FIRST - this was booked Thru the MARRIOTT Houses & Villas. the company VACASA was the 3rd party that took are of Marriott's Houses/Villas - DO NOT BOOK THIS - DO NOT STAY HERE!  This was my 1st time booking for the Sunrise Beach Condo & will be the last time I use this service or book in this BUILDING of SUNRISE BEACH RESORT.  I was told first there was 2 spots for Free parking, then I had to park across the street, then finally they decided I could park all my cars there but would charge me $20 per car.  The room was beachy, it had 2 BR & a bunk room - enough beds for 9 women, but not enough bathrooms. The starter kit was OK, needed more trash bags. We were never told anything, any type of Maint. would be going on. but on Tuesday 5/17 they decide THERE WILL BE NO WATER from 9AM to 5PM, basically ALL DAY! no toilets! no showers! no laundry! no cooking!  and when the water did come back on around 6pm! - it was a lovely Brown Color - now do you want to shower in that mess> No you don't! Best of all about 7pm on the same day OUR WATER WENT BACK OFF!!! we had enough time for ONE SHOWER! the front desk could tell us nothing - "it's not our fault - it's the HOA of the building" we got no help, no answers, no one to screw at - just nothing. Too bad! I called the "after hours" guy - he said he would relocate us to another unit. he called back in 10 minutes & said he couldn't relocate us but he would find a unit where we could at least take showers & and do some laundry. Just trust me, he said. I NEVER HEARD from him again!   we sat all night, dirty, stinking - we did what we were suppose to do - we stayed away all day, found something to do in the Florida & 10000% humidity to only come home & find NO Water! We sat all night WAITING for the water to come on & never did! To only go to the elevator the Next Day to find out the Water would be OFF AGAIN on Wed 5/18 from 9 AM to 1pm - - ANOTHER DAY. No One had told us about any of this, if so we would have booked somewhere else. I have never been so glad to get away from a place like SUNRISE BEACH RESORT! I would never book anything that is dealt with by VASACA. and this claims to be a MARRIOTT Houses & Villas International. This is NOT A Marriott Brand! I booked this condo & paid in full. It was a contract between Marriott/Vasaca & me - they have Failed to respect my right to a room that can provide the daily needs such as Water and a Toilet. The Federal Trade Commission does have laws & regulations for this type of dispute - anyone in this situation needs to take full advantage of the laws that prevent this type of carelessness! SUNRISE BEACH RESORT does not care about you & if you stay. VASACA DOES NOT care about you & your stay or what you need. MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, their brand or your thoughts. But I Can Promise you - THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME - I will stay at a Holiday Inn Resort - they treat their guests much better!

The Vacation from HELL

1 good thing...unit 2304 is cute. That's it! We checked in on sat 5/14, we checked out 5/18 ...4 nights, paid $1400+ and still used all my Marriott points of 57000.....MARRIOTT SHOULD BE EMBRASSED TO call this place part of the Marriott family. Of those 4 nights in 100 degree PCB... we had NO WATER  from 9am to 5pm!! No water, no toilets no showers no cooking, no washing clothes.....yet no one let us know before check in, no one let us know it would be all day in 96 degrees, in FL. 9 women...know how we found out. The HOA of this place put a Sign in Some of the elevators.  We come home to water at 6pm. BUT ITS BROWN and only stayed on until about 9pm....then went off again. They offered  me $100/150......we paid over 1500!!! if this is Marriott,  you better get ready,  DO NOT STAY HERE,  DON'T COME UP,  find another condo ... there's plenty here for the money.  VACASA GETS THIS HIT, they told no one,  but the blame on the HOA of the building... tell me why they couldn't replace the boilers at night? But no,... don't come here!! DO NOT STAY... is not worth it.  THIS IS NOT A MARRIOTT STANDARD OPETATING BUILDING... SUNRISE BEACH CONDO...pass the word.....NO!!

NEVER COME HERE...no Water!

This was a solo trip for me and I had a fantastic time.

Seriously I kinda don't want to tell people about Unit 1705 because it was fantastic and it will be booked up if I let the secret out! 

The unit was spotless. The master bed was super comfortable.  Kitchen was fully stocked. All appliances worked as expected, I didn't try the oven though. Bathrooms were generous in size. Starter items were provided, so expect to need a roll of tp and some paper towels.

THE VIEW.  I love the balcony had doors off of the master bedroom and the living room. I could see for miles each way. The balcony is where I spent the majority of my trip. I liked how the sides were fully closed so the neighbors weren't a bother and I could be as comfortable as I desired. Some people want sun but are self conscious and this was ideal! The Gulf is gorgeous and watching the waves roll in, the dolphins play and being high enough that the sounds of frolicking children was pleasant without feeling like they are too close.  

The military jets flew buy almost daily and one time they were in helicopters. I cracked up because at 17 floors up, they were darn near eye level. I'm pretty sure I made eye contact! For a kid or anyone who likes aeronautics, the fly-by's are awesome.

TV's were great, plenty of channels to watch. Remotes had working batteries :) Comfy couch and chair. I kinda wished the couch would recline.  I watched NCAA basketball and had a great time. Nice setup.

Deck chair set is the best! It is the recycled plastic material. SUPER HEAVY and sturdy. Loved the high top.  Only concern.. if you have kids, move those away from the railing. They are tall and any climbing kid could go right over. 17th floor.  They were super comfortable for watching the dolphins and just taking in the beauty at night.  I'm a bit afraid of heights and it took me a whole day just to look straight down. I never dared to look directly up!

