I stayed at Woodridge when I was on business to nearby Picayune, MS. The room was private, quiet, and so comfortable! What really makes Woodridge shine are the innkeepers! The breakfasts were amazing! We ended up having an extra day to see New Orleans, and the travel advice from our innkeepers was spot on. Another perk...the innkeepers advice as to restaurants in Slidell was also on point. I will be looking for a reason to come back soon.

Great small inn

My husband and I chose Woodbridge as our elopement destination and we could not have been more pleased!! Everything was exceptional! The property is absolutely gorgeous and the room was amazing! I didn't want to leave. That bed though...I have never slept so good! 
Their elopement package is the best deal around! I can't believe everything was included for such a low price! You even get a gourmet wedding cake and it was soooooo good!! 
Tim and Debbie are wonderful people who truly go above and beyond to make your special day unforgettable! 
We will definitely be back!

Elope to New Orleans

Husband and I went to the Woodridge B&B to elope late last month. The property is beautiful, the owners are sweet and amazing people, the breakfast is delicious and the price was perfect. We couldn’t be happier and will be back to stay here again next time we are in Louisiana!

Woodridge B&B was wonderful!

Went to the Woodridge Bed and Breakfast and was completely happy. More than. Debbi and Tim were amazing. The cake for our elopement was absolutely delicious. Debbi does an amazing breakfast in the mornings (even though we are not breakfast people, we ate the crap out of that as much as we could). They are both fantastic, some of the best people we have spent time with.

The elopement package was was perfect. It’s exactly what we wanted and more. These guys really do care, and I hope they know it too.

Not picture people either, but they managed to capture a couple that we love. Really, couldn’t be more happy with all
of this!

Best trip ever

There are so many great things to say.  My fiancé and I we’re planning to get married at the Louisiana courthouse but stumble across the ElopeNewOrleans website and found the Woodbridge Elopement package that offered everything we needed and more for only $299.  Debbie walked me through everything over the phone as I was coming in from California. She was very helpful and sweet. We were able to check into our room early so that we could relax a bit and get prepared for our garden wedding.  The package included pictures, delicious cake, nights stay, champagne toast, ceremony and a witness if you need one. Debbie’s husband Tim performed the ceremony and everything went great. My now husband and I were very pleased and I would definitely visit Woodbridge B & B again. Debbie and Tim had our wedding pictures ready for us and displayed them at our reserved newlywed table when we came down for breakfast.  Breakfast was a lovely egg soufflé which included smoked turkey since we don’t eat pork, homemade biscuits and jam.  Everything was amazing. It was like staying with family complete with a cute little dog Tibby. Thanks Tim and Debbie!  The two of you are a blessing.

Enchanting

Had a most relaxing and fun extended weekend! Debbie and Tim made us feel like family with delicious food, conversation and a coffee blend to top them all! We will definitely be staying here on our next visit to the New Orleans area!

Southern charm at its finest

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for my first time visiting NOLA (or anytime actually). 

Woodridge is about 30-40 minutes from the city depending on traffic and where you want to go. It’s on a back street in Slidell so it was nice and quiet. There were also a few swamp tours close by, we went on the Pearl River Eco Tour (that Debbie recommended) and that was very cool. If we were there a week or two later, so late February - early March, the irises would’ve been blooming.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, Tim and Debbie do a wonderful job with the landscaping, see the attached picture. The rooms were nice and clean and cozy, our bathroom was bigger than my bathroom at home. They also have cable and Netflix if you just wanted to chill for a night.

On to my favorite part, the coffee and food... hoooooly sh*t! I would’ve lived in a tent if I got to have Debbie’s food, and I am most definitely not a camper. Tim was the best host/waiter you could ask for, he gave us the low down on all the food, spoiler it’s all homemade even the jelly and honey. He was also just a super personable and knowledgeable guy, when he was pouring my coffee (really want some right now) he was telling us the history behind Louisiana coffee and how it gets its dark color. 

Bottom line up front:
- It’s quiet
- Grounds are beautiful 
- Rooms are cozy
- Coffee will make colors brighter
- Breakfast is the best I’ve ever had
- Debbie and Tim are awesome hosts/travel guides

Would absolutely stay again

We called last minute for a one night stay. The hosts were so accommodating and friendly. They referred us for dinner places, and their homemade breakfast was delicious! They were very concerned about taste and dietary preferences.  They made something that was delicious for my carnivore husband and the vegetarian in me. We had great conversation over breakfast as well with the owner.  Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 - while we truly appreciated the last minute reservation and upgrade - our room seemed a little like staying at grandma's house. While clean and comfortable, it could use a little updating.  Outside of that (which wasnt a huge issue) it was a great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Great hosts!

Woodridge Bed and Breakfast is beautiful. The owners are very friendly, polite and accommodating. The room was amazing and big. Breakfast was incredibly delicious! We loved staying there and plan on doing so again. We also plan on getting married there. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay.

Loved the stay!

I'm not very experienced staying at a B&B so I don't know how typical this was. The house is very pretty and there's a quaint fountain/garden. It is off the beaten path and the view of the night sky was awesome (wish I had my telescope). However, it isn't like staying at hotel per se. More like staying with a family friend. On the plus side of that, the owners Tim and Debbi are super friendly and super accommodating. Tibby the wiener dog is a big plus too! On the downside -- which isn't much of a downside -- it really is like being a guest in someone's home. The furniture and sheets and towels are what you'd find at someone's home and not a hotel. The fixtures in the bathroom were not shiny and new (but they were clean). There's no "front desk" and people walk around near your room coming to and from the balcony, for example. All this could be a plus or a minus depending on how you feel about it. There are some hotel-like amenities. Soap dispensers in the tub. Flat screen in the room with a DVD player and library. Better Internet then you'd expect based on the location.

My trip was basically get up, leave before breakfast because I had other commitments for breakfast, and then come back late. So, really, for this trip, I might have been better off with just a "home base" hotel room. But I really liked the feel of the place and how friendly the owners are. I could see if you were looking for more of a retreat and had time to linger over breakfast and walk the grounds this would be a very charming place.
