Picked this hotel as we had been for ribs on an earlier trip and were told it had been renovated. The price wasn't as good as it was earlier but was fair. Stayed one nights prior to a flight home. It was as expected, nothing special, clean and everything worked. Was convenient for a walk to the strip. 

As Expected

Location was super convenient to the strip.  The brewery on site was awesome and as an added bonus you get a mini growler when you check in!  All of the staff was very friendly.  The casino was small, but had everything you needed/wanted as well as a lounge with nightly karaoke and 2 restaurants.

Great hotel for the price

I went on a trip to Los Angeles and we escaped for a night in Las Vegas and it was the best option, located just behind the main avenue where all the great hotels and within them all the famous casinos are! although even in the same hotel there is also a bar and gaming machines, the location is very well located, and as much pleasant service, as the spacious rooms and very comfortable beds, I highly recommend it!

Cozy and Centric!

One large block away from the strip. Construction is going on but there are signs all around warning patrons. Highly recommend. I will return here soon. Customer service is great too!!

Friendly staff, great cheap place

Stayed four nights downtown during NASCAR weekend and the last night moved here to be closer to airport for morning flight.  Wasn't sure what to expect but room had been remodeled and was nicer than my downtown hotel.  Bathroom was small with little counter space but workable due to a dresser on opposite wall.   Had a fridge and coffeepot in room and also coffee in lobby all the time.  Came with free breakfast pastries, OJ or coffee at casino restaurant next door.  Also came with a free beer/root beer at casino in case you didn't want to gamble.  Only a block walk to Bally's so it is a great location if you don't want to pay the higher hotel & resort fees on the strip.  This does charge a resort fee of $20 per night plus tax but the room was cheap so overall it was still a good price.  Only issue was you have to have a door card to enter from outside doors and a separate one for the room door; most have one key that will do both so it was inconvenient to keep up with both.  Would definitely stay again based on this experience.

Close to airport

Be aware that if you make the reservation under the Ellis Island Super 8, the Super 8 doesn't exist and you will be charged for this hotel instead. I booked the Super 8 because there was no resort fee, and I show up here and get charged extra. They need to update hotel booking sites to match how much they will actually charge.  It's advertised that there is a free Hotel shuttle, but it is not available until after 8:30 a.m.  there's a coupon for breakfast, but that doesn't start until 6:30 am.   The tub was dirty too.

On the plus side there were two bottles of water in the fridge.

Added charges

The room was ok nothing special. The first day we checked in it took 20 minutes for the shower to turn hot. After that it was fine.The food was AMAZING my favorite thing about the place. Great location

We recently stayed at Ellis Island Hotel and Casino over the NASCAR weekend.  Check in was much easier than Strip hotels, Casino was friendly.  Room was clean.  Our first room had a TV that didn’t work and they quickly switched us. We went 2 days without having our room made up (partially because my son slept in past 10 each day).  When I mentioned this they quickly made up our room.   My only suggestions are to eliminate the resort fee.  I think its a joke that any of these hotels charge this fee.  The breakfast is not worth the extra fee and I’m really not sure what you get for 20/night.  Overall, it was a great value and great stay.

Great Family owned hotel

Hotel room had a fridge and coffee pot and free growler of beer in it.  It's a tiny room.  Maybe ok for a couple or one person.  It was clean but the halls were always dirty.  Every time I've gone to the restaurant for lunch or supper even until past 9 pm the wait was always 45 minutes.  I'm not a gambler so I usually just went somewhere else.The casino was packed every single night. Ask to stay on the side that does not face the casino or you will never get sleep.  There were partying and loud people outside every night (4 nights) I was there. Right up until 6 am. Bring earplugs.  Also, I put pillows along the hall door because there is quite a gap between floor and door and you can hear everything in the halls. As I'm writing this is 9:45 pm and they are cleaning the rooms next to me and across the hall which is really annoying. It's a close walk to the strip and a quite a few convenience stores. I would stay here again for a cheap vacay.

I was ok for the price

Rooms are up to date and much nicer than the time I stayed here before.  Food choices are OK with the pizza at the casino being my favorite.  Room was quiet even though it was right by the elevator and vending area.
