Decent enough which means clean; however, still behind the times of modernization--no elevator!!!  I have had knee surgery and prefer a first-floor room; I called and spoke with a Luis requesting a first-floor room since realizing there was no elevator after reading other reviews of this place and along with extra towels/pillows.  It was noted within the comments of my reservation.  I tried calling the hotel directly to have these ready; however, the phone number on their website is not correct which Luis rendered the correct phone number for me and sent me an updated confirmation email. Arriving, Lakisha/Lasha (?) I was told there were no first floor rooms available.  Now I made my reservations initially in Jan 2023; she replied there were no updates within her computer system of my requesting a first-floor room and the extra towels/pillows.  
The breakfast was quite weak and desperately needs updated. The issue with the doors: side-entry doors locks do not work which you cannot enter through them at any timeframe.
I am not happy with having a request for first floor room not acknowledged.

A First Floor Room Request Not Acknowledge

This is the only Wyndham property within 20-30 miles and I had to be in Siler City for work.  This property is OK, decent as far as Days Inns go, but beware of the staff's over-the-top ridiculous enforcement of their childish policy regarding their side-entry doors.  Outside of one of the side doors is the designated smoking area, and while I don't smoke, there were several of us customers pleasantly outside chatting.  The side-entry door locks don't work, so we were propping the door open slightly, but the staff would repeatedly come and kick our door prop out of the way and slam the door shut on us.  They have this silly paper sign stating that there will be a $150 charge imposed on anyone who props the door open.  So Management's solution to the broken lock is to print a paper sign and train their employees to enforce their stupid policy rather than FIX THE LOCK.  An otherwise decent property gets rated POOR for these infantile and short-sighted actions.

Expect to be underwhelmed

Very nice room! Very clean with comfortable beds and linens. The room I got had only a shower, no tub. Maybe tubs are available in other rooms but this one was an excellent value. Wonderful, quick coffee with the light breakfast provided. Location is handy to restaurants, some shopping, pharmacy, etc. Lots of safe parking. Needed nothing. Friendly, helpful staff. An overall great value, in my opinion.

It's an older building but they do the best they can for as old as it is. No elevator which would have been nice. Breakfast was rather weak. Staff was courteous and helpful. Other than that, it gave us a good night's rest which we needed.

When I arrived at the hotel The woman checking me in was busy smoking a cigarette, when she finally came in she went over all of the rules which was no smoking in the room no smoking in the hallways and no smoking in front of the hotel that if I wanted to smoke I needed to go to my car.   Once I made my way to the room through a very unpleasant odor in the hallways I reached my room to find a very bland undecorated Room.   The only wall that had a picture was the one above the toilet.   I headed downstairs to retrieve more items from my car to find the desk clerk standing in front of the hotel door smoking.  Which kind of left a bad taste in my mouth But later that night I went to fill the Jacuzzi and found that the bathtub had not been cleaned so after cleaning the tub I turned on the jets to enjoy a relaxing bath to find the gross nastiness come out of the jets and ruin my bath The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I didn't see any bugs. the hotel is definitely not a hotel but a cheap motel It'd be better to drive the extra 20 to 30 minutes to find a better hotel in a different area.

False Advertsing

We stayed at the Days Inn in Silver City, NC on October 22-23, 2022.  The lady at the desk, Sherry. was very helpful despite the fact that she was working alone with no assistance from anyone to check in guest, attend to room problems, etc.. When we discovered that the tv in our room was not working properly, she tried her very best to assist us bringing additional remotes to the room to see if they would change the channels.  Unfortunately the tv was stuck on one channel, and we could only watch the cable news.  Sherry said that she would arrange for the morning manager to take some money off of our room charge.  She offered to change our room but we were too tired to move because we had checked in late and it was close to 11:00 p.m.   In the morning when I asked the front desk manager if this had been done she replied that we were given  a $10.00 credit and that it would take a few days to show on my credit card.  It is November 1, 2022 and I have yet to see any type of credit on my  charge card.  Now I have stayed at this hotel before may be about 10 years ago and I could see that some improvements were made over the years.   If I recall when I was there previously we  had to change rooms because the tv wasn't working.  Why is this still a problem ten years later???????  Renovations are still needed here before you think about checking in at this place.  As hotels are. very limited in Siler City, try a hotel in some of the surrounding cities like Asheboro which is only 20 -30 minutes away.

Your options are very few and if staying in Siler City, this Days Inn would be your choice as it was ours.  It was clean, most of the remodeling is finished and the staff did their best to take care of us and a very large check-in group needing specific room requirements. 

Our TV did not work which normally we wouldn't care but our NBA basketball team was playing that night in a very important game and we couldn't watch it?   Staff tried to resolve the issue, but could not.  So we sat on the breakfast chairs by the front door in the lobby as people were coming in and out to watch our game on the lobby TV.   TVs that don't work should not happen at a Wyndham Days Inn.  

The best place to say in Siler City

the only reason this isn't the worst hotel stay I've ever had is because we saw no obvious signs of bugs.  This place is DISGUSTING.  If you stay there bring your osha approved respirator for the mold and Muck books for the floor

Under renovation and you don’t know till you arrive.
Your breakfast consisted of orange, yogurt and a water in a papersack. Kids of workers running around in hallways throughout the night while parents were working.

False advertising...under renovation and breakfast is a papersack with a water,orange and yogurt!

I visited here in July for a family gathering. My visits here was terrible. First off I when I got to the hotel it was like 3am. I requested a room and payed. When I got to the room I noticed a sour smell. I figured it was from the carpet so I told my son to keep something on his feet. After preparing to go to bed my friend who was with me started finding different issues with the room. I went to school for hospitality so that issue caused me to go into house keeping mode. What I found was horrible. There was dirt in the hot tub and I mean dirt in the middle of the hot tub which means that room didn’t get cleaned or it wasn’t cleaned the proper way. Then I pulled back the sheets. There stains and other things on the mattress itself. I know I should have reported it then but we were so tired that we just slept on top of the comforter that was on the bed. The next morning we ran into the cleaning crew and asked them to please clean our room. When we returned from our function we checked the room and nothing was done. The sheer that was on the bed just got flipped to the other side. I told the receptionist about the situation and she said that we should have told her but either way the room should not have ever been in that condition. I tried to get my money back but the company didn’t do anything. Also the receptionist told us that there is a fine for smoking in the room but asked if we did smoke we could pay the fine so we could smoke. FYI we don’t smoke but that was unprofessional. Also the receptionist and her daughter looked high themselves. Also the hotel looks like people actually live there it’s just a mess and because it’s in Siler city I’m pretty sure it gets overlooked. I have pictures to go with this review. I stayed here once before and the room wasn’t like that. So idk what was going on this visit
