This Motel looked OK from the road! It was, and that was about it! Needs updating! lots of dirty road construction guys hanging over the railings. Lost my billfold and just lucky lady who found it was in the store when I came looking for it. Lady behind counter was not going to call night person, so I threatened to call the sheriff. If your in a bind it will work for a night!

If your in a bind!

I was moving from Colorado to Wisconsin, and my car broke down completely and I was stuck in Paxton for nine nights. I can’t tell you how kind generous the owners of this hotel were the room was clean I don’t know I’ll people complain they weren’t It was a very clean place. The bed was great. The people were great And I would highly recommend anybody traveling. Stop at the days inn here though it does help to have a car in Paxton. Otherwise you’re living on Ramen and Beef a Roni.

A bright spot in a bad week

dirty items in bathroom including one towel and the soap tray, limited towels for two people, ice machine broke, disappointing, this particular motel is connected to a Shell gas station, so the person doing the check-in is the person running the gas station

Dirty and janky

This particular motel exceeded our expectations. The front desk staff was really helpful. The place itself was very convenient because there is a gas station and a convenience store attached to the lobby. The room was exceptionally nice, clean, and well taken care of. The bed was really comfortable and the AC worked well.  Initially we were concerned that it might be noisy, but it was absolutely quiet. All in all, this is one of the nicest motels we stayed in on our entire trip which took us across the country. 

Far better than expected

Very tired and dirty on the outside. The room was nice and appeared clean. The motel was in desperate need of a refresh. There was debris piled up on the outside of the facilities, including and old discarded sofa.

Overdue for an overhaul

The rooms are pretty clean and it is a quiet place to stay.  The maintenance isn't great and the beds are a little uncomfortable.  If you are looking for a good breakfast, move on.  If you want toast and coffee or Juice, this is your place.

Good but not great

Upon entering, the room was terribly musty. There were a lot of flies. There was dirt and unidentifiable smudge on the walls. There were bugs in and around the bed, mostly dead. When we were checking for bedbugs we pulled the mattress away from the wall a little bit and found food and liquor bottles. If we had not arrived super late and didn't have to get up super early we would have changed hotels. Hands down the grossest hotel I've ever stayed at.

Gross

The room was okay and the hotel is in a good location for highway travelers. The trouble is the interactions with the managers (owners?) who seem like they are trying to be personable but not quite there. We got a phone call and a knock on the door to rush is prior to check-out at 11 - not a huge deal, since we were leaving anyway. The breakfast was not very good. Cold margarine-covered egg, the waffles were a strange inedible texture, made with batter that you get from a person behind the desk after providing a room #. Oh, and the lady told me I had to pay for half and half for my coffee.

Managers are a bit much

Within the first 15 minutes of arriving, the bathroom sink faucet temperature controls were backwards, the drain was clogged, and someone else's urine was on the toilet seat. That's really all that needs to be said.

Won't be staying here again

This hotel was easy to find and close to the village of Paxton so nice to get away from the crowds of the cities. Famous restaurant close by. Breakfast area was open with limited seating so not required to have food back to our room like some hotels on our travels.
