I have no idea or when some of these reviews were posted, but our experience was totally opposite.  A young girl checked us in after calling someone to see if she could honor the internet price for the night.  She was very pleasant and accommodating.  The room was really nice!  Very clean, incredibly good bed, refrigerator, microwave, and a nice shower.  It's not a large room but it worked very well for us.  We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The manager on duty, wow how terrible. We walked in to check in, threw us a paper to fill out. I was with a girlfriend, he asked us do we want just one bed,  We already requested two beds. He was checking us out, very crippy. Requested extra towel, he asked us why? Terrible manager, terrible customer service. Never again at this place!

Wow, what a stay. Your treated like a thief needing to ask for anything, ice, towels, iron, blow dryer, etc. Then charge $20 for an hour late check out!!! It is hard vinyl plank floors, no parking, and just the basics....

I would not go to the Galaxie Motel they don't honor reservations.  Several months ago we booked a room.  We were going to the OSU evening football game and didn't want to drive home late at night.  We called 8 days before the game to make sure of the reservation and were assured they had it.  Two days before the game we called to advise them that we would be arriving late after the game and they assured us that would not be a problem.  When we arrived at 11:45 pm we were told they didn't have a room for us.  They had accidentally put the reservation in the recycle pile and gave our room away, they don't use a computer to keep tract of reservations.  They had stacks of post it notes with names in no apparent order.  Their comment was they could not do anything for us.  As disorganized as the office was I can only imagine what the rooms look like.

This is a very good older motel.  It is excellent for budget travelers who appreciate a clean, comfortable room.  Several reviews mentioned the small rooms, but our room is exceptionally large and comfortable.  Nicely furnished, freshly painted and very clean.  Our bathroom is very small with a pedestal sink and no counter, but we have a large kitchenette with lots of nice counter space and big sink, so who cares?  Full frig and microwave.  Plenty of room for luggage and a comfy king bed.  Parking right outside our door.  New laminate wood floors so no yucky, dirty carpet.  Philomath is quite close to Oregon State University in Corvallis so this is a very viable choice for university visitors.  We are very happy to recommend this motel to our fellow budget travelers.

Small older, budget motel with some excellent qualities and good prices!

Standard low cost motel, nice room, bed, free WiFi, complementary coffee in the room.... 3 drawbacks in out visit: 1 - we did not fell welcome by the staff, 2 - VERY noisy fridge, we stayed in a 2nd floor room.

We stayed at the Galaxie Motel for one week while visiting family.  The room was real clean and the people that run the place were nice.  Nice coffee shop and close places to eat.   Will come back the next time we come to Philomath.

Small and dated, but clean and inexpensive room...helpful staff; great place to stay for the night...room is cramped, but not a problem for us...location convenient for our visit to the nearby Finley National Wildlife Refuge...bathroom looks recently remodeled

The room, admittedly, was small.  But it had everything:  snappy wifi, fridge, micro, pod coffeemaker, tub.  Round table and chairs.  But it was quite snug, no little alcove to shove bags.  It was clean, very near a great brewpub.  We'd stay again!

Clean budget motel--we'd stay again!

Found this quaint little gem on TripAdvisor. Suited our needs perfectly. Easy check-in and check-out. Small clean room. Manager was courteous and helpful. Would recommend this hotel for the great value and charm of the place. Right on the main Highway going through town. Little coffee shop next door opens early. Plenty of convenience stores in area and a great little Tavern down the street.
