Colonial Inn is a hidden gem off the beaten path! Check in/out went by very quickly as they were ready for our arrival. The motel itself is so quaint as it reminded me of my stay in Branson, MO a few years ago. The value was superb, and they had both a refrigerator and a microwave in the room! Sleeping was comfortable. I highly recommend Colonial Inn!

Hidden Gem!

First the gems of this hotel are Nina for for great recommendations on where to eat and the bartender for his heavy our. The hotel was nice the beds comfortable And clean. The relation to the onramp to the highway was.conveniet and close to shopping and good food

Outstanding Customer Service.

My expectations were very low based on the reviews, but it was actually better than I though it would be. Since we arrived so late at night, the accommodations were more than adequate. I actually appreciated the outdated decor and amenities. It reminded me of simpler times.

Small, but quaint

I had reserved a room for a worker who works for me. I reserved the room under my credit card. My worker payed for the room in cash before he left and they still charged my credit card. So Colonial Motel was payed twice. Do Not Trust Them!!!

Do Not Trust.

This was the MOST Disgusting place I’ve ever stayed at. We got the jacuzzi room, it was filthy!!! We checked in late so we decided to stay because we had no where else to go. The sheets were not clean, there was hair in the bed and a DEAD DADDY LONG LEG SPIDER in the bed. There was a live stink bug crawling across the night stand. We slept on top of the blanket and froze. The place stunk. We went to the store to buy stuff to clean the tub, didn’t dare get in that thing with out cleaning it first... The lady at the desk was SO Rude. I showed her pictures and she wouldn’t do anything about it. She said “it was our fault for not coming to the desk and saying anything” it was 3 am and we were exhausted. We left drove half an hour away and I looked on my bank account app, and seen that they charged me TWICE!! 93 dollars!! I was so pissed I drove all the way back there, showed her and demanded a refund. I asked too look at the receipt. She wouldn’t let me see it at first and when I went to take a photo of it she came out from behind the desk and came at me for the receipt. Screaming at me and fighting me for it. She ripped it out of my hands. I was so upset I should of called the police.. they ended up refunding me for the second charge. This place needs to be shut down. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had. We should of slept in the car.

LOOK AT THIS 😫😫😫

My husband and I booked a room for a two night stay while visiting friends at a nearby campground. We did not expect luxurious accommodations for the price, but this place should not be in business.
The room was dark and dingy. One lamp worked, the other was at an outlet that did not work. The other working outlet had the tv, cable box, microwave and refrigerator plugged into it. The carpet was old and dirty.
The bed was made with two top sheets (no fitted sheet on bottom).

One of the two lights in the bathroom was not working. Bathroom and fixtures looked like they were circa 1950. Bathroom had dust and dirt in all the corners. I have used rags that were in better condition than the bath towels there. No hand towels or wash cloths were provided. Room was not serviced: wet bath towels were not replaced after first night. I guess that's why there was a coin operated washer and dryer in the ice machine/vending machine room.

Room had two entrances, one to motel hallway and one to outside. A car was parked in front of our outside door for both days. It never moved (disabled?). This meant that the occupants of the room beside us parked in front of their room, and those in the next two rooms did the same which meant we had to park far away from our room. Why there were this many people at a place like this was beyond me. Never again! We only stuck it out because we were visiting friends at their campground. When we were at their trailer, it was like being at a 5 star hotel compared to this place!

I don't even feel this place rates any stars, but apparently have to in order to submit this review.



Avoid!

The reason I gave this a 3 is because them being there with a room for us saved us more riding in the torrential storm we had just come through. We were originally to stay in Mars, PA but the storm made it too dangerous for us, so we were forced to detour here. The rooms are old, dated and in need of refreshing. The lobby smelled terrible, but at the very least we didn't see evidence of health concerns (bugs, mold etc). But would we stay here again  unless we were desperate...no. While the owner was helpful to us, it doesnt make up for the fact this business needs a thorough over haul.

Old and dirty

Stayed here one night on my way to Ontario  and the managers gave me an upgrade. Security was not a problem. The unit itself was immaculate and everything worked well. The motel is old and needs a complete upgrade but my biggest complaint was no Wi-Fi and not even hot coffee the next morning. The owners did recommend a great restaurant to me. They were very pleasant and I enjoyed talking with them.

Should be condemned by the local health department... 
We were in town for a funeral, reservations were made night before, upon arrival,, the building looked as if it needed Major repairs,, the a/c units were busted and parts were missing, the doors had spaces open for rodents and bugs, the bathrooms were moldy and the bedroom smelled of must and mold,,in the back of the building sat debris of old furniture rotted and a mattress leaning against building COVERED IN MOLD,,, when we had checked our room, we pulled back the covers ( NO sheets ) the mattress was stained and wide open ( ancient) and had rusty springs that had bled through the mattress, pulled the cover off the pillow and had stains and hair on pillow,, mildew and mold was present and visible and could smell it, 
We had asked for a refund and the manager said NO, because it was a reservation,, 
Shouldn't it be Mandatory if totally unsatisfactory....? 
Also when we argued for refund,, the manager slammed the window and door on us!! Also I said to the manager " do you smell the must ?" He said no,, I asked " do you live here ?" He said yes,, ""I said that why you don't smell it,, your used to living in filth..!!!""" ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HORRIBLE Conditions,,,, I will post my pictures of nastiness
