This condo was really nice.  Was beautifully decorated, spacious, great balcony.  The kitchen was open but a little tight.  We will definitely stay there again.  The weather was very cool so it caused us to stay inside; the unit was so nice that we didn't mind staying indoors!!!  

Unit 1105

Wish I was still back there. We just returned from three nights at the sterling reef. I totally recommend it. We stayed at 1401 which is a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment including a kitchen and a living room with sofa bed. Two rooms had king size beds and the third room had two sets of bunk beds. You could easily had two couples each in their own bedrooms and 4 kids in the bunk beds. Plus someone else in the sofa bed. The views were amazing from the nice size balcony. The breeze and the sound of the ocean were very enjoyable. The refrigerator was brand new still with some plastic wrapping. Microwave and stove/oven. Pretty much everything you needed to cook and serve. And cook we did a lot. A toaster was noticeably absent. I see some folks commented about junk behind the fridge? I don’t get that. I mean who checks behind the fridge while on vacation? Okay they did. We saw no roaches anywhere alive or dead. Also saw some comments about the floors being dirty. I checked on arrival and the floors were clean. However by the next day they floors were dirty…because OF US and the wind bringing in dirt and sand and whatever. The apartment was nicely decorated with fresh paint. As far as checking in we just followed the instructions on the email and used the entry code provided. The parking pass and wrist bands were on the kitchen counter as expected. As far as check out two things. Check is by 10 am. The cleaning lady was waiting outside by 9 am which I guess is their way of being proactive. One area for improvement is that the code for the door shut off at 9 am. Luckily there was someone still inside otherwise I would have gotten locked out. Otherwise a very enjoyable and relaxing break.

Great relaxing vacation

After a week at Disney, we wanted a place to relax and just soak in the sun (in a more pleasant way than standing in line) so made the drive to Panama City and sterling reef. 

Sterling reef was everything we wanted after a hectic week in too-small confines. 3 bedrooms - 2 of which face the beach and have direct balcony access - 3 bath. Comfortable. Relaxing. I appreciated they took the time to label what each set of light switches control, what’s in each of the drawers. It really simplified settling in. 

The condo was wonderful. 

The balcony with its view of the beach even better. 

And the short ride down the elevator to get to the pool and beach best of all. 

I’d always heard Panama City beaches were loud, crowded, and generally not as nice as some of the quieter ones we normally visit. But the beach, this week at least, was great. There were lots of people using the beach since the pier and public parking are close by, but it wasn’t crowded - everyone was nice, no one was crowding anyone else out. There weren’t large, out-of-control parties. There were small groups of families and friends having fun. Seemed like what a beach should be. 

There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. Pleasant places to stroll along the beach or roadway. 

The price for the condo was more than reasonable. 

This seemed to me to be a great value, a great place to relax. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 

Loved everything about this place

These condos are a great value.  Beautiful 2 bedroom two bath condo.  Each owner has their own furniture and decorations so check out photos.  Great location Right on a white sandy gulf beach.  Watch fish and dolphins from balcony.  Most units have been updated.  Walk to gulf front restaurants.

We stayed here Oct 2-7. The view is so pretty. The rooms are always great. The pool area doesn’t have a lot of seating but never had a problem getting a chair. The elevators are ok. We were in room 804 and rented thru Vrbo. 

Great vacation 

Rented #904 in May and I must say, we will definitely be renting again and again. The unit was spotless and the location couldn't have been any better. We normally change locations every year but I think we've found our spot for our yearly vacation. It had everything we needed and the view is spectacular. There is not one negative re: this unit. Actually, the only thing wrong is that we couldn't stay longer !!

PERFECTION

Awesome!

We stayed at the Sterling Reef condominiums.  The view was awesome.  Easy access to the beach.  It wasn’t crowded.  It is nice being away from the public beach access.

We had umbrella service and they charged $40 a day.  That didn’t include towels.  

Some people bring umbrellas or sun blocking canopies and set them up in front of the permanent wooden lounge chairs.

Sterling Reef Review 
My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week vacation and while the amenities were nice, the room was clean and the view was stunning, there were several disappointing points I must make. The elevator situation here is dismal. I mean 30 minute wait for elevators because in the entire building there is only 2. Two elevators for 19 floors not including parking and at least ten rooms on each floor. That was frustrating and alarming considering what would happened if there was an emergency. 
Secondly, the hotel was three hours late in allowing us to get to our room. We were told we could check in at 4pm  and had to wait until 8pm. I understand many things are difficult with a lack of staff and finances because of COVID, however the communication needed to be more clear and the vouchers we were given to pacify us were shallow gestures. The hotel promised an additional $75 towards any excursions we wanted but the company this hotel partners with did not pick up the phone until after an hour. An hour of the phone just ringing. Then to actually book the excursion you had to talk with two different people. Call one place, wait for an hour for them to pick up and then call somewhere else. I believe it was intentionally difficult and as a result, I am very disappointed in sterling reef. They should be more aware and cognizant of who they work with. The beach and the locals made up for the downsides of the trip but the peak frustrations of this trip was as listed above.

Amazing view but too many problems

My family (5 of us) rented #904 for four nights, we loved it ! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal. Loved the large balcony. The only problem we found with the condo was the floors needed to be mopped. Could not walk around inside the condo without shoes on, or bottom of our feet was black within 10 minutes. That is my only complaint with this unit. Everything else was super. Elevators are a little slow, but that wouldn't deter us from staying here again.

Getaway

We stayed at this condo for four days and was thankful for the cleanliness and views. The pool was a disappointment and there really should be a hot tub, especially for the summer when it's stormed and is cool outside. The narrow subpar pool would cause me to never visit this place again. 

The elevators stopped working on one night of our trip and due to the bad design of the building that meant people on the higher floors were stuck. The building should have built another set of elevators by the emergency stairs on the opposite side but they did not. Luckily I was on the 5th floor and could make it up the stairs. However, a lady with groceries renting on the 17th floor was stuck on the 1st floor waiting for the repair guy.

I did see the gross runoff that spills into the ocean when I went for a walk but I didn't see any pollution in the water. While walking to the nearby pier I was shocked to learn there was a $3.00 admission just to walk through. I've no idea if it's more for people trying to fish.

The flag alerts on the beach are quite helpful to determine whether or not the water is safe but sadly some people do not obey them.

This is the quiet end of the strip and you do have to drive to get food etc. There's a Walmart only a few minutes away and other food places. Shipwreck water park is directly across the street.

It rained a lot and I recommend Dave & Buster's for indoor rainy day fun.