I also loved that I never had to check in with anyone. With the current virus, not having contact on the check in or out was a big bonus. In fact, I never spoke with a person from the Condo at all. The counter had sanitizer spray and wipes for me when I got in. Just us the keypad and go, perfect.

There are some drawbacks, always are.  The unit is near the elevator so some nights exuberant folks could be heard through the window, it would have bothered a light sleeper in the second bedroom. Most nights were fine, but if you go during a busy time (think Spring Break) it may be aggravating.  Elevator was a little slow sometimes. 

But.. on the flipside, the unit is near the elevator! Super convenient for loading and unloading. 

The room also is against a maintenance/laundry room. Which means on that side... no neighbors :) I'm not sure how far that area goes back, but i didn't hear a peep the whole time I was there which was just under 2 weeks. 

The neighbor above allows small dogs.  They came the day before I departed. Plank floors are cool unless the dog has toenails and likes to run back and forth. But, I read somewhere that only owners can bring pets, so there's not much to be done about that.  Not loud, just annoying. If I turned on the tv I didn't hear a thing.

Other than that... I was thoroughly pleased. Well, more than that.  It was a great unit in a fairly well kept condominium. Underground parking is a perk. It was a little unnerving at night so I kept my head up, but I was alone and am always on guard. It was nicely kept and amazingly clean. 

I did not try the pool. I did walk out to the beach and the sand was so nice. Water is great, was reasonably warm for February. The Beach Service started right before I left so I didn't get to use it but did see it all being set up. Looks like a major perk and I will plan for that next time.

Overall, the owners of 1705 should be very proud. It was wonderfully comfortable and just how I'd hope a condo would be.  Room for 3 or 4, I wouldn't put many more in. Super clean, well kept, furnished nicely and so comfortable. At one point I wanted to move in!  I spent a lot of time sipping wine on the balcony reading books. THE VIEW!

Fantastic trip - Beach YES - Unit 1705

Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo on the 25th floor was excellent. The resort itself needs to improve the elevators, there were only 4 for the building and the wait times could be awhile especially when all 4 were not running. The 2 seperate pools and hot tubs were nice and the views from the pool deck was great. There was beachchair service right in front of the complex as well as jetski rentals, parasailing and a short walk to several restaurants and shops. The resort was supposed to be smoke/vape free except for a designated area but we smelled cigarettes constantly which was very disappointing.

Our condo was great but the elevators were slow.

The resort itself is great! ALTHOUGH, unit 1707 is desperately in need of new furnishings and maintenance Everything seems to be second hand furniture including the mattress in the master room. We could literally feel the springs so we did not sleep well the entire week. 
The sofa and chairs in the living area were terribly soiled and very out-dated.  The legs on the kitchen table are broken as well as chairs.

2021 Summer Beach Trip

First of all, sunrise Beach Resort Room 501 is a gorgeous unit located off the pool deck. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was nicely decorated. I really wanted to love this unit, however I have two major complaints, 1) the drain in the master bath was clogged and my husband had to clear it as soon as we got there  (not a big deal); and 2) on the 4th day we started to find dead roaches. There were two in the kitchen, one in the laundry room, one under a bed, and one in the master bedroom closet.   I can’t handle bugs!!! We’re leaving a day early because of this and will need to take necessary precautions when we get home to ensure no “hitchhikers” came with us. This definitely put a damper on our vacation. After spending over $3,000 for a week here, I shouldn’t have to deal with roaches (dead or alive)

Rundown unit, filthy & nasty, Bathrooms got water damage from unit above.  Greedy owner, bad management company, they should not rent the room out to vacationers knowing the room needs major repairs.  The room should have been demolished and rebuilt completely.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunrise Beach Resort and would come back!  Easy check in / out, great covered parking, easy access to elevator, just few steps to the beach, very spacious unit, very clean, beautiful decor and spectacular view of the ocean!  Another huge plus is location, walking distance to Hang Five and Sharkey's.

First the condo... 2208 was as pictured for the most part except for the over abundance of stuff in the unit for no reason.  There were enough dishes to stock 2 condos.  There were miscellaneous decoration items sitting everywhere - not to mention that there was still a small christmas tree (with skirt and gifts) and decorations (IN APRIL).  One closet was locked with owner items as usual but one of the master bedroom walk-ins was full of stuff that literally fell over when the door was opened.  I reported a light issue, shower sprayer problem, and no fan or light in the front bedroom prior to departure.

Now Vacasa.  Good initial communications.  Get a call the night before arrival informing us that we have to register our car and pay $20 to HOA for parking.  We were already on the road.  You couldn't tell us that in the 3 other messages a week before?

We got groceries before arrival and made it to check-in at 4PM.  They sent us to our room where the house keeper was half done (after 4PM).  We waited on the walkway for 45 minutes but did get out cleaning fees refunded ($197) - not bad I guess.  This is also how we learned that you get a free night if they do not start cleaning your room until after 4 as with some of the other units - good to know.

Then, Vacasa does not inform you that you have to check-in at the beach for your beach service chairs.  From this, we started our beach day in someone else chairs.  Not a problem I guess, just a learning experience that this happens all the time (from the beach attendant) and then we were good for the rest of the stay.
