Our  2 bedroom unit was dirty.   There had been a dog or cat staying there.  Everyday we found  small black hairs on the coffee table.  Like they were floating in the air.   We went to get the sweeper to sweep carpet & floors & living room furniture & all that was there was a 1950’s Bissel  push sweeper.  No electric one.  The kind with the rollers. The pool Area was very nice but dirty.  The  outdoor tables at the pool were not wiped off the entire week we stayed there.  The had snow cones the day we arrived & tables were a sticky mess all week.  The tiles around the  inside pool were so dirty.  The filter on the bottom of hot tub was loaded with black mold.  Every unit has a garage unit under it & we were told we could not use it as 40% of the garages were being used by the resort for their storage.  We were there when it was 114  degrees & would have appreciated a garage to keep our car out of the sun.  The sales person there was relentless.  Called every day even tho we told him we were not buying any more points.  We finally ended up blocking his number after the 4th day.  Resort looks so nice from outside.  Inside rooms a different story.  



Disappointed

It started at check-in. Things seemed fine until we went to the unit. After opening an unlocked door, we were met with hand tools, construction materials, and a dolly. This unit was quite obviously being renovated.

So, we trenched back to the office in the rain to let them know. There was no attempt at an apology. Just a minor eye roll for taking up her time. She handed it off to another worker who gave us another unit.

Overall, it was okay. The sliding patio door barely slid and the patio chairs were covered in dirt and bird droppings. The fridge sounded like it was on its last leg. The porch light didn't work. The family room television seemed precariously perched on the wall. The sofa-bed mattress was terrible and there was no bedding for it.

I mean, we didn't feel unsafe but there have to be better places out there.

Not Terrible But I Won't Stay Here Again

Resort overall was perfect. will recommended anyone who wanted to visit phoenix area. souring there is plenty of thing around to relax and enjoy you time. Mall is within walking distance, restaurant and shopping. 

Desert Aroyo

Raintree Hotel was an absolute gem hidden in the mountains. I saw the pictures before booking, but I had no clue what I was about to walk into. Check-in was easy, and to my surprise, right after check-in, the hotel had a welcome desk where the young lady would help with anything visitors may need locally. That was a first and very, very. Our two-bedroom and two-bathroom suite had an attached garage. Unloading my SUV inside a covered garage was helpful and provided a sense of security. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and everything I could ask for was a place away from home. We used the swimming pool area, which was nice. I noticed a barbecue area, a ping pong table, and an ice machine. Again, things that provided comfort to guests. Overall, I highly recommend it and would gladly go back again! Had I known that this one-night accommodation provided so much ease, I definitely would’ve booked for longer.

Awesome Home Away From Home

Very nice resort. This time of year lots of street construction.  There was a beehive in the pool area and lots of bees swarming. It made it unpleasant to use the pool. My granddaughter was stung. Overall the unit was clean and adequate for my husband and I with 4 grandkids.

Check in was very easy. Friendly front desk person. Helpful,  informative.  TV could be larger in the living room. Mattress needs to be changed, lumps on both sides..not terrible,  but could be better. Kitchen was well equipped,  utensils were very good. Very clean.

Yikes!  While this place looks great on paper (or online), things were a bit different in reality.  Check in was fine and despite things being worn down and sometimes dirty/stained (upholstered chair) i figured it’s fine.  Until i got to the master bedroom and realized there was zero divider between the bed and the actual bathroom.  Like open your eyes and you see the toilet head on.  There was what appeared to be tracks for an accordion divider as well as a shower curtain bar, but no actual divider.  I spoke to the front desk and showed them a picture i snapped and they said they would get maintenance over.  An hour and a half later I went back, spoke with a different manager and was told this is how the room is.  I showed her the photo and she asked who it was booked through, if it’s a third party etc.  I explained the issue and said I can’t believe anyone is ok with this and she told me “the young guests are fine with it, it’s only the older guests who don’t like it” (see the photos and you will laugh!). Finally some unnamed maintenance man came to look at it and agreed it was bizarre and gave us shower curtains to hang ourselves (there was also no curtain for the shower itself).
Filthy floors (like black feet within minutes of stepping out of shower), no divider between king bedroom and bathroom (like eye to eye view with the toilet), the hot tub was closed for a few days and had caution tape floating in the water and haphazardly strewn across handrails, and an absurd amount of bees across the pool deck were the major complaints.  Issues come up, but it seemed like the staff was not interested in addressing them at all.  Instead I was dismissed.  I can’t say I’d recommend it at all

Yikes!

The unit wasn’t ready when contracted. We had to wait over an hour, with zero offer of compensation or even a bottle of water. It is very displeasing when the staff obviously doesn’t give a hoot about first impressions. 

Otherwise the unit was okay, nothing really special.

We don’t care

We stayed 2 nights with 4 adults.  The unit was clean, had some items needing replacement like carpet but was overall everything we needed.  The pool was great and not crowded. They use actual old timey keys.  Careful for the 'welcome gift'...it's what you would expect it to be...a lead in to a sales pitch.  
They were able to make reservations for us as Rustler's Roost (which aren't normally taken) so that was a bonus.

Small resort, everything close by.

Located in a nice, quiet area near walking trails, on the edge of town.  Has all necessities and a washer and dryer. Loved the peace and tranquility.  Garages were also available. Friendly and helpful staff.
