when someone had already started using them.  

Our stay was in response to Hurricane Irma and after our second day there, the power went out, the winds came in at about 80 miles an hour and a huge rain storm occurred.  With that, we never felt unsafe as the motel is rock solid concrete block and the drains worked perfectly.  As soon a the power went out at midnight, the family was up and patrolling the grounds making sure everyone was safe, removing dead tree branches from the parking lot and making sure nothing clogged the drains.

At 11am, we got a knock on the door and they invited us for hamburgers and hot dogs as they knew nothing would be open.  So needless to say we were impressed by their caring.

Vintage Motel worked for us.

In this case not even that! I didn’t pay to scratch all night with bedbugs and an AC
that hardly worked. The matress was all broken down too. Stay anywhere but here. You would do way better if you slept in your car.

You Get What You Pay For!

A dumpy joint that advertises one price out front but yet has a higher price on the internet. Not very clean. Not Very comfortable old beat-up worn-out used and put away wet. I'm a very busy road with lots o.
