Normally, I don’t write reviews about the hotels I stay, but this hotel left with me such a lasting impression that I felt compelled to write one.

Originally, this hotel was not the first choice, as I was looking for one closest to Lake Erie for viewing the solar eclipse. Unfortunately, the hotels in Erie at the time were either booked or cost too high. 

As I was looking for alternative places in northwest Pennsylvania that were within the path of totality, I came across the Seasons Inn. Looking to stay at a place that’s different from regular hotel chains, we ended up booking it here. 

Kasey was very helpful and friendly. When we checked in, he even provided us with solar glasses. We even picked up T-shirts of the solar eclipse that were made locally. He also mentioned that they actually make their own maple syrup on the property. 

The delicious homemade cookies placed on the front desk were all individually wrapped. I’ll admit that I ate one too many! They even made cookies resembling the solar eclipse as well.

The room itself was very clean and well decorated. There was a jar of homemade caramel popcorn that they included. 

While our room doesn’t have a microwave or refrigerator, they do have a microwave and shared refrigerator in the coffee room/dining area. (A good tip would be is to write your name on the handyman’s secret weapon, duct tape, and taping your name on your food container before placing it in the fridge.) They also had a variety of teas and coffees to try. 

The breakfast was delicious and fabulous! Breakfast on the first two mornings included an egg scramble with potatoes and sausage or bacon, which was really scrumptious. 

During our stay, we got to see a couple of local farms. One farm that Kasey recommended was the Hurry Hill Maple Farm, where we got to see how maple sugar was made. The farm also sold the maple syrup from Nick’s Place as well. Also, we got to see a bison farm and petting zoo at Wooden Nickel, which was a surprise as I didn’t realize there were bison in western PA.

Right next to the Seasons Inn had a candy shop and fun activities for the whole family. The miniature golf course was a fun and pleasant activity. It made our stay feel like a country resort.

Also, we got to hear frogs making sounds at night (the locals call them “peepers”) which provided that outdoor country feel.

On the day of the total solar eclipse, we were able to find a place in the grassy field to set up our viewing spot. They also provided us with refreshments (thick, moist chocolate chip cookies and fruit and cheese and crackers as well as drinks including lemonade and Pepsi). They even set up a fireplace to keep us warm and to give that outdoor campfire feel.

What was just a hotel for us to stay and to view the total solar eclipse turned into a getaway resort for us to enjoy. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking for a fun, relaxing time out in the country or for another solar eclipse.

Edinboro’s Hidden Gem under the Eclipse

The inn is part of a family owned compound that features an event venue and includes putt-putt golf. The inn was apparently a home that was transformed to a boutique hotel. 12 rooms. We were in the January room, room 1 of course. Spotless. There is a kitchen available at any time that is well stocked with breakfast items and snacks. The staff (Katie) was very kind and helpful. We felt at ease and relaxed here. Very large and comfortable, it felt like you were staying at your well-off friend's house.

I am so impressed with The Seasons Inn and can’t say enough good things about it! My siblings and I came to stay  when my Mom passed away.  

It’s truly a wonderful place to stay-comfortable beds, nicely decorated rooms, very clean, nice kitchen and common area where we were able to gather and talk. The breakfast items and snacks available were perfect. The owners were so kind and accommodating to us, added nice touches that really made us feel at home, and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and at home during a very difficult time. One morning they even left the most delicious homemade banana chocolate chip bread! 

The location is perfect-right near Edinboro lake and restaurants. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area! 

Best place to stay! 

We came to celebrate our 44th anniversary.  The Inn is a lovely and relaxing place to stay.  It is clean and everyone was so very welcoming.  The only thing we would have liked was a place for guests to sit outside.  We did use the fireplace area when there was nothing going on at Nick's place, but the other night there was an event so we did not get to enjoy it since it is part of the event center.  But everything else is wonderful, thanks to the hosts for making our stay so nice.

The rooms were not so bad, but we didnt have to much time anyways. However they could of done a better job at the  recepcion. I dont think 2
15 min for a check in and 20 to check out is fair. Seems we were quiet late aswell.

Not bad

Edinboro doesn't have many hotel options, so when my wife and I were visiting for an event, we had some trouble finding a place to stay. Fortunately we stumbled upon the Seasons Inn. From the time I called to make the reservation, that staff was very friendly. We weren't able to book on the website, and we didn't get a confirmation e-mail, but we did it that way for many years and it wasn't a problem. 
From the time we checked in, to when we checked out, the staff were polite and helpful. The entire place was clean and welcoming (it is a large property with mini-golf, and bumper boats, etc. and I think is even used as a larger venue) but we didn't explore further than the inn. 
They even offer a wonderful breakfast in a large kitchen just off of the lobby. We were very happy we found the Seasons Inn and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Edinboro. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Just beautiful inn. Very homey, super friendly staff. The bed was so comfortable, breakfast delicious. Don't have one negative thing to say. Would recommend highly. Loved it! We hope to stay again soon.

Excellent

We stayed here after a family wedding. The price was great. Everyone was so accommodating. The room was clean and quite roomy. The breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. There were a few different coffee makers, danishes, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juices and sandwiches that could be microwaved.

Such a gem!

This past weekend my wife and I had the pleasure of saying "I Do" at Nicks Place! Being in the restaurant and catering business I was looking for a particular kind of feel when we were looking for venues over a year ago. We stumbled upon Nicks Place and it instantly felt right- a family owned business! The location was perfect, the venue was perfect and the team was warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. These were the observations we could make from the get-go. However, as we started to talk more and more and work together more and more, Katie and Sarah were just friends, they became our family. I can't even explain how detailed and available they were. There wasn't a single hitch in the entire process. I am very confident that if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have had 1/2 the experience we had. 
Conveniently, they have an inn right next door- I recommend to anyone who is looking to get married here to rent the entire Inn! All 12 rooms! It was our family and friends home for three days, two nights! Every day was a reunion just by waking up and meeting in the kitchen for fast. the whole weekend was STRESS FREE. I wish there were more than five starts because I would give this family 10! (Oh, and there's putt putt right next door too!)

Thanks a million- you're forever engrained in our memories for the most important day of our lives! We will be back (We need a great location for baby showers) :)

Wedding fun!

Overall The Seasons Inn was spectacular. The staff is polite and attentive. The rooms and the rest of the facility were spotless. The breakfast was very good. They fulfilled all of our request and then some. We spent the weekend there with friends and family for our daughters wedding and no complaints from anyone.
