At this low price I expected shabby but clean, and this place is both. BUT I wish I had known the room had no window, one light was out so it was very dim, and the sink drained VERY slowly (half an hour after washing hands).  The door to exit the building had a push-bar but it did not work, one had to turn a knob to exit.  This was a safety concern for me.  I will stay elsewhere next time.

I wish I had known...

I was on a road trip and on our way back to PA we stopped in Somerset. We pulled into the lot as it was one of several motels on a main road, did not look scary and they had  vacancy. The front desk staff was so friendly and polite checking us in he really went out of his way to be welcoming. We were pretty worn out after our road trip and couldn't wait to dive into a bucket of chicken we just bought at the nearby KFC. Our room had two very comfy queen beds, a table and two chairs, flat screen, two small fridges and a large vanity area off of the main room. Room had very comforting heat and plenty of lighting options which was much appreciated by two exhausted travelers. If you are used to expensive chain hotels with hundreds of rooms, fancy lobbies and brand new furniture skip this motel. If you can appreciate a dated small town motel with charm and character then you can relax here. Room was clean, I paid in cash. Kinda bummer I did not get the canopy bed room! Various fast food options which in the times of Covid-19 are your best friend.

Tons of personality

My husband and I stayed here because we had our dogs with us. The front desk was very gracious about not giving us a hard time for having two dogs, when only one is normally allowed.
The linens were clean enough, but my dogs smelled something very interesting to them on the bed spread. That had me a little concerned. Overall decent place for the price, just showing its age.

Just passing through

You need to experience this place, its hospitality and its hosts. Roger has ensured every stay meets personal expectations and ensures you are welcome in your well-prepared room.  An already cooled, TV on, newspaper provided, clean and welcoming room is the usual.  Questions about how to meet personal needs are anticipated and offered at every check-in.  I might have driven by if it weren’t for the AAA recommendations and I am so glad I didn’t. Now I’m a regular customer. This hotel is older and appears a bit rough on the surface but the service is unsurpassed and you are guaranteed a clean, welcoming and personalized stay. I won’t stay anywhere else and I travel to this area often.  Give this place a chance -you and your wallet will be glad you did! Ask for Roger - he will take care of you with kindness and expertise!

Old Fashioned Clean, Personable Hospitality

Found this little gem while in the area working out of town.  Aside from the great rates, the room was clean and comfortable and the Manager and pstaff was friendly and so accommodating!  Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Home away from home

Large clean room. Comfortable bed. Everything you need for a good nights rest. Microwave and mini frig in room. Outside is being worked on but don't let that stop you from stopping.  You will be happy with your room and the great price.

Very friendly staff/owners

Please ignore the other reviews. This is a run down old motel with a poor excuse for breakfast. Yes it’s cheap but that’s about the only good thing I can say. Even the soda we got from the vending machine was 5 years past the expiration date!

No way

We arrived at the hotel with my family at 6 p.m. and we got into the room and left the next day at 7 a.m. We found everything we needed for a short stay, a pretty clean room and a discreet shower. The price of about $70 for a room for four adults makes this a masterpiece, and I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stop by after a long trip.
